In town for a convention that was right across the street, so that was wonderful. The pool water was colder than room temp, so it felt very refreshing. The swimming pool is on the 2nd floor, so the pool floor bangs and feels like it wobles when kids are jumping around. I called around 7:30PM for a couple extra pillows, but never got them. Not even a phone call telling me they were out. The resturant is over priced, so we ordered a pizza from a local place. That still cost us $50. And of cource the TV had some good channels, but seemed like there was nothing to watch. I don't think they had a PPV service either. At least I couldn't find how to get it. The room was very clean, the shower was huge, and had a seperate tub. OH... and stay out of the mini-fridge, one -- CAN -- of soda about $2.

The hotel was very convenient both to the Rosemont Theater and the Convention Center. With food and beverages available on site, a clean and attractive pool area, friendly staff, comfortable accommodations and warm and delicious chocolate chip cookies on your arrival, the Doubletree was a comfort. We will definitely be returning in October!

This was my first bad experience with a DoubleTree Hotel. Horrible front desk service. The "in & out" parking for $20 a day is seemingly convienient, but my card never scanned or validated...leaving me sitting at the gate waiting...and making me late on two occasions to meetings I had set up. The front desk informed me I would not pay anything for the parking due to the inconvienience...but upon checkout I was charged $80 (for two days!) I had to play phone tag for two days after my trip before the issue was resolved. Front desk staff is rude and extremely uninformed. My company will not be doing business with the DoubleTree/ Hilton group in the future.

While I understand that the Doubletree isn't a business traveler's hotel, I still think that charging guests for internet access is ridiculous. This is the kind of thing that should be included in the price of the room. To add insult to injury, the internet access was slow and spotty (not worth the 11.95) and I was charged twice. The double charge was cleared up quickly at check out but I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. If a hotel like the Hilton Gardens Inn can get this stuff right so easily and cheaply, then I'm at a loss as to why the Doubletree has such trouble. Again, the staff and service were great.

We have stayed at the Doubletree three times now, and although we like the comfort of the rooms, the front desk staff is always a bit harried. They seem a bit too busy, and there is always a line of people who seems upset. The cookies are great, but don't make up for the lack of professionalism! The restaurant is fine, but extremely overpriced, and there is nothing within a short walking distance. The steakhouse is fantastic, and worth every penny.

I stayed here for a weekend get away.Once again, i chose this hotel for it's location to the "EL" trains , and once again i was very pleased with the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel, though i found the prices in the Bistro for the buffet breakfast to be a bit pricey for what was served , but all and all , i'm planning to stay here again in August, and I have recommended the Double Tree to others.

THe pool was cold and the whirlpool was hot enough to boil a lobster. My boyfreinds legs were bright red in less than 5 minutes. They never unlocked the minibar, even after calling twice. Was cheaper to run out and get our own, but wanted to avaid the hassle.

The hotel check in associate that helped me was very helpful. Unfortunately the other associate that was helping the customer in front of me was very rude and seemed annoyed with the guest asking questions regarding the room they were staying in. When it was my turn to check in the assoicate that helped the guest in front of me was talking bad about the guest.. I just feel you need to be professional @ all times with guests.. and keep your comments to yourself. I advised the check in associate that our ice maker was not working on the 3rd floor and he stated that he would have someone fix it...NO ONE EVERY FIXED THE ICE MAKER ON THE 3rd floor..

The employees were rude. I booked the hotel because it was close to the airport and they had an indoor pool and jacuzzi. I asked for a room near the pool only to find out after I had got to my floor the pool was closed. Back to the counter, was told I should have checked the website, the pool has been closed for a week now. Got a new room because the smell was hurting my asthma. Before any of this happened, the valet was extremely rude to my mother who was upset and confused about parking. The attendant treated her as if she were yelling at him, but she was merely trying to figure out where to park the car.

Hotel was very clean and staff was very friendly. The night desk staff did not seem to friendly nor eager to offer much assistance when asked questions. Mostly just offered very short yes's or no's, which I found frustrating. Room service was very friendly, and food at BC's was well above average hotel food. The view of parking structure while not at all scenic offered me great people watching and the ability to check my vehicle from my room. Overall I will stay here again my next time through.

We chose the Doubletree hotel because it had a pool and a whirlpool. The pool was COLD and the whirlpool was hot enough to boil a lobster. The management did not unlock the fridge in the room even though I had a credit card on file and made several phone calls to the front desk. When I called the 3rd time, she said he had unlocked it and hung up before I even said anything...of coarse it was NOT unlocked. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean, but I could have stayed at the motel 6 for less and recieved the same level room.

Our window looked into a parking garage where anyone could look in so we had to keep window-covering drawn. A supplememtal heater had been used to make the room boiling hot. One of the bed lamps was burned out. There was coffee in the room, but no coffee brewer. My wife is allergic to smoke and our profile called for no smoking, but the room reeked of smoke. There was no ice-container; and, when we got a container from room service we found that the ice-makers were out-of-service on three of the hotel's floors. The hotel did agree to change our room to no-smoking.

Friendly staff, very clean room, the bed is probably the most comfortable we've ever slept in. Not a tourist resort, but close to the airport and trains. Room service is prompt and the food excellent and reasonable.

The hotel and room were extremely well maintained. Room was nice and were lucky enough to get a room with an great view of the fire works...(we checked in on New Years Eve). We had dinner in the hotel resturaunt, which was very accomidating to my 10 year old daugher in regards to the menue. The only complaint I have is that the pool was not working,and this was the reason we checked in to an hotel so my daughter could swim in the pool. The front desk staff told me that we could swim at the neighboring hotel, which was not an option since it was a cold Chicago wintery day of 17 degrees...Other wise this was a great hotel for a great price, I was very pleased.

the room was clean and nice, when i booked they said parking will free- not true they said there will be miniref and microwave- not true again lastly, when i was checking out, front desk told i'm all set but luckily i asked for a receipt. to my surprise, i was being charged additional $116.00 for the mini-bar/concession. i told them we did not get anything . they said it has a sensor that any movement, it will charge... how could you not open/take a peek inside drawers and cabinet doors in the room you're staying? we took a peek what is inside about3X (did not touch anything) but I was charged 17 times- the charges were as high as $14.50 ea! a rip-off ! it was easily settled on the front desk though but just reminding you to always ask for a receipt!

Hotel was great in all these areas: Location, Comfort, Cleanleness, and Price. However the staff was very poor, and the parking situation sucks! Everytime we had an issue or need some help from staff we were treated like we were a pain or a burden on them!

The whole experience was as expected for the hotel chain satisfactory. The lobby is lovely attended by helpful staff. The room was ample, very clean, comfortable with a variety of pillow types. The bed was comfortable not too hard. The only problem was the parking garage and the confusing signs and lay out to park close to the connecting entrance.

Overall, the hotel was nice. The lobby area and the hotel rooms were very clean and comfortable. However, there were a few things that allowed us to have a disruptive stay. The first thing was the shuttle service. We were told that the shuttle service to the airport was 24 hours and it is not. The second thing was that the pool and hot tub were closed during our stay, and the third thing was the fire alarm went off 2 times in the same day and we had to evacuate from the 8th floor down the stairs. The first alarm was at 1am and the second alarm was at 8am. Not fun!!! Both times there was no real emergency thank goodness but what an inconvenience. Oh and I forgot to mention that when you call the front desk for something, they never answer.

Great location, easy to get to and from airport. We had a problem with the hotel not having our original requested room when we arrived. They talked us into taking another type of room and gave us more cookies for the mix-up...don't think I'll let that happen again. The coffee pots (we had two rooms) in both rooms didn't work. Called twice, and had to wait over an hour for hosekeeping to bring two working coffee pots. I would stay again.

Easy check-in. Pleasant front desk and transport to airport (every half hour from 4AM till 1AM). Great room, comfortable bed and clean bathroom with big shower and separate tub. Coffee/tea in room. Slightly older hotel. Hall smelled of old smoke (from era prior to statewide ban of indoor smoking), not a problem when in the room.

Traveled to Chicago nice hotel 5 star hotel, clean very large bed that was very comfertable. Location was great quick to interstate 90 and 94 and also to the CTA rail to go down town Chicago and be ther in 20 minutes was great. I would stay there again Thank you.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Everything about this hotel was just simply wonderful. To me, it's a five stars hotel. BTW...the room service food is excellent as well.

We got a great rate on hotels.com. My son is on a college wrestling team and had a meet in Chicago. We ended up being only 4 miles away from the college. Doubletree was a great place to stay. All of the wrestlers were very impressed. The cookies were a great treat, too!!!

When first walking into the room, we could not believe the rate we paid for such an amazing room! The whole time we were looking around we kept saying, "are we sure this is the right room?" The view from the window was great. The bed was probably the most comfortable I've ever had in a hotel. Staff very accomidatins after having different toiletries taken in airport. Very curtious beyond all expectations. Favorite aspect of stay was the Neutrogena shampoo/conditioner/face wash in bathroom, as well as the delicious meals we consumed, just walking to the lobby. Only draw-back was paying $18 to park in garage. But for the price I paid for the room, I couldn't be upset.

I enjoyed the stay even though for one night. The room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was spacious, even in the shower was spacious. I did not like how there was a minifridge that you could only open by paying for an item inside. I had my own things to refrigerate but to no avail since I wasnt going to pay for things I had. Minor inconvenience with little impact on my stay. Overall it was a great experience. I will definitely stay here again.
