Club Quarters in Washington DC - Washington, D.C.

Directly over a metro station, cant ask for a better spot. Restaurant next door was not to my taste but hotel is wonderful.

The hotel was in walking distance to most of the sights that we wanted to see. The parking was only $15 which was cheaper than most other hotels. The room was pretty small, but it was fine since we didn't spend much time inside. I will most likely be staying there again on my next visit to D.C.

This was a nice hotel for the rate. Nothing extremely fancy, but had a great location (close to all the sights to see). My only complaint would be the loud construction that was across the street in the morning, other than that I'd recommend it.

Room was just one foot wider than the bed, coffee maker did not work. You could easily miss the hotel entrance. Building was right next to metro entrance though. Service was expedient and they made effort to make it good.

Love this hotel. Very convenient location on the Metro line. Exceptional staff who are very courteous and always most helpful.

While the room wasn't particularly large, I've never been the sort concerned with the size of a hotel room. Other than the size of the room my only issue with my stay at the Washington, DC Club Quarters was that the bathrooms were lackluster. On the other hand, the location is simply amazing, just above the Ferragut West station the DC Club Quarters is a perfect spot for any visit to DC. Particularly on holidays when the Metro can be horrifically busy, being this close to the center of town makes walking wherever you'd like terribly simple. As an added little benefit there are complimentary water bottles, great for walks on a hot DC summer day.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days. The front desk was very kind and helpful. The bathroom was quite small and we had only 1 face and hand towel. There was a business centre where one can use broadband for free if one does not have wi-fi equipment. Hotel is located at the same corner where metro station, close to White House, Washington Monument etc. There is no breakfast included but we paid $13 for 2 hot breakfast sandwiches and tea/coffee in the nearby cafe. Recommended

I wanted something near a metro line to get around and this was perfect. Literally steps from the Farragut exit. I checked in at the kiosk and got my key and was in my room in minutes. Rooms are very small, but I didn't spend much time there, so no worries. Nice TV, bed comfortable, etc. The restaurant next door was excellent and the business center provided a great opportunity to print my boarding pass. They also held my luggage past check out, so that was convenient. Only complaint was another room near me had smokers. My second night was tough due the smoke smell (must have been through the vents).

This hotel is perfect b/c it is within walking distance to all of the sights. Also, the front desk staff was incredibly courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Very sufficient and great location.

The concept of this chain is sound: provide a business traveler with a small room in a convenient location with only the services s/he needs, at a price cheaper than full-service hotels. The D.C. property, however, didn't execute the concept particularly well. The location (close to Farragut West Metro station) was fine, the minimalist room was clean enough, and the wireless internet connection for no extra fee was appreciated. However, the elevator to the Lower Level (where the small fitness room was located) was broken, one of the three fitness machines was broken, and the wake-up call arranged with the front desk never came. Also, the room had no safe in which to store valuables. On the positive side, staff members were generally friendly. Conclusion: just OK for an overnight stay.

Location and rate were perfect for our weekend combination business/pleasure stay. Resonable overnight parking was available nearby. The Metro station entrance that is literally only steps from the hotel is closed on weekends, but the next entrance was only one block away. Coffee, microwave and refrigerator are available in the room. We will definitely check availability for our next visit to the area.

Hotel room was very nice and clean. Nice furniture and very comfortable beds. The sofa bed was horrible. You can feel all the springs and it made a lot of noise. The blue/orange line metro is literally in the same building. Red line metro is only a block away. So convenient. There's restaurants within walking distance and the White House is only 4 blocks away. We were just a block from the President's Guest House too. You can take the Metro everywhere.

Wonderful location for sightseeing. Not many restaurants around here for dinner, but the metro is right next to the hotel so you can easily get to other spots around the city.

We went for a family vacation during cherry blossom festival. The hotel was in a perfect location. We walked to the White House (2 blocks) and washington monument. the metro station is out the front door and steps to the right!! great restaurants in the area, all withing walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are pretty spacious, but the front desk was very abrupt and generally didn't seem to care.

Great location at a great price. The room was larger than expected and very clean and comfortable. Three METRO stations within a block: one was just outside the hotel entrance but closed on weekends. Check-in/out was very easy and hotel staff was very helpful.

The hotel advertises that they have parking for $15 a day, which is basically true. What they do not say is that is the parking is three blocks away and has limited hours. The parking is run by an independant company. The front desk told us the parking was available 24 hours a day, however, we missed going to one appointment because we waited over a hour to get our car out of the lot. We even tried to call the off-hours number listed at the parking site but nobody answered the number. I called 5 times 4 hours later when I got a call back from the garage which was three hours too late. Also "king" bed was really two smaller beds placed side by side and you could not sleep in the center.

Hotel was a really good bargain for the DC area on a weekend night. Room was decent size with very comfortable bed. I would definitely stay there again if in DC on personal business.

The Club Quarters is a very well-run and well-kept hotel. The room was very clean and well laid out. One major problem was the extreme softness of the bed. It was very enveloping making it hard to get in and hard to turn over -- changing position in the bed required a great deal of effort. Some may have no problem with beds like this, but we found it a nuisance. ALso, the light in the bathroom was EXTREMELY bright with no way to control it. Admittedly, that's a very personal opinion but it was blinding if one got up during the night to use the facility! Another point about the bathroom was the extreme flimsiness of the shower curtain and the very shallow curb on the shower which caused the bathroom floor to flood. It was necessary to turn the shower head almost completely to the wall to keep the floor dry. And one last thing -- the selection of channels on the television was modest to say the least and the volume control appeared to have two positions -- on or off. Most of these complaints are minor but the bed was a real problem. On the positive side, the restaurant on the ground floor was very good and very welcome as the neighborhood does not have many choices of places to eat at a civilized (after 8:00 p.m.) hour.

This hotel is less costly than the other hotels in the area, and is literally just a couple blocks from the White House! It's a great location if you're looking to sitesee around D.C. It's clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is at a nearby garage and is $15 overnight, which is VERY cheap if you've ever stayed in a larger city before while traveling. Definitely recommended.

Its located just above the local subway, the subway will get you most anywhere a tourist would need to go, it was inexpensive and comfortable, my room was located right next to a purified water dispenser which has free bottles, a nice touch. the cafe on the first floor seems cute. just 4 short blocks from the whithouse, for the tourist/traveler on a budget this pace was great. The hotel breaks away from the usual budget hotel feel

The room was a minimum required size and the bathroom was very small. The bathroom was not your typical square, but rather it had slants to it so that when you used the toilet seat your knees were right up against the wall. I did have the least expensive room in that hotel and others who stayed at the more expensive hotels paid a lot more than I did. There was no free breakfast, but they had free internet available and they even accomodated me with a small fridge and microwave. The people were very accomodating. If you are on a tight budget, this is a fair place to stay.

Rooms are small but have everything that is needed and very clean and quiet. The location is great as well and I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Hotel only one block from the White House. Walking distance to Washington Monument. Subway stations very close by makes it easy to get around.

While the lobby is small, the room was nicely done and attractive. There is a very nice restaurant and bar downstairs as well. The location is excellent - just a few blocks from the White house.

Great location for seeing sights, though not for finding someplace open for breakfast on a weekend. Very comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Despite rooms not being very large, they are clean and confortable. Excellent location next to Metro station. Walking distance from major sites, esp. White House, etc. Recommended.

Very affordable and great for the frequent traveler. me and my girlfriend stayed for a long weekend and both thought it was great.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The first night we were given a single room even though we paid for and booked a standard room; it was cramped for 2 people and the closet door was broken. When we addressed this with the hotel staff on 2 separate occasions, they said this was the only room left and didn't offer anything to remedy the situation. However, the location was great - right next to the Metro and just a couple of blocks from the White House. Although the room was small, it was clean and the bed was comfortable.

It was everything that I expected it to be. The rooms were pictured great, the staff was welcoming, and the area was excellent.

This hotel is less than a block from the White House. In light of that location, the price is spectacular. The Metro station is 10 feet from the front door. The room I stayed in was small, but well appointed and elegant. They offer to bring exercise equipment to your room! Great spot!
