I loved the all glass bathroom, other may want more privacy. I enjoyed the huge bar which is very crowded with beautiful people on the weekends, its almost like a night club but they have another quieter bar. Bellman/service very attentive. Very nicely equipped exercise room and a full service spa which looked nice but I didn't use it. Location is good just a block above the major shopping district of Oxford Street, the busy bars of Soho and 5 minutes walk to 2 Underground stations. Only a block or so away is Charlotte street with a number of nice trendy restauarants.

Great modern architecture including the rooms. Personally I really like the glassed in bath and the automatic red curtain. Great bars and beautiful people at them. Did not try the restaurant but a lovely space. Very nice fully equipped health club, as nice as any I've seen, plus the spa right there (didn't try).

Ultra modern and stylish, but by no means without charm. Our ordinary double room was on the street side but still quiet enough for a good sleep on the comfy bed. The glass/net curtain bathroom arrangement works surprisingly well, and gives an impression of space and light. The TV on a sliding base and turntable was superb. The lobby and lifts were bright and cheerful. We didn't eat in the hotel, but had a superb dinner in Fino in Rathbone place and a great breakfast in Lantana in Charlotte Place. After dinner we went to Ronnie Scotts (all within walking distance) and when we got back to the hotel the long bar was still in full swing, so we stayed there until it closed about 1.30, though the hotel purple bar was still going strong! A great night in town, and all a few yards away from Oxford Street!

The hotel itself is great, very chic and very cool. Great cocktails in the Purple Bar! My only complaint is that it is not easily walkable to the things we wanted to see on our trip so we spent extra money on taxis. Stay here for the scene, not the location.

very hip hotel with hip decor, sometimes at the expense of comfort and utility. lobby not a welcoming place to meet people because of "fabulous" seating arrangements - difficult to sit and face each other to talk - but cool to look at. the bar is welcoming place to meet though. room was stark but rather interesting for a few days. cleverly placed bed was uncomfortably hard platform bed with thin mattress, though the linens were fantastic. very tiny alarm clark too hard to use, but still clever. could use a proper bedside lamp. flowing sheer curtains kept getting pulled into the shower and getting all wet. great toiletries. good location. if you want hipness over comfort, this is the place. for similar money, the soho hotel is more comfortable and functional, though (and possibly the "in" hotel anyway!)

Just two blocks from Oxford Street, the hotel could not have been in a better location. It's a Philip Starck designed hotel, so all is a bit pretentious, but overall interesting and basically comfortable. Food & bar were lovely. Staff & concierge very helpful.

The Sanderson Hotel is a nice change from the typical Marriott and Hilton Hotels. The "Long Bar" in the hotel is very hip and attracts young professionals. Be brave and give it a go - you won't be disappointed.

The 5-star reputation of this Phillipe Starke designed hotel is well deserved. The restaurant is very good, and the private bar for guests only is a wonder (ask for a Bombay Cocktail), but there is no internet access except for weak wireless, and the rooms are very intimate - great for romantic rendezvous, not for children.

I organised a suprise stay for my wife over the valentines weekend, and we loved it. The rooms are fabulous - simple, clean and quite beautiful. Good amenities in the bathroom, great furniture and fittings and very quite. Very good service throughout, although the purple bar is not the exclusive scene it was in yesteryear - that is not always a bad thing! well poured and reasonably priced martinis left us happy at the end of the night, even though the 15% service charge is a little excessive. although the prices are a little on the steep side, it is definately worth it for a special treat
