Park Inn Cardiff City Centre - Cardiff

This hotel was good value for money. Location was a short walk from Cardiff Central station, or Queen's Street. Close to resturants in the Brewery district, and very short walk to Cardiff Castle and city shops. Outside of hotel slightly let it down, but the reception and rooms were fantastic. Best beds I've ever had in a hotel. Would recommend as a great base for exploring Cardiff and surrounding areas

Close to shopping and restaurant areas. Lots of building work around it at present but will be an excellent spot when complete. Will definitely use again. Is very close to UWIC accommodation Ty Pont Hearn which suited us for seeing our son.

I went to Cardiff to see the Wales v Russia game, and it was really hard to find a hotel room there, but the one I found in Park Inn Cardiff City Centre was definitely worth the money paid. Not only it was very nice and spacious, it was also very clean and convenient. The only thing that was lacking was air conditioning, but in Wales this may only be a problem in the summer. The bar at the reception is also really nice. I would certainly recommend it

I had an interior room which over looked the covered courtyard that serves as the reception. The room was clean, of good quality, and with excellent facilities for the price. A minor point, but the hotel was hotter than I'd have liked. It was fairly cool outside, but the room was too warm for my liking and I had to turn the air conditioning on.

We were in Cardiff for U2 gig at Millennium Stadium which was a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Cardiff centre shops and bars are within 10 minute walk . I found the room facilities were good, the bed comfy and the blackout curtains did a good job. Any hotel staff we came across were very pleasant. I would definitely go back to this hotel.

made our first visit to cardiff enjoyable creating the perfect base for us to enjoy our weekend within easy walking distance from the train station and similar to the local nightlife and shops , foodwise we only had breakfast in the hotel. the choice and quality was superb, the room was clean and tidy a good size with plenty of storage space incl iron, hairdryer etc ,no complaints if was visiting cardiff again would look up the hotel again.

Hotel was pretty central however we arrived late an were told that the only parking available was an NCP car park situated over the road which we had to pay for ourselves. Only other downside was that room service ended at 10pm and we didn't arrive till just after that following a 6 hour drive. Room was clean however and very comfortable however there was some noise from a nearby railway and some roadworks.

We arrived at 1.50pm and were told our room wasnt ready as they needed to split the beds froma double to twin beds, we watched approx 10 couples check in whilst we waited and had two drinks from the bar. We went up to reception twice to check if our room was ready yet but it still took 45 mins before we could get in. This was very frustrating after a 4 hour drive. We were not informed that road works were takingplace around the hotel. The main road outside was being dug up, the side road was dug up, vehicles everywhere. We thought that maybe being the weekend they wont be working but both sat and sun from 7am! they were digging. Very noisy and not waht you need. This work looks like it will be going on for a while. Breakfast was good though and hotel is a good central location.

Would definitely go back again some time. Lovely hotel and really central.

Over all hotel was very good, however even though it was a very mild July weekend the room was like a sauna, could only open thw window 2", no air circulation, however they did have a large fan already placed in the room, TRUST ME YOU WILL NEED IT, but everywhere else in the hotel is air conditioned. Hotel very close to shops and all you'd want to see.

We were in Cardiff for two nights for our son's graduation and this was our first stay at Park Inn as we have previously booked elsewhere. The location is excellent if you accept that like a lot of Cardiff at the moment you are going to be next or close to a major building site. The reception is bright and airy and whilst the rooms are not huge they are perfectly acceptable and clean. Our only real complaint was the lack of controllable air conditioning as we found the rooms hot and the windows only functioned on tilt. We only ate breakfast in the restaurant - again not special but perfectly good. Generally the staff were helpful and polite. The big plus is having the underground car park - it may be £8.60 a day but given the location I was happy to pay that. In short, the hotel is short in character but good in all other aspects and having a huge cinema next door helped to alleviate the limited number of tv channels.

It's near the train station and not far from the main attractions in the Cardiff city and also the Cardiff bay. Although there are some construction work surround the hotel, the hotel itself is clean, nice and comfortable.

The hotel is central, clean with very good service and good value for money; i would recommend it and will stay there again.

Although a bit far from the city center action, the hotel is very near the train station. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff members were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is in a great location. It's within walking distance of Cardiff Central Station, the shops, bars and Millenium Stadium. It is also ideal for events at Cardiff International Arena. I would definitely stay here again.

Large reception had a cold feeling, Dining room had a modern layout but lighting not great. Bedroom on first floor which was oddly the 2nd floor as the Hotel has a " 0 " prefix floor. Room 101 faces reception vaulted area which being lit all night was confusing as to state of night / day. Breakfast charged at £10 was a disappointment, usual fare but only a very tired bowl of scrambled eggs, no fried eggs or more important offer of poached eggs. The Hotel provides the basics, a Bed and a Bath, it was generally clean but I wouldn't rush back.

We travelled from somerset and when arriving found the car park full, I was then directed to an NCP car park which turned out to cost an extra £12.70! So park is NOT FREE. We then got to the desk and found that after booking a double room through the internet, the desk told us they only have a twin room!! In our room there were 'pubic hair' around the bath, the shower was freezing, the heater didn't work properly so the room was freezing and all of the plugs in the room were so low on the desk that we couldn't plug anything in such as hair straightners, dryer, phone charger etc etc! Also the room was very dingy and my girlfriend struggled to put her make up on. All in all a rubbish room and I will not be returning and I will be advising friends and family not to go there either! I suggest 'the big sleep' accross the road, much cleaner and nicer rooms and free parking!

I was very pleased with this hotel. It was clean and the staff was very helpful. I would stay here again if my travels take me to Cardiff.

I've stayed here many times before, when the hotel was called the Jury's. The Park Group have entirely refurbished the hotel, turning it 'fun and funky' (their words, as I recall), and I don't like it. It's now too minimalist, and I'd never invite anyone for dinner in the dining room as it's now more like a fast-breakfast diner in there. Even the bar, which had a definite ambience before, is now completely anonymous and functional. The wondrous atrium has been completely whitewashed, spoiling its impact completely. One more thing - car parking costs £8.50 per 24 hours, something you ought to bear in mind if your stay is a long one.

great quality and comfort opposite the cardiff indoor arena,easy check in,perfect and only five min walk from the train station and two mins from city centre.

fantastic location for shopping, sightseeing, Millenium stadium and right next door to Cardiff arena. Staff were all efficient and polite, room very clean and comfortable- ideal for a short stay. Lots of building work around the hotel, but this didn't disturb us.

The hotel is a little bit wornout if u may say, but in good condition, the location is superb and the overal value you get for u money is great, the only negative point is that infront a big construction is taking place and is quite loud and they wake you up early (8 am).

Hotel was charmless but fine. Room was clean and comfortable. They put me on the side of the hotel next to a building site and a very busy road which woke me up at 5am. The noise in my room was pretty deafening even for me and I'm normally used to sleeping through the noise of central London!

enjoyed our stay, this hotel directly opposite the CIA arena where we were going to a concert so brilliant for that purpose, in the middle of some refurbishment and upgrade so in the near future should be really good place to stay. Around the immediate area St Davids 2 shopping complex being built so a bit of a building site in the vicinity but don't let that put you off, when thats completed will be the place to stay, Cardiff a great city and highly recommend the Cardiff Bay area fantastic.

stayed one night in this hotel, the noiseiest ever experienced in a hotel. The fire door outside our room (93) closed with a crash every time anybody passed through, and it sounded as though somebody was moving furniture about in the room above till after 2am. Considerd ringing reception but tired and just could'nt be bothered to move rooms in the small hours of the night.

My experience was neutral. Hotel in itself was good. However, the front desk staff might need more training to "smile". Food left a lot to be desired. As it was for a night only I did not mind much. I will probably go back to stay but make my own arrangements for dinner!

This hotel is in a good location for Cardiff City Centre and the Millennium Stadium but a little too far away from the Cardiff Bay area. The hotel foyer was very impressive but we were a little disappointed with the bedroom. It was a bit tired and in need of some updating. We also felt that the breakfast was over-priced. In all we felt that we didn't actually get value for money but it served our purpose and was in a great location for getting to the Millennium Stadium.

Hotel is being re-furbished. We had a disabled room with twin beds.Not a huge amount of room with a wheelchair but the beds were soooo comfortable I wanted to buy one. Bath room had flat floor shower with adjustable shower head and adjustable seat. A bit of a tight fit for the chair but my daughter can walk short distances so she left the chair in the bedroom for ease of movement. Staff very helpful. Pleasant place to stay. Would use again quite happily.

when we came the room is not clean. we booked that one week before. no a/c. I guess that is standard in UK.but they gave us a complimentary drink.

Parking was a big disappointment. The lot is usually full every day, which means you will need to park at a nearby public lot. You can get your parking ticket validated but no one will tell you unless you ask. The parking garage also needs a code which is changed daily, no one will tell you that either. The parking is important since the formal entrance is not intended for parking out front to load/unload your baggage. I was traveliong with a business companion. He was surprised after checking in to see that his room was not made up. The dining room is over priced and the food quality is poor. The water pressure and temperature in the shower was excellent and probably the best of any hoptel I have ever visited.

Friendly staff, no major issue just in need of some minor DIY e.g. broken TV remote control, broken cupboards door.

Helt okey hotel standard klass inge lyx men rummet var trevligt. Dock så luktade det ganska mycket rök i korridoren och på rummet men jag sov med öppetfönster då vart det bättre, men det borde inte behöva lukta rök på ett rökfritt rum.

Besviken över ingen städning på rummet. Det var brist på personal påstod dom. Vi hade ju betalt för det. Kommer inte att bo där en annan gång. Tycker att man borde bli kompenserad då åtminstonde. Mvh Camilla
