BWH is a hotel near of everywhere, relax, and well served by public transports

Clean and tidy hotel but is somewhat dated as it reminded me of a hotel I stayed at in Yugoslavia in 1986. The rooms are clean, tidy and quite comfortable. We didn't eat there so cannot comment on the food. It's a good 20-25 min walk from the riverside but there are plenty of taxis and buses/trams available. Reasonably good value for money but if your looking for somewhere modern and tasteful then look elsewhere.

Service was excellent. Hotel organised a cab to drop us at the F1 race and pick us up with our luggage and take to the airport. Just perfect... And recommended a fantastic restrurant. Couldnt ask for anytihng more. well done

Older hotel but well run and everything was always on time and clean. It had a dreary look in a tough neigborhood but had a very reasonable price.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. Budapest is a beautiful city and there is a great deal to see and enjoy. The hotel is quite spartan and is full of tour groups. The major plus was that the rooms are quiet and you can get a good night's sleep.

For the right price this hotel is a good find. It's definitely not luxury (could do with a lick of paint) but transport from the hotel is fantastic. In fact Budapest may look big on a map but in reality its a small place - we walked to the river and back most days and nights. In a safe location too - very happy with the service there.

If you are looking for basic accomodations only 2 blocks from the main train station and a metro stop, this is a good place. The rooms are quite basic, but they are clean, and it's good value for money. There is no fitness center, just sauna, jacuzzi, steam and tanning bed, so don't plan on working out. No irons in the room, but there is an ironing room. Unfortunately, the ironing room is also used to do doctors exams some mornings, so we couldn't use it until 1 pm (a bit strange sounding, I know, but true). Even the staff felt funny telling us that when we couldn't get in. With all the rooms in the hotel, why would they use the ironing room to do doctor's exams? Anyway, I still recommend it, as long as you aren't expecting anything impressive.

This was a very nice hotel, very clean, modern, and a very freindly and helpful staff. The hotel is excellent however it is a bit of a hike to the downtown. Also, the area you have to walk through is not as nice as those closer to where most the activities are down near the river. We never felt unsafe but there are a lot of empty shops and stores covered with graffiti in the immediate area. The hotel is very convienent to the train station, well within walking distance unless you have a lot of luggage. There is also a public bus stop right in front and bus tickets can be purchased in the gift shop making the popular locations only a few minutes away. We would stay there again. The price was great and the hotel itself far exceeded our expectations when considering what we paid. The hotels.com price did not include breakfast which was an extra 10 Euro per day per person. You can probably eat for less at one of the resturants down the street (there are not many in the immediate area) but the hotel's buffet is pretty nice offering a variety of interesting things as well as traditional American and European fare.

Pros: Room was clean, decor was tasteful, good water pressure. Cons: Light switch was in the middle of the bottom of the headboard, so if you turn in your sleep light goes on and off. They don't provide any soap or shampoo, just a liquid soap dispenser on the wall of the shower like at a public bathroom, that you have to use as shampoo as well. Staff is COMPLETELY unknowledgeable about the area and its public transit options. You have to go to a separate room to do your ironing because they won't bring an iron to the room. Remote control is bolted down and towels are numbered, to make sure you feel like the hotel doesn't trust you. Neighborhood is sketchy.

Close to the train station. 1 3/4 mile to the Danube and the town center. Hop On Hop Off right in front of the hotel. Very satisfied.

Well placed hotel, bus outside hotel. 3 mins walk from Metro. Fridge in room, excellent for milk, yogurts etc. Brandy v expensive at Lobby, use off licence opposite, Staff have v good english and are very helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel. Local restaurant good.

first, the place has a nice restaurant. A couple of hotel staffworkers and restaurant waiters were moody. I would go there again though.

Step into the foyer and the hotel looks impressive, looks like a 4* hotel until you get into your room. The kettle in our room was dusty, the fridge did not work and the room had not been cleaned because there was litter under the bed from who stayed there previously. I was looking forward to staying in this 4* because it looks exceptional from the pictures. I personally would barely give it a 3* rating.

The Best Western is located just 2 blocks from the train and bus main station. It was very handy to have the trams right at the hotel door.

The hotel is within walking distance from the train station which make it very convient. The hotel is nice but some of the rooms that face the front are a little noisy.

Best Western Hotel Hungaria is conveniently located close to the Keleti Train Station. Room was was clean. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I was very happy with my stay at this hotel.

Not incredibly close to historical sights, but within a 25 minute walk of most things.

Comfortable hotel, and service ok except for the constant housekeeping visits to my room even with the 'Do not Disturb' sign on the door. Had a single room and it certainly was a single, very small room! Location could be better, area a little dissapointing, there was a lot of traffic & siren noise 24 7. Would recommend for you singles & party goers.

The hotel is located very close to train station on the Pest side. Also very close to a Metro stop for ease of traveling around the city. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are a little dark, but clean and comfortable. The hotel caters to tour companies, so groups are in and out all day. Not much in the immediate neighborhood, so you will be using the Metro or taxis ofter.

I found the hotel to be fairly nice and very convienently located to the metro and train station. On the other hand, the hotel personnel were not all that helpful and some were quite rude for just asking a question. Next time, I will try to find another hotel in that same area.

This hotel was an excellent choice for a stay in Budapest, which by the way competes very well for overall beauty and architectural interest.

Room was good and clean, no frills. Lobby was very well done, staff speaks good English. Located right near the main train station and a decent walk or quick tram ride to the main sites.

This is a large,but remodeled, older hotel in very good condition. Rooms are small, but with high ceilings, firm beds, safe, minibar, and adequate bathrooms. The location, on a major street, is very near the metro and Keleti Rail station (which is why I chose it). The breakfast buffet room is huge, and the choice is outstanding.

Det eneste minuset med hotellet var kanskje at det lå et stykke unna sentrum, men ikke verre enn at du kunne gå dit på 15/20 min. Dessuten gikk det busser og taxi rett fra hotellet, og dette var veldig billig!

Jag och min pojkvän åkte på en kortare semester och hade i stort sätt inga förväntningar på hotellet mer än att det skulle vara rent och lugnt, vilket Best Western också var. Personalen var trevlig och det finns i bara några få saker att påpeka. Det konstigaste och det som störde mest var att en lampknapp som var kopplad till ett surrande lysrör satt mitt på sänggaveln. Flera gånger per natt råkade man komma åt knappen vilket medförde att rummet lystes upp och att det surrade och brummade riktigt högt. Tror att hotellet kunde anses som riktigt fräscht på 80-talet idag skulle det behöva en övergripande renovering. Men för de pengarna och det hyffsat centrala läget kan jag verkligen rekommendera hotellet.

Mycket bra service med trevlig personal och suverän mat i restaurangen (bortse inte en middag här). Egen taxi med ärliga priser. Bra läge med mycket billigare omgivning än mitt i centrum, men ändå bara några minuter bort med Metro. Trygg gångväg till stationen. Många tjutande polisbilar/ambulanser på den närliggande gatan, kan vara tänkvärt för den som vill ha absolut tyst omgivning på nätterna.

Hotellet i sig var det inget fel på utan det var personalen som inte var så aktiva i att hjälpa till vid förfrågningar om stadens utbud.

Hotellet låg nära Keleti-stationen, centralt och bra. God service när det gällde små inköp, allt från växling av valuta till inköp av souvenirer. Mycket stor sal för frukost och rätt rikligt urval. Väl isolerade rum, det hördes ingen-ting vare sig från grannar eller nerifrån receptionen. Det fanns möjlighet till Internet, men tyvärr bara två stationer så det kunde ibland bli en liten kö.

Hotellet var helt ok, ikke noe fancy, men med safe på rommet, AC ok dusj osv! Temmelig fornøyd med hotellet i forhold til pris.

Ved første augekast, det vil seie ved inngangen, ser dette ut som eit luksuriøst hotell. Det samme gjeld resepsjonsområde. Rommet derimot, er meir som eit standard hotell. Men for all del, ein har det ein treng og litt til (pengeskap, hårfønar++). Dei som jobbar der er hjelpsame. Ca. 3 min. gange til t-bane (eller buss), derfra ca. 5 min. til dei typiske turistområda.

Vi var 14 st i sällskap som checkade in den 15 maj och ut den 18 maj. Kvaliteten på hotellet var alldeles utmärkt MEN min rumskamrat åt frukost 1 gång på hotellet (vilket var, enligt honom, av medelklass) han blev tillfrågad vilket rum han bodde på och hur många personer på rummet. Vilket resulterade i att han svarade 2 pers på rummet och vi blev sedermera debiterade 2 frukostar, trots att han var den ende som åt och detta bara en gång! Annars var allting tillfredställande!

Rengøringen på værelset var ikke helt tilfredsstillende, der var støv og uvaskede glas.

Bien situé (à côté de la gare et pas très loin du centre), très gros hôtel où on se sent bien. Seul bémol : le mobilier des chambres est "vieillot".

Greit nok hotell, nært metro og stort kjøpesenter, heller ikke så fryktelig lang å gå fra Oktogon, men ville heller bodd der. Det er IKKE et 4stjerners hotell, men funker ok. Dyr frokost, så dyr at vi ikke prøvde den.

Hotellet bærer preg av at det er noen år, men helt ok standard. Hyggelig personale som oppgraderte til suite uten ekstra kostnader! Badet var flott, det samme var utsikten. Buss nr 7 rett utenfor fire stoppesteder til sentrum. Rimelig pris.

Idéal pour visiter Budapest. Par transport en commun, 10 mn à 20 mn des principaux sites touristiques.Très facile à trouver, le Hungaria est situé à 200m de la gare Kelety. Il est desservi par le métro, le bus. Très bonne qualité de confort. Breakfast somptueux à volonté.

Allt var bra, lite trångt på frukosten. Trevlig reception.

The hotel was all good except for one BIG thing. There was no fresh air in the room, so we had to sleep with the window open, which heade to the HEAVILY trafficed main-road. If EVER staying there again I will DEMAND a room with windows facing a quiet side of the hotel. It was aproximately 2km walking to the shopping streets but on the other hand, very close to the rail-way station and metro.

Gute zentrale Lage Dauer zum Zentrum Fussweg 20min, Bushaltestelle vorm Hotel 3-4 Stationen 5min, Metrostation 2 min entfernt ebenfalls 3 Stationen. Schöne Zimmer, sehr bequeme Betten, internationales TV, gutes Früstücksbuffet, viel gemischtes Publikum. Kurz: Eine super Basis für einen Kurztrip in diese wunderschöne Metropole...jederzeit wieder!!!
