It is on the outer loop of Beaune, but in a great location within walking distance to the center of town. The room was spacious compaired to Paris and a good value by US standards. The restaurant was high end priced, but pleanty of other choices close by.

Pleasant stay, staff efficient and helpful. Would probably use again, although Beaune itself was rather too touristic and expensive place to eat.

An attractive looking traditional styled hotel with friendly,helpful staff.Rooms are comfortable,if a bit on the small side.The restaurant was fully booked for dinner but not a problem as there are lots of nearby restaurants.Car park is very small.Breakfast was poor value for money.

We had a great experience at the Hotel de la Poste. Everyone, from the front desk personnel to the bar tender, were extremely friendly, helpful, and eager to please. The room was clean, comfortable and well-attended, if not very spacious. The location was great: a short walking distance to the town center, and easy access to the road without having to navigate the narrow streets in the downtown area. There was a slight amount of road noise, with the hotel being so close to the main road. But, at night time, the traffic died down and we weren't inconvenienced by it. The overall atmosphere is as charming as the town of Beaune itself. We had a wonderful time.

We had booked the Hotel de la Poste as the highlight of our holiday and we were not disappointed - it was exceptional. We had booked a superior room which was spacious, clean and comfortable, although not directly accessible from within the hotel - a walk of about 30 yards - and the glorious weather we enjoyed made this more pleasure than problem! The hotel is just outside the old city wall so a 5 minute walk takes you right into the centre. The staff were excellent - I tipped the bellboy on arrival only to be embarrassed later to discover he was in fact the sommelier, so everyone mucks in! We ate in the hotel on our first evening in Beaune and the meal was so good that we returned to the hotel restaurant for a more expensive farewell meal on our last night. The food was delicious - and the sommelier certainly knew his stuff. The little courtyard to the rear is ideal for a quiet lunchtime drink. Some examples of quality service - one afternoon when the bar was closed we asked reception for an ice bucket; it arrived at our room within 5 minutes. When we asked about trains to Dijon the receptionist went on-line and printed off timetables for us. While we have often been happy with our hotel it is rare for us to want to go back to the same hotel - but not in this case; the Hotel de la Poste will see us again!

All the staff we met were extremely helpful and made our stay in this hotel relaxed and enjoyable.

for a quick stop in Beaune, this hotel will do. A quick walk to the center, but conveniently located on the outskirt road. Of course the picture of the suites on their website do not reflect at all the overall design of the regular room, which is just plain. PS:We could not eat at any of the restaurant we had been recommended one evening and just went to the Brasserie de La Concorde which is disgusting. The place should be closed by the city of Beaune for being so disgusting.

We stayed on a Monday and the restaurant was closed. There are other places to eat in Beaune but for a hotel of this size we were rather surprised!

The hotel de la poste was excellent! i stayed there before 10 years ago and upon my return, things haven't changed a bit (and that's a good thing). my only negative was with hotels.com as i brought along my daughter, which made the occupancy 3 people instead of 2. french hotels charge for the extra bed and hotels.com did not alert me to this upon the automated booking screen. this was my 1st and last time for using hotels.com. i recommend that people just pickup the phone and contat the hotel directly in the future for the amount of inconvenience and misunderstanding it has caused.

We booked the hotel as an overnight stop on the way to Switzerland, and were travelling with our 4 yr old son. The hotel is in a lovely old building and our room was very spacious with a separate sitting room area where our son had his bed. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly and our son had been given a Hotel de la Poste Teddy Bear on his bed which he was thrilled about. The restaurant was excellent and service again good - although they did not have a children's menu - the food was amazing. We would definitely return. Although we hadn't realised we needed to book a parking space, the staff were very accomodating and allowed us to squeeze the car in behind the security gate.

The hotel is in a great location just outside of the walled city of Beaune. We felt that the breakfast was priced too high, so we went elsewhere.

hotel avec un personnel prévenant, chambre classique un peu petite mais très fonctionnelle et confortable. je ne manquerai pas d'y retourner à l'occasion. Petit dej très agréable

Trés bon séjour dans cet hotel. Personnel trés serviable, chambre correct, trés propre....Aucune fausse note. Nous sommes arrivés après l'heure du déjeuner mais on nous a proposé un petit déj. au bistrot de l'hôtel trés sympa, et on nous a même fait moitié prix....Pas d'arnaque. TB à recommander....Et en plus trés bien situé pour visiter la ville à pied !!

Ouderwets hotel met comfortabele voorzieningen. Ligt aan een druk kruispunt waardoor de ramen (dubbel glas) dicht moeten in de ochtend. Sanitair is prima, kamer is ruim en bedden zijn goed. Vriendelijk personeel en hotel maakt een verzorgde indruk. Koffie bij het ontbijtbuffet is niet te drinken, maar verder redelijk vezorgd.

L'hôtel est très bien situé. La chambre était spacieuse, avec très belle salle de bain.

Zeer luxe en comfortabele tussenstop. Dichtbij snelweg en centrum, maar alle rust te vinden in grote superior kamer met uitzicht op binnentuin en erg groot bed. Ontbijt geweldig.

Très bel hotel à la décoration charmante, bien situé dans Beaune, le centre est à une agréable et courte ballade de distance, facile d'accès, la proximité du boulevard n'a pas de conséquence sur le bruit, l'hotel étant très bien isolé.Petit bémol :le personnel en fait trop, beaucoup trop c'est même parfois à la limite du ridicule!

Ausgezeichneter Service, liebevolles Ambiente, sehr kleines Zimmer (Standard).

Je ne suis pas un client facile, et j'aime les hôtels, les beaux et les agréables. Celui ci est un vrai 4 étoiles, pas luxe mais bien, les chambres (junior suite) sont bien composées et en parfait état. L'acceuil est très professionnel et chaleureux à la fois. Le service excellent.
