Location. Family-run for four generations, the Hotel Saturnia & International in Venice, Italy, is 250 metres from St Mark's Square and the Grand Canal. The Hotel Saturnia & International is set in a 14th-century palazzo, with a terracotta exterior, green shutters and balconies. Venetian touches such as carved wood, marble and Murano glass are displayed throughout the hotel. There is a sunbathing terrace on the fourth floor, with panoramic Venice views. The hotel offers direct access to the canal.
Modelled on the dining room of a Renaissance-era ship, the candelit La Caravella restaurant serves traditional Venetian specialities and seafood. The interior features marble floors, leather chairs and a large safe from the original La Caravella ship. In summer, the courtyard offers alfresco dining. The adjoining La Caravalla Bar features a vintage wine bottle showcase and wood-panelled walls. Complimentary breakfasts and room service are available.
