only the grand hyatt in chinatown is a better deal for the price. our only complaint was the double decker tour bus they recommended. you will have a better time on the air conditioned double decker tour bus. both pick you up at the wilbur hotel.

EXCELLENT HOTEL JUST ACROSS THE ROAD FROM TUBE STATION, FIRST CLASS SERVICE,STAFF VERY POLITE FREE INTERNET ACCESS . BEDDING AND FURNITURE STUNNING CANT BELIEVE ITS ONLY THREE STAR.

The hotel is in a great location; right across the street from a subway station. The room was large and clean. BUT there were a few problems. The toliet did not work and there was a musty smell in the halway. Overall I had a good stay and would reccomend this hotel if you ever come to DC.

The Hotel has some age but it is kept up well. The room was spacious and clean. I really liked that the hotel provides you with free WiFi, microwave and small fridge. When I am in town, I will stay here again.

We were very pleased with the location of the hotel, convenient walking distance to the attractions. The room was recently redecorated and spacious. We found the staff friendly and helpful. The concierge was the least helpful, in our opinion.

The staff was very nice - the subway was across the street and it was easy to get around - Nice hotel and well worth the price.

Valet parking was overpriced. Bar/lounge/restaurant was very nice & the pantry for all hours purchases. However, the pillows were uncomfortable, as was the bed. The hotel smelled of cleaning supplies.

The hotel is very nice, friendly and helpful staff; located directly across from the McPherson Square Metro Station; the room was a comfortable, nice size, and very clean

The hotel is as very nice and affordable. The room was clean, nice size, extremely comfortable. It is directly across from the McPherson Square Metro Station in downtown DC.

This hotel was close enough to walk to the mall (Smithsonian, etc.), but in 95-degree heat I wouldn't recommend it if you have cranky teenagers. Instead, take the Metro, which is across the street. I wish we had discovered that earlier! The rooms were large, clean, and I thought they were very luxurious for the money. The front desk staff were a little slow, but they weren't rude.

Great location across from McPherson metro station. Quiet rooms with blackout curtains. Fantastic restaurant in hotel (so so atmosphere, but wonderful "shrimp & grits" and "Maryland crab cakes!") with better prices and food than nearby restaurants we tried.

Hotel location was centrally located by some of DC sites and easy access to restaurants.

We saved a ton of money using the Metro instead of the cabs and having the Metro access right across the street was a HUGE plus!

Don't book through internet, hotel does not honor room terms listed on internet.

Great location, couldn't beat the price. Great room, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was nice, although not included.

only place to park if you drove there is the hotel valet, 30 dollars a day. this is steep considering other places charge 16 dollars. Plus the area you have to park your car for valet is very small and taken up by taxis, limos and or tour buses. So you will end up driving around the block over and over again until you can squeeze in. This was a huge hassle considering we drove 11 hrs to stay there. Other than that the hotel was awesome, we got an early check in and the staff was very nice and helpful. the hotel it self was very good and the rooms were cozy. The furniture in the lobby and bar was a little retro and should be replaced.

If you are looking to be right in the thick of things for a reasonable price, then the Hilton is the place to be. Very nice staff and the valet parking was a breeze ($30/day). We were able to walk anywhere and be there within 5-15 minutes. The only issue that I had was with the beds. Although the room was very much Hilton Quality, the beds were very hard and unforgiving. Two of the worst nights sleep I've ever had at a hotel. It may have just been my room so that is why the location is still getting my recommendation.

The lady working the night staff at the front desk was very rude and unhelpful. The attitude I received from her was out of completely out of line. When asking her if there were any late night eating places, in very few words, she basically said that if I was from out-of-town, I was pretty much out of luck. The night service was horrible and it was not something I expected from Hilton. Other than that, the day service and valet service was excellent.

This was an excellent value for Washington DC. Since it is not a cheap city to begin with, it was nice to see a great hotel for the money. I would stay again and have told others about it also. Great location, Metro right across the street, many things to see in the area, I was pleased!

We had a delightful stay in the Hilton Garden Inn. The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. This included all staff we encountered. The only minor concern was that of drunk, loud neighbors on weekend nights. However, we could have called the front desk to alleviate the problem ourselves. Overall...a terrific place to stay! We would definitely stay there again.

After reading the reviews for this hotel, I was a bit scared about what to expect. Upon arrival the staff was great, we were pleased with the parking(we were informed on the price before hand and knew what to expect, which was comparable with the other parking garages in the are and it also is a locked facility so safety was good.), and the room was clean and tidy. I could not have asked for a better stay or facility. We were in walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Very good stay.

Good: The price we paid was outstanding, front desk and concierge were helpful and friendly, room spacious and comfortable, great location (so close to metro and all the attractions) Bad: Price for valet is unreasonable. It would be cheaper and wiser to park in one of the garages close by. There's really nothing open late around the hotel, if you're looking for a late night drink or food. Suggestion: If you get a chance, go to Old Ebbitt Grill, which is only a few blocks away. Wonderful history and atmosphere, food is AWESOME and you can't beat the prices.

Hotel was a standard Hilton Garden Inn - but in a great location! 1 block from White House, 3 blocks from the Mall! Lots of shops and restaurants around and a Subway station directly across the road! Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was expensive ($30 per night) but it always is for city hotels.

We had a positive experience staying at this hotel. It is located directly in front of the MacPherson subway station--extremely conveienent. Just what you would expect from a Hilton Hotel.

We loved this hotel as the room was big, clean and the location was excellent, just 2 blocks from The White House. We would definately go back.

This hotel is a short walk to the White House and close to shopping. The room was larger than I expected but the bed was uncomfortable.

Location is excellent. Walking distance to the White House and the Mall. Parking fees are average for the city/location 30U$. Internet access is complimentary. When traveling with kids, has a couple of pluses such as microwave and a refrigerator.

restaurant pricey except appetizers during 5-7pm Gennaro + restaurant staff extremely nice + friendly food very ,very good.That was the best part!!! Also easy to get downtown ,direction-wise, dont like to valet the car but had to, no choice,$30+tax. asked for extra cream got none, had trouble with cofee maker got another immediately about 6am, still didnt care for the coffee (maxwell House)too much. The AC very noisy complained but sounded the same next night need ear plugs for that. Could not find a garden either. It was ver nice

We came to DC for the weekend to sightsee and simply hangout and we couldn't have been happier with our stay at the Hilton. It was blocks from the White House and many other attractions and was right in the heart of the downtown area. The valet parking was reasonably priced which was an added plus.

I have always found Hilton Garden's to be wonderful and this one exceeded my families expectations. It was clean, comfortable, great location, safe neighborhood with a restuarants close by, and a very friendly and helpful staff!

Great Hotel, very clean, staff was most helpful. Beds are comfortable, bathroom very clean. Waiters in Grill are very nice. Had a great stay!!

The location is always a must with hotels for me since I travel a lot. One thing I like to do on any trip is make sure my hotel is near my event, this was and It was in the middle of downtown DC within walking distance of the white house and the Washington monument. It was also down the street from a lineup of clubs and restaurants. Lastly I like my hotel to be clean and comfortable when I get back from my event or am tired from exploring the city and this easily did just that
