Close to colosseum. Clean and well maintained. Might be more convenient if we stayed closer to the center of Rome i.e. near the pantheon or trevi fountain. Good breakfast!

We stayed at the Capo D'Africa for the first 3 days of our Honeymoon in July 2009. We were very impressed with the hotel. It was clean, in a very convenient location, and the staff were always totally helpful. The breakfast room's balcony has a view of the Colloseum! We would definitely recommend this hotel to others. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed here for 3 night in Rome. The service was attentive, the rooms were clean, and we found the location to be quite convenient. It's close to all of Ancient Rome, and we were happy to note that the hotel is also located very close to a gay neighborhood in Rome. Truly ideal for going out at night and enjoying the Roman bar scene.

Great hotel located 10 minutes from the metro and 5 minutes from the Colosseum. Considering that most of the hotels in Italy are old compared to hotels in the U.S., this was a very nice, modern looking hotel with an excellent, friendly staff. The free breakfast was served until 11 p.m. and was enough to get you started for the day. And since the hotel was close to the metro it was great for getting around to see the city. There are also several bars and restaurants located 1 to 3 blocks from the hotel. The rooms are distinguised between smoking and non-smoking (not every hotel we stayed in was like this). Overall it was a great experience and I would go back and recommend this hotel.

sobre value="10""Great hotel with a couple of issues"
Comentado por Gerry, deChicago, el feb 25, 2009
The Hotel was very nice and modern. The beds were extremly comfortable. It was very quiet until the breakfast buffet began, at whick time I thought the Riverdance troup was practicing above our room. We chose not to move rooms because we were getting up early every day to see the sights, but I would recommend getting a room far from the area under the 4th floor where the buffet is served. The front desk provided us with recommendations to great restaurants. The only other issue was the shower. It is in a bath tub and there is a mat to stand on, but it often felt like riding a surf board, and it required great skill to avoid a wipeout (something my wife was unable to do, and it's not like she is a senior or something). Even with the 2 negatives mentioned in this review, it is a very good hotel which I would recommend to everyone.

Nice modern hotel, good location, within a short walk of app 15 mins into the main centre of Rome and situated next to the Coliseum. Room was lovely, comfortable, good facilities with a bath robe and slippers for extra comfort, wifi also available, gym on site. The only down side was the lack of a use of iron and ironing board, not provided and not available for use, any such requirements must be charged for, which isn't great.

a quiet location, steps away from the coliseum and its beautiful surroundings. convenient to the subway and cool traditional osterias and wine bars, with a neighborhood feel. clean, beautiful room, confortable bed, excellent ac. the bathroom could be bigger, and the water in the shower was a little hard to control. the staff was great, specially the front desk crew and the barman on the adorable terrace. the breakfast team could've been friendlier.

The front desk staff was wonderful. The rooms where very comfortable and spacious. The hotel itself was a little hard to find as it was off the beaten path. The street signs are not very large, so it was more of a challenge to first find the street. Also the street is two way except for where the hotel is actually located. You have to go around the block to park infront of the hotel. The signage for the hotel is practically non-existant as it is quite small. The hotel is located in a residential area and therefore just looks like an apartment building. However we enjoyed our stay once we found the place and it was just a few blocks walk to The Colloseium.

This hotel lived up to its billing. It was very nice and quite comfortable. We really enjoyed the outdoor terrace in the evening before retiring. It was very convenient to the sites we wanted to see. The neighborhood was very safe and quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Rome. It was expensive but all of Rome is expensive. Another plus was their English was very good and they helped us with whatever we needed.

My wife and I took off for a quick little Valentines getaway and did not know what to expect. I had not been to Rome before and was pleasantly surprised by the great location, terrific Rooftop Brunch, and excellent service. Everyone was very helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay!!! You could see the Coliseum from the rooftop cafe and could easily walk or bus to all of the great local attractions.
