Pier 5 Hotel - Baltimore

the hotel was beautiful, the room was very nice and extremely comfortable. I was upset that every thing on the TV you had to pay for, except for some informational commercials about going green. I didn't expect free movies but the news channel could have been provided free, I would have to been able to get the weather and local news. also when I checked out I was given a bill for $9.95 this was explained to me that I was being charged for 2 16oz bottles of poland spring water and for internet connection, I never used the internet but was still required to pay this fee. I moved away from the checkout counter and a couple came up to the counter and asked the same question about the $9.95 fee and the hotel employee told them they would give them voucher for the breakfast buffet. this was not offered to me. The hotel was beautiful and the breakfast was very good, but I don't think I will stay there when I return.

This was a great hotel, we really enjoyed our stay! I would suggest to anyone staying here that you skip the valet and park your car yourself at any of the numerous garages within walking distance of the area. Most of the garages are $20 or less a day, while the valet charges you $29 plus tax and the hotel tacks on another $9.95 "convenience fee." Plus they only have one valet working at a time. We called down 20 minutes ahead as suggested and still had to wait another 10 minutes for our car. -- But other than this we had a great time and will definately stay here again!

Driving down from the northeast, I called ahead to see if I could get into my room early. Although the staff member that took my call couldn't guarantee it, there was no problem upon arrival, and I was in my room before noon. The room was quite spacious, with a nice balcony overlooking the harbor. The bed was very comfortable, and I enjoyed the goodie bag that came with the room. Enjoyed a very nice lunch at the seafood restaurant in the hotel, which also overlooks the harbor. I didn't get a chance to enjoy the crabby hour, but did see the set up as I was leaving for an appointment. Loved the location! Early the following morning I walked completely around the inner harbor, and never had to cross a street to do that. This would be great place for a weekend visit, as all the attractions are within easy walking distance.

the only complaint i have was parking i had to pay $22.00 dollars to park at a place i was staying at that should be free for the amount u paying for the room

Great location, but suite was unusual, with 2 TVs afew feet apart back to back. Breakfast buffet was weak, running out of coffee, poor layout causing bottlenecks, and very high prices for the two meals I had to pay for above my two free ones.

This hotel was great, especially for the rate. It is right on the Inner Harbor close to everything. The staff was above and beyond helpful!

nothing worked properly in the room (including the safe and AC) - maids came in the room at 8:15 while we were in the room without notice and the 2 rooms we rented smelled musty/moldy. hotel charges a resort fee for several services that no one uses or recieves.

Nice, easy access to all harbor attractions. Great night view. Only complaint was hidden daily fee for "free water" and obscure amenities we never used.

very impressed with your location and insides. your desk clerk, Derrick was outstanding when we checked in. Hang on this this employee. Best ever. You should put a small table in the rooms next to the chair and floor lamp. A continental breakfast would be super too.

Upon arrival there was only one person at the reception desk and he was VERY SLOW and did not acknowledge the line forming nor did he call for help. The hotel states it is within walking distance to Camden Yards but it is quite a hike. Overall not bad for the price but will look to stay elsewhere in the future just to compare.

This is the best location for a hotel...convenient to restaurants, water taxi and the views were great.

The hotel had a great location. You just walk over a bridge and there was the Aquarium, several restaurants and shops. The neighborhood felt safe and the view of the harbor was amazing. Our room overlooked the harbor, sort of. We looked out our windows and got to see the air conditioning units for the hotel, not so lovely. We were able to check in early though. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

We were very pleased with the hotel and disappointed that we couldn't take advantage of our 2 night stay due to our plane flight being cancelled the previous day. We called hotels.com to let them know we would not be able to make our friday night reservation and they contacted the hotel who refunded our room for that night even though their hotel polciy had a 24 hr cancellation policy. this was an added surprise. We finally made it to the hotel later the following evening and were very pleased with our room- very roomy and comfortable. There were several resaurants within walking distance still open for dinner (at 11 pm ) which was great. Had room service for breakfast because we woke up late (very comfy beds)and they still let us order and brought it to us even though it was after their operating hours- very nice. The hotel lobby is a very happening place- lots going on and open to the upstairs rooms so if you're looking for complete peace and quiet it may be a little loud for you-it didn't bother us. Great location and proximity to the inner harbor- a very fun place to be on Sundays- lots going on and GREAT FOOD to choose from . The hotel itself has 2 restaurants. The Aquarium right next door was great. Would definely go back!

The room was pleasant and well designed, with adequate bathroom and supplies. I was somewhat put off by the daily $9.95 (or $10.95 - can't recall which) charge they intended to add to my bill for "accessibility" or some such thing - internet hookup, and various stuff for which I had no need. This was slipped in quickly as I registered late at night, but when I realized what it was and spoke with the desk clerk next day, he agreed to not include it. I still don't know whether it was included in the "hotels.com" booking which listed "fees and tax" without further itemization. More transparent calculations would seem more honest. Room was quiet and appropriate, comfortable and clean, so, with advantage of special pricing, I was happy to have booked with Pier 5.

we were looking for an affordable intimate hotel and this was it... great restaurant located within hotel... we had no reason to leave.

We loved this Hotel, great location, clean and staff very friendly and helpful. They even let my dog come for no extra charge! we would go back in a heartbeat, infact next year we are..

The service was amazing, great staff. THe maids came and knocked on your door promptly at 8:30am and came back every hour until you left the room. The rooms were good, but some of the walls were sloppy and the bed skirt had a couple of stains. The location and in-house activities were alot of fun! I would go back again.

The Pier 5 Hotel is excellent for a quite romantic weekend. Once you check in, you have Ruth Chris or McCormick and Schmick's right off the hotel lobby. Within walking distance is the entire Baltimore waterfront district with nightclubs for just about everyone. The only downside was parking. While parking is available next to the hotel, the cost is $22.00 per pay and if you use valet parking, it $29.00 per day. You would think for the price they charge per night for a room, parking would be included.

we checked in, and proceeded to go to our room where there was already people staying in. once back at the front desk the attendent informed us taht the whole hotel is booked. they had no room for us to stay in. they sent us to brookshire suites with no compensation. the hotels are not comperable at all. i was completely dissatisfied overall.

the only negative comment i have is that thr room service breakfast waas not very good at all. other than that our stay was excellent and i would recommend it to everyone staying in the area.

good price and great location. very clean, funky interiors, quiet, and attached to some wonderful restaurants.

We (my husband and i) drove down form NYC for some escape time form our kids..WOW.. we were impressed with the decor of the hotel. It reminded us of a upscale SOHO type hotel in NYC.. Pier 5 will be our "getaway" spot!

The room was very comfortable and clean. The biggest complaint would be that the shower water barely got above luke warm and the walls were terribly thin. There is no DVD player in the room and the breakfast offerings are minimall. Oh, and beware. Parking is expensive. Great location though.

I took my wife to the hotel for her birthday. It was beautiful, quiet, and nicely appointed. She enjoyed her time there. I got tremendous kudos. It was a little more expensive than what we usually go for, but it was worth every cent. I am looking forward to the next time.

Very convienent to all inner harbor attractions walking distance to Camden yards. Nice little spot. Great happy hour menu at McCormich & Schmicks which is in the hotel, outside tables with a fabulous view of the harbor. Would stay there again!

Price is not cheep, but for the location and the attached rest's. it's worth it for that special get-away.

There is no hotel parking at Pier 5. There is a parking garage very close to the hotel, but it is $20 per day. I was very disappointed. There were no bell hops to take baggage. If there was valet parking, I never saw anyone at the front door. The stairs were closed for painting/construction. I would recommend staying somewhere else while in Baltimore.

If you are looking for a non-Chain hotel, this hotel is it. The ammenities were worth it, and the staff was great. Don't be surprised by the $9.95 "hotel fee" that we were. Seemed excessive for what amounted to two bottles of water and a continental breakfast that was bad coffee and orange juice it took 20 minutes to pour, but everything else was great! Beware also that it took like 4 hours to valet park our car. We got there, went to lunch, had the chocolate fountain, took a nap, woke up and our car was still in front of the hotel.

Great hotel and the staff was really helpful. They made you feel like you were (taken care of) the free shuttle they offer to sister properties like admiral in was awesome because it was a free ride over to fells point which is an awesome part of town. The water taxi charges 9.per per and the shuttle is free. There was a mix up with the shuttle when i was there and we didnt even complain about it and the manager came right up and offered us 50.00 credits for us and the couple that stayed with us. They so didnt have to do that but it really made us feel like they cared about the quality of our stay. The hotel is right in the middle of everthing and defnitely worth the money. My family and the other couple we stayed with all loved it.

My husband and I had a nice experience with Peir5 - Inner Harbor. Rooms nice and comfortable and clean. Front desk manager was so accommodating and delightful. The only think that we didn't like was their fees charged for some of their services. An automatic charge for a "destination fee", $9.95(for internent access;bottled water, and another item) is added to your bill per night, which we didn't need or use. Additionally, the valet parking is not worth it. It's $31 per night and if you don't plan to use your car; park in their garage which is only half the cost.

This hotel was very nice, and clean. Big deal to me. The Crabby Hour was fun and we enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. Everyone at the hotel was super accommodating, with everything from the time we drove up until we departed.
