San Marco Palace - All Suites - Venecia

This hotel is well worth the money that we spent. We took our 2 girls, who are 18, on holiday with us and we had a quad suite. It was a nicely appointed room, great Air Conditioning, which we needed in Venice in June. The location couldn't have been better...just 75 yards from San Marco Square. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The breakfast that was included was much more than a continental breakfast. They served everything except eggs to order. The had WiFi available at no charge if you have your own computer....but also offer WiFi for a fee if you use their computer. We stayed 3 days and wished we could have stayed a week. The day we were leaving, we had a later flight to the airport and wanted a late check out. They were completely booked, so they didn't allow us to stay in our room, but they locked up our baggage so we could have lunch and not drag our bags with us. They also coordinated our water taxi back to the airport. This is a wonderful hotel and I would highly recommended it!

The hotel was superbly located,a very spacious suite that suited our family of 5 very well. Service at Reception,concierge,and Room service excellent and very responsive, we needed extra pillows, they arrived immediately, had a maintenance issue which was also sorted out speedily . The only minor issue was the bathroom which was a bit tired and the shower could have been better. Overall an excellent venue to stay for the family

We were traveling as a family of 5 with three teen/early 20's age children. We only had a couple of days in Venice and knew that our must sees were all in Saint Mark's square. Our suite accomodation and excellent location were perfect for us. Lying in bed, I had a great view of Saint Mark's Tower. While the price was a little steep, nothing in Venice is cheap and the location and quality of the hotel met all of our expectations.

OK this is my first review, so believe that I am going out of my way here so everyone can see what a great hotel this really is. The location is perfect, our room faced the bell tower. The location is steps from the piazza, this is good when you walked all day and need to get back to the room quickly. The down side is that the water taxi cannot reach the hotel, so you would need to dock the water taxi about 350 yards away and walk with all of your stuff to the hotel. Porters are available to assist you with your luggage. Also, eating dinner near or on the piazza is costly. The best bet is to walk down the very romantic streets to very quaint restaurants that are less costly and give you more food. Also, this hotel offers a continental breakfast that is more than continental. It is a slight step below a full breakfast.

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel with our 3 boys, in a 1-BR Suite. We had plenty of room, the hotel was very clean with helpful staff, and the location is great. Very close to San Marco Square, but on a quiet alley-canal. It's difficult to find at first, but another review on this website gave great directions; very helpful. Close to shops, restaurants, museums, water-taxis, water-busses, walking distance to Rialto bridge and most other sites of interest on Venice. We'd return anytime; highly recommended.

What a great way to stay as a large group (6people) in Venice. Hotel was right by San Marco Square, but off it enough to give some privacy. The staff was accommodating and nice. I have already told Friends to book there if they go.

Superb suite located just of Piazza San Marco (less than 1 minutes walk). The hotel is easy to find, the directions are very clear and accurate. The size and quality of the suite was very impressive far better than we expected for the price.
