Maplewood Inn Syracuse - Liverpool

We enjoyed our short stay in this hotel. Our only issues were the restaurant and no fridge in the room. The restaurant did not have a vast array of choices and the bar did not know how to make 2 popular drinks. We would definately stay here again!!

My wife, myself, and our two young boys stayed at this hotel over Labor Day weekend. We were in town for a family reunion, and had many different events to go to. The hotel is located just south of the 81/90 interchange, perfect for getting on either and getting to where you need to go. The hotel itself is fairly new and clean. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, as were the beds. There is a breakfast buffet, but we didn't try it. There is a cafe located onsite, and the pizza is pretty good. There is also a spa located on the second floor. While we didn't use it, the prices listed on a plaque in the elevator seemed quite reasonable. All in all, we had an excellent experience here, and will definitely consider staying here again.

I've driven by the hotel countless times but I've always stayed on the other side of the city. This hotel is convenient to the highway, the University and the airport. It doesn't look like much, but was very nice and had more character than the national chain hotels.

Room was clean, spacious, comfortable for family with two teenagers. Nice pool. Great breakfast. Good restaurant attached. Only suggested improvement would be the crappy exercise room, but that was very minor disappointment.

I paid an extra day to check out at 5 PM. They made no concessions. The breakfast had only cereal, bagels, and waffles. The juice and coffee was awful. I came late at 9:15 am and it closed at 9:30 am. they did offer breakfast sandwiches but I did not see any of it. My wife went to get a spoon in the breakfast room after 9:30 and was told they were out of spoons by the customer service person. They did not attempt to get another one in the storage room. They abruptly close and lock up the breakfast room after 9:30 am. this is very cheap......the pipes underneath the bathroom faucet kept on leaking. Maintenance came up to fix it twice and still it leaked. the pool had too much chlorine. Customer Service was not pleasant. It just seemed like the staff was there just to do their job. I would never stay at this place again when I go on business trips.

It was a pleasent stay. Room was very clean. Only problem was the a/c wall unit was quite noisey. I was so tired that I was able to block it out. Other then that, staff was friendly and I would go back there again.

I booked this hotel because my sister and daughter had an early flight out and didn't want to drive the hour down from where I live so it was short notice. The cost for the stay was still a little much for me considering we checked in at 1700 and checked out at 0430. The pool is very tiny but perfect for my very young children to still have fun. We also ordered from the downstairs cafe and they brought our food right up to the room. It was delicious food too and we just left the tray outside the door for pickup. When we first walked in the room I was actually quite suprised with how nice it was. The beds were very comfortable and they actually had nice bed spreads vs the typical crazy print thin as paper comfortors other hotels use. They were nice and thick and plenty of pillows to support you while reading or watching tv. The bathroom was large but strangly set up because you have to step to the side of the toilet in order to close the door to access the shower. They offer bath and body works products for your use as well. That was a plesant suprise. Checkout was swift with no hassels, they do have a shuttle service but it doesn't start until 0700 so we were unable to use it. All and all I would stay here again for any future flights out of syracuse.

The first comfortable hotel pillow I've ever used. Name brand bath products. Cable TV. Wireless and wired internet. Small breakfast facility.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Obviously they enjoyed their work and made the visit not only pleasant but very satisfying.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delightful. It would be in the top ten of hotels we have visited throughout the US. Do not hesitate to go there.

This hotel was at the intersection of I-90 and I-81, not a prescription for a charming location. The hotel itself had a very bare bones feel. The staff was cheerful and helpful. It is not in the downtown Syracuse, so going anywhere required driving.

I returned to this hotel a second time with my family after a business trip because I enjoyed my stay so much the first time. The restaurant is excellent, however the second time I visited, they were closed 30 min earlier than advertised when we tried to get a bite to eat. There is a spa on site and the therapist was excellent. Also, the pool is very clean, despite it being tiny. The water is almost as warm as a hot tub! Staff are well trainined and very helpful/ friendly. You probably won't find a better value for your buck.

We often stay at the maplewood just to get away for the night and enjoy the heated pool and spa. The service is nice, they have a really good breakfast sprwad and the rooms are always clean. The beds are pretty uncomfortable but other then that we love the maplewood.

Nice hotel and not too far from downtown and the university. Continental breakfast needs improvement.

The location is right off 81 and 3 minutes from the mall, so very convenient. My only complaint would be the shortage of towels (which they tried to rectify before need was immanent) and that the component video hookup on the back of the TV were not functional. And the remote's aspect ration button didn't work. But most people would not care about any of that.

The hotel was right off the main highway. Service was excellent. Restaurant was amazing. I asked for something not on the menu and the chef made it for me. The amenities are more than what you pay for including a spa located right next to my room with a massage therapist. Decor was newly updated and so clean! Slept right through the night. I plan to return to the area just for this hotel.

Hotel is fine other than a very musty smell, in the hallways. The rooms are fine I always bring a nice candle for such events.

We stayed here for two nights while attending a dance competition and convention at the On Center in Syracuse. The location was perfect - only a few exits from the On Center and very close to the Carousel Mall. The staff were extremely helpful. Our traveling companions asked to be moved to a room across the hall from us and their request was accomodated with a smile. Our room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast met our needs. Although the pool was somewhat small (20 person max occupancy), it was big enough for the kids to splash around and have fun. We had a snow storm on Friday night & the parking lot was plowed when we got up Saturday morning. I'd recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised that this hotel was as nice as the price. The staff was friendly, it was clean and updated, bed was comfortable. I would definately stay again.

Close to shopping center, great staff, wonderful restaurant and very pet friendly. Could have had larger pool and gym. Overall nice place to stay.

We were visiting our daughter so the location was great and I was pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel. My only complaint was that the TV's remote control did not work.

Shower drain didn't work so shower filled up with water which never drained out. Front desk didn't answer the phone on three separate occasions. two hockey teams staying in hotel running around all night knocking on all of the doors. We found out about the teams staying there when we checked in but were assured that they were closely supervised. We were kept up almost all night.

The room was clean and spacious, it was conveniently located, and it had a nice little bar and restaurant. I would stay there again, rather than one of the big chains; check-in and out were very prompt, and the continental breakfast was fine.

This was a weekend away with two other mothers and all of our 7 children. We were treated like royalty from the moment we walked through the door. The staff was extremely friendly and bent over backwards to make us happy. That included the hostess and waitstaff of the attached restaurant. To give us a break, they sat the kids at a table seperate from the three parents and did their best to accomodate the children without parent involvement. Then we woke this morning (after a snow storm) to find that not only was the parking lot plowed, but all of the cars in the parking lot were being cleared of snow and ice. The pool was the perfect size and temperature. The continental breakfast was exactly what one would expect. The only thing I did not give a 5 above was the condition of the hotel and that is only because they are currently repairing and painting in the lobby areas. However, signs were displayed prominently asking patrons to watch for wet paint and to please excuse the renovations. It was very easy to do given the very high quality of the customer service provided. Needless to say, we will be staying in the Maplewood Inn Syracuse for all future visits to the Syracuse area.

I did not have a lot of money to spend on a hotel, and I'm glad I picked this one. It was a nice hotel at a reasonable price, and I made a last minute reservation the night before our stay. It is very easy to access and easily viewed right as you're exiting the highway. I only stayed for one night, so I can't comment on service really, but the people at the front desk were very nice, and there were parties and a lot of people at the hotel and we still got in and out very quickly. Definitely not a bad place for a few nights, with a Dunkin' Donuts pretty much next door, and a McDonald's down the street. The pillows and beds were comfy, the room and bathroom were clean. My only complaint about the hotel was that the shower did not get very hot, but this has been my experience with a lot of hotels.

The lighting the in rooms were fairly low, but that helped to conceal some stains on the walls and carpets. The room was quiet, which was nice considering the proximity to the Thruway. The bed was really comfortable as well.

Nice overall. Pool is comfortable but small and bar is a little expensive. Restaurant decent. service people friendly and helpful. Only bad thing out of Coffee at continental breakfast.

This is a very comfortable hotel with a good continental breakfast. The bed was more comfortable than expected.
