Hampton Inn Times Square North - Nueva York

This hotel is very central close to many restaurants in the area. Very good service at the reception desk and when making arrangements for transfer to the airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds.

We stayed 4 nights. Great staff, friendly and welcoming. Massive comfortable bed, shower could have been hotter, but the only minor gripe. It definitely woke us up for breakfast. Food on offer was always varied, plentiful and well prepared. Good coffee & tea available all hours. Very central hotel surrounded with good food places.All the main tourist sites are close by.

This hotel was great. I stayed there with my mum, dad, sister and baby niece. The staff were friendly and the hotel was comfortable and clean. I would definately stay here again. The location was great. We did have a problem witht he concierge booking us an airport transfer which meant we were forced to pay $100 instead of the $55 we should have. The manager on duty said she would contact me after investigating the problem but I am still waiting for her. It seems that they dont follow up on unhappy guests. This unfortunately spoilt an otherwise very happy stay.

Excellent location. Good clean room but a little small for four people. Needs extractor for the bathroom and did not have a refrigerator.

The Hampton Inn Time Sq North was a great starting point to go anywhere in the city. It is close to several subway lines, within walking distance to Time Sq, Broadway theaters and even Central Park. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The room was exactly as pictured, and the breakfast was very good, a big selection of hot foods, bagels, fruits, cereal, juice, etc. Complementary coffee and tea were available 24 hours. Overall a good experience, we'd stay there again. A good value in NYC.

Situated in the heart of everything. The rooms were very big & spacious compared to other hotel rooms in the area. The staff were very helpful & weren't 'in your face' . The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was a great start to the day. Fast checking-in & out. Nothing bad to say about the hotel, staff or rooms.

"Best Breakfast in New York" that was the sign in reception, if thats the case, I dread to think what the rest are like. Also the consierge was not at all helpful.

I ended up putting the mattress on the floor to sleep. The hotel made no attempt to try and resolve the room issue. Their staff seemed uninterested and when I spoke with them about this they seemed annoyed. I will not be staying there in the future.

We chose the Hampton for the availability of queen size beds, most other NYC hotels are doubles. Cleanliness was OK, not as good as other Hamptons. Loved the breakfast bar, it was very crowded but they replenished the food often. It was nice not having to go outside the hotel for the morning coffee. Parking was right next door and convenient. Getting in and out of Manhattan wasn't that bad since the Lincoln Tunnel is nearby. We would definitely stay here again, given the location and convenience.

Liked the breakfast - need more elevators

absence of noise, considering location, was amazing -- no squeaking beds, no incessant traffic noise (due to double-pane windows), no slamming doors, no overhead tramping (due to solid construction) much more roomy than most 'boutique' hotels, plus all theaters are within 5-10 minutes' walk nearby Food Emporium was a godsend tho in 8 consecutive years of visiting NYC we've looked for a new hotel every time but once, we'll try to stay at the Hampton Inn again

We stayed here during a recent vacation, and were delighted with the location of the hotel. We walked to many attractions, and seemed to end up finding things to do in/around Times Square every night. Also, be sure to check out the restaurants along 9th Avenue. A change from the "franchise" restaurants in Times Square. Unique food at the same price. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend to others.

I will admit I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hampton Inn Times Square North. The room was very comfortable and clean and the staff was very courteous. The only negative thing i could say about my stay was the limited breakfast selection. The "full breakfast" selection was highlighted both online and inside the hotel but when the time came to go have breakfast, needless to say i was disappointed. The breakfast was not hot at all and by no means was it a "full breakfast" selection

Typical stay with Hampton, quite satisfied; friendly, clean and not too luxurious but provides services as you need them. Highly reccomended.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. I will always stay at this hotel when in New York Time Square. The location was perfect. The breakfast was great and the staff - everyone (bagman, cleaning, front desk and breakfast personnel) was exceptional.

Good location - you can take the subway from JFK to the station located across the street on 51st and 8th. Staff were excellent - friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and apitising, but arrive early as it can become very busy. The free tea, coffee and hot chocolate was a good bonus.

Situated just 10 minutes walk from Times Square and just opposite the subway. The Reception staff were extremely polite and helpful. A good range of breakfast items on offer each morning - suggest an earlier rather than later sitting as the dining room was very busy after 08.00. Would definitely stay here again and I strongly recommend it.

Outstanding location and hotel personnel. Close to subway locations and fine dining. Our 4 day stay was the best!!!!!

The hotel is conveniently located to the theater district. It was very clean and the staff was excellent. At this price, I would certainly return.

Very reasonable rate, considering that: 1) the location is very close to Times Square and even closer to the theater district, and ; 2) it was certainly a nice place, and a very nice place for the money for pretty much anywhere in Manhattan. The only downsides were: additional charge for a second (third, etc.?) person in a room; additional charge for a parking pass (although probably cheaper than paying for parking on your own); no eggs at the breakfast; the two elevators can get backed up a pick when crowds are around.

We stayed here for a long weekend.Family of four.Room had 2 queen size beds and there was room for all of us.Complimentary buffet breakfast satisfied my hungry boys and it was nice to be able to get coffe ,tea or hot chocolate at anytime in the lobby.Hotel within short walk of Times Square, Hop on and of Bus office , restaurants, theatres etc. We will definitely stay here again.

We couldn't have asked for better. Great location, rooms clean and spacious, free tea and coffee available. The hotel provides a free breakfast in the morning but get there before 8:30 or else it gets really really busy with nowhere to sit. Other than that we would definately stay there again.

My wife, daughter and I stayed here in May. The room was clean and just the place to crash after a hard day looking at the sites. We had one room with to double beds which were plenty large enough. We all loved the hotel and thought it was fantastic value. The breakfast was complimentary and was just the thing to start us off every day. They had free coffee available 24 hours a day in the reception plus at certain times they had complementary fruit and cookies(the reception even gave us free bottled water when we asked).

This hotel totally exceeded our expectations. Review after review raves about the location of the hotel, and they're all true! The hotel is right down the street from the Gray Line tour bus stop, the theater district, the subway. A few blocks to Times Square and Central Park. Another reviewer really helped us a lot, so I'm going to pay it forward... Getting to the hotel from JFK is a snap. Take the AIRTRAIN from JFK to the Jamaica Station. From there, take the E train to 50th St. Walk up 1 block to 51st St, and you're there. Cost us $7.50/person! The free breakfast buffet wasn't just your run of the mill continental b-fast...it was great. The hotel staffers are friendly and helpful. The only critique I have is that the walls are a bit thin. Heard the roudy boys in the next room till 2AM. Otherwise, we would stay at the Hampton Inn again in a heartbeat!

I was very pleased with the location of this Hampton Inn and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

I vacation in New York every year or two, staying in the Times Square area. Each visit I've chosen at a different hotel, because each one had some drawbacks. However, the next time I go back, I'll definitely return to the Hampton Inn Times Square. For the money, it can't be beat. The hotel itself is conveniently located just a block west and three or four blocks north of the "heart" of Times Square and the theater district. Plus, there's a subway stop right next to the hotel so you can easily go virtually anywhere. The hotel staff was extremely friendly. Plus, they have a consierge service if you need assistance making reservations, advice on local restaurants, theater tickets, etc. The room I stayed in was rather large for New York city standards. It was well-maintained and had a large flat-screen HDTV. Local calls and Internet access were free. And, best of all, they offer free buffet-style breakfast every morning. I didn't know about that when I booked, so that came as a pleasant surprise. Overall, it's definitely a legitimate 3-star hotel. I chose it primarily because of all the positive reviews I read on this website. The hotel did not disappoint. Next time I return to New York, it's a no-brainer where I'll stay.

If you are looking for a theater district/Times Square area hotel for a relatively decent price, this is a great choice. Located a few blocks from Times Square and within reasonable walking distance of most theaters, this is a terrific choice. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and are actually as large as normal hotel rooms, unlike most shoebox sized New York hotels. In a room with two beds there was even enough space for a desk and an armchair! The staff was friendly and helpful and we were more than satisfied with the stay. The rooms aren't fancy or "hip," but will give you a nice home away from home on your New York stay. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in the area, and this is easily one of my new favorites.

Our experience at the Hampton was a satisfactory one, though not exceptional. The staff was halpful and courteous and really, we have no complaints, other than the fact that on one of the days of our stay, we were away from the hotel for more than five hours and returned to find that the room had not yet been cleaned. We were soaking wet from a sudden cloud burst and had to help the maid change out the towels and amenities. We had to opt to not have her make the bed or it would have taken much longer. That was unacceptable and I blame the hotel management for not having sufficient staff to cover the needs of the maid.

Everything was great. Friendly staff. Breakfast was great. Wifi did not work in the room.

The hotel, as others have posted offers a great breakfast each morning. For our stay this reduced our expenses by at least $20 each day. The location was also great, jsut a short walk to Times Square or Central Park and right across the street from the tour buses. The rooms were very nicely appointed and were average size. Would only stay here in the future.

Excellent service, very, very good room, excellent beds and pillows, great location to Times Square and subways. Would definately stay there again.

We were within walking distance to Times Square, NBC studios and the Broadway show "Wicked". Just a few blocks from the Grayline bus tours as well. Staff was wonderful, courteous and helpful. Concierge was great!

It's great that the parking garage is right there. Breakfast at the hotel is a good thing. I wish there were a refrigerator in the room.

Me an my Family ( husband an two children 4yrs old an a 9mos. old) We checked it on june 4th, The location was great, Great breakfast, nice staff members, clean rooms... We are planning another trip to the city again an we are going to stay here...

We stayed here from May 24-29th and had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly and courteous, (we asked for a refrigerator and they brought one right up to our room in minutes) the rooms were nice and clean, and the hotel is in a great location. They are just blocks away from Times Square and the Theater District – we could literally see the Gershwin Theater from our hotel room which was convenient since we had tickets to see “Wicked.” Also, the hotel was within walking distance from Central Park and the Port Authority (only about 9/10 blocks away) which was convenient since we rode a Greyhound bus to and from New York. There is also a subway station right across the street. We seriously could not have asked for a better location!! The hotel amenities are great too – we really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. It was nice to fill up on a free breakfast before we left the hotel for the day. They also provided “breakfast on the go” bags for people who didn’t have time to sit down and eat. In addition, there was free coffee, hot chocolate, tea in the lobby all day long (and sometimes fruit and cookies) which came in handy because the weather was a little chilly during our trip. The hotel also had free internet kiosks and a place to check your luggage (in case you arrived before check-in or were staying after check-out) so you could go sightseeing and not have to worry about lugging your baggage with you. I will DEFINITELY be staying at this hotel for all future trips to New York. We had a wonderful time here and really enjoyed ourselves.

The staff at the Hampton Inn go out of their way to make you comfortable. All of them were wonderful.
