My Wife and I stayed at the Chancery Court in an executive room with breakfast and quite honestly I am struggling to find anything to report that was less than excellent. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The facilities at the hotel were very good and the prices of the food in the restaurant and spa were quite reasonable. I would certainly stay there again.

Staff were friendly and happy..nd made sure that we enjoyed our luxury break to the end..absolutely brilliant..now to start saving again!

You know how the photographs on the internet never seem to really depict what you see when you get to the real thing...well this is one of those rare places where what you see is what you'll get. As you drive into the courtyard of this hotel, you immediately sense that you're somewhere special. Several attendants are immeidately avaiable to help you with luggage and information. The rooms are beautifully decorated and adorned with attractive moldings. You are one block away from the Holborn station on the Metro, and a manageable walk away from the Covent Garden area (with plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from). If you double the distance to Covent Garden, you get to Trafalgar Square. We never took the Metro, as at 4 pounds a person (we were four) it made more sense to jump into a taxi (our biggest fare was from the hotel to Victoria Station area to see Wicked at the Apollo theatre and amounted to 16 pounds). There is a all day Metro pass for 6.40 pounds but given our schedule it still made sense for us to do taxis. All in all, this is a great place to stay while visiting London, and I won't be looking at any other place to stay on my next visit.

I can't recommend the Renaissance Chancery Court highly enough. The room was large and luxurious, with a comfortable bed, great towels and a fluffy robe. The concierge was always helpful and all the staff courteous and attentive. The Renaissance is near Covent Garden and within walking distance of the British Museum, the west end plays and even Trafalgar Square, if you are a person who likes to walk. It's very close to the Holburn tube stop, which is on two of the subway lines. I booked the room about five months in advance and got a great rate through hotels.com. I would have expected to pay much more for a room in a hotel of this quality.

This was our first trip to London. The hotel was beyond all expectations. It was very beautiful, clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. It was located within walking distance of all major tourist attractions and we were able to see Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, The Parliament Building, Harrods, and many other sites all on foot. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The only negative was the breakfast buffet. It was very pricey and service was slow. The food was "okay". I would recommend eating breakfast elsewhere.

This hotel is a bit out of the way and a bit pricey compared to some of the other hotels in London, but if you're looking for a fabulous American-style hotel room (yes, bath AND shower!) and terrific service, I think this hotel is well worth a visit. We genuinely enjoyed ourselves and couldn't possibly have had better service from any of the staff members we encountered. Very highly recommended.

Staff very efficient if somewhat formal. Room ideal though modest in size (looking at fire escape plan ours was smaller than most), with only real drawback was proximity to servcie lift or some noise source. Air con not the best. However, room spotlessly clean and beautiful bathroom with very powerful shower. Loaction is ideal for Covent Garden, Leicester Sq and literally 2 min walk to tube station (Holborn). Would stay again.

As we were lucky enough to have got some centre court tickets to Wimbledon we decide to splash out a little on a hotel. We chose this hotel because it was 5 star with a deal on 3rd night free. It is ideally situated just 1 min from Holborn underground station. We had a club room which was not as large as expected but still very well appointed with fabulous 400 thread count bedding - so smooth and comfortable. The room faced the inner courtyard so we had no trouble sleeping - would not have said we were in London it was that quiet. Luckily breakfast was included in the price but at £49 for 2 I think this was very expensive and would not have bought it if it has not been included. The top sights are all not too far away - we went to the Palace Theatre to see Priscilla Queen of the Desert - a must - so much fun and very camp - this was only a 10 minute walk away. We took the tube to the Eye but it was actually within walking distance. Covent Garden about 5 minutes away. Overall a great stay - lovely hotel , very comfortable, efficient polite staff, lovely room - a great stay.

I have marked the ratable items as 4 but the hotel overall as 3. The reason for this is that our hotel room was a good 6-8 minute commute from the main part of the hotel and EVERYTHING costs a few quid. However, the staff were great, there are loads of places to eat in the area.

This is probably the best "Typically American" hotel in London. The rooms are quite large and the marble bathrooms are beautiful. My wife and I had previously stayed at the property two years ago and the repeat visit was even better than our first. This is a beautiful Marriott property that has a marvelous staff that will help you in every way to make your visit to London a pleasant one. The only weak point is the expensive Pearl restaurant. The are many cheaper places toeat within a five minute walk.I would not hesitate recommending the Renaissance Chancery Court to anyone desiring a wonderful stay in London. The Undergroud is a couple of minutes walk as is the British Museum. Covent Garden is about ten minutes and the theatre district is around five more minutes.

The hotel itself is great. We were put on the Club floor and were treated to great continental breakfast, canapes and drinks in late afternoon and, if around, desserts in the evening. One of the most outstanding features of the Chancery Court is the Staff - always there to be of service. The doorman, Chris, and the Concierge were great with suggestions and directions. The hotel is located just a few blocks from the Picadilly tube line at Holburn station and was so very convenient. Loved this stay!

I booked this hotel becuase of the particularly good value - but I was looking at top london hotels and was considering other "big names" in my range of choices. the deal here was too good to pass up. Then we arrived. From the moment we were greated in the entry court, the service at this hotel was top notch. The hotel itself is beautful, and the room was excellent, including the real Marriott bed. I can't say enough good things. The breakfast in the Pearl restraunt was the best found during my trip in the UK, and the hotel is right next to the Holborn tube station on the central line - 1 stop from Covent Garden, two from Leicester Square. Short walk to the west end. For a cheap and excellent dinner, hit Pizza Express across the street - it is a Euro Chain, but the food is outstanding. We stayed on the club lounge floor, and our rate included the ful breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel for business or personal stays in London.

With good pubs near by I never ate at the hotel restaurant or drank in the bar. They both looked lovely but having gotten a great deal on the room I didn't want to blow it at the hotel bar. This hotel was in a great location. We had only 2 nights, and had never been to London, so location was very important. 10 minute walk to Covent Garden with lots of pubs, cafes and shopping. 3 minute walk to the "tube" station for easy access all over town. Bell Staff were lacking, you're better off moving your own luggage. Took 2 hours on arrival day, and they lost a bag. On departure day, the took almost 45 minutes to get to us, which we ended up paying for as a cab was waiting for us, and charged us for it.

The hotel is really beautiful almost imposing, very elegant in an old fashioned way - the decoration reminds one of the neo-classical style. It is very well located for sightseeing and shopping - lots to be found at walking distance. I loved the courtyard. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was spacious, but cozy and quiet, even though it looked out onto the street and the king size bed quite comfortable. The bathroom was absolutely clean, plenty of towels, bathrobes were provided. Breakfast buffet was excellent, lots of choice, though a bit on the expensive side. On the other hand, the meal we had in the "Lounge" was less impressive, maybe it was our choice of dishes but the selection was kind of heavy, not much on the menu for vegetarians or people who are trying not to gain weight. We didn't have time to visit all the facilities, so can't say much about those, but they seem to have a lovely spa.
