Hotel Saturnia & International - Venecia

This was a charming hotel, that was easy to find from the water bus stop. The room was small which I had expected, but was clean and modern. The bathroom had been remodeled recently, and was so much more than I expected. The staff were kind, and helpful. The breakfast buffet had many choices and was tasty. I recomend this hotel

This hotel is in a perfect location, it is clean, spacious and at a good price. From the vaporetto, you get off at San Marco and it is less than a 5 minute walk. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast (included in price) was good, and the rooms were very comfortable. It is very close to all major sights and worth it for the price you pay.

Great location and very friendly! A hundred yards or so from San Marco Square. Hotel has lots of character and has a fabulous terrace on top with great views. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. The bed wasnt very confortable, but the manys pros out weighed this one con.

This was the best of the three hotels we used while in Italy. The hotel manager is extremely helpful and made sure we were always comfortable. The hotel restaurant, La Caravella, is superb. The manager of the restaurant is charming and went out of his way to be helpful and accomodating. We would love to go back to Hotel Saturnia. --Chicago-New York Connection

If you don't mind spending a little extra on a hotel, then this place is very good. The location is simply wonderful - very close to the San Marco vaporetto stop, which is where the airport vaporetto would drop you. Piazza San Marco is 2 minutes away, so you can't be more central than that, and if you are into the Opera, La Fenice is a minute away, literally around the corner. Wonderful breakfast and served as late as 10:30 for those of us who don't get up at the crack of dawn. The hotel also has a very nice restaurant attached. I stayed in room 401, which is a superior double and the only room on the floor, right next to the terrace, where in warmer temperatures you can stay out and take the air. The staff is multilingual, courteous and helpful. I would stay here again.

Hotel Saturnia had everything we needed. It was very nicely decorated, the bed was relatively comfortable, the bathroom was clean. BUT, when we arrived they asked to keep our passports for a police check, we simply said we would wait on the passports in the lobby. He made a snide comment about how we perhaps did not understand that they had an anti-terrorism act in place. We said we understood, but we would prefer to wait on our passports. What the hotel attendant said next was in Italian, but the tone was easily recognized. He said we would wait for atleast 10 minutes. Three minutes later we had our passports and were headed to our room. Also, the hotel offered a "free" trip to Murano with a glass factory tour. This was a set up with no tour, only one man making one piece of glass and then a very uncomfortable trip to the sales floor. We felt pressured to buy and ended up spending 300 euros on a glass statue that we could get in Venice for half the price. So, nice hotel...but worth the hassle? Still not sure. Would recommend, but skip the "free" tour to Murano.

This hotel is in a great location, minutes from San Marco square and in a great shopping district. We had a room overlooking the street which unfortunately was noisy at night. The room was quite basic but very clean, the bathroom was spacious. Great breakfast. A lovely surprise was a complimentary bottle of Prosseco left in our room to celebrate my husband's birthday.

oldy worldy hotel, efficiently run , pleaseant helpful staff, honest ( handed back valuable lost items twice!! ) beds could be more comfortable but would strongly recomend hotel for location , service and food quality

Located near to Piazza San Marco this is convenient and characterful. Breakfast in the courtyard, comfortable rooms and a roof-top solarium to relax on. The concierge will arrange a 'complimentary' boat taxi to Murano to visit bglas factories.

It was a nice hotel, the actual rooms are a bit dated and old. But we still enjoyed our stay and the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating.

Service was very helpful and friendly. The only negative comment is that the bed was too hard for my wife's liking, but it was fine for me. It was a firm bed though. They have a free water taxi service to Murano for the glass factories, but you have to inquire about it so do that the first day you arrive.

We booked this hotel at short notice and were lucky enough to get the last room available for a valentines getaway. We stayed for 4 nights in the heart of Venice, only a few minutes walk from St. Marks Square, and of course my partner loved it as the entrance to the hotel was opposite Gucci!!!! The hotel feels like a local family looking after you throughout your stay, the waiters and bar staff are extremely friendly and funny and are good conversationists and talk very good english. The room we stayed in was very clean and of good and practical design, the bed and the crystal lighting was fantastic. The hotel also has a beautiful roof top patio and what a retreat this is, however, its quite cold in Feb and it was the wrong time of the season to be sitting on a roof top, however, we did and there's nothing like listening to venice at night with the boats, the bells and the sound of laughter in the distance. We spent a fortune in various restaurants and we also dined at this hotel and the food was fabulous, and a reasonable price for venice. I would recommend the hotel to anybody and would certainly go back.

Our room, while large, was very dark. Make sure, if you go, to request a room with light. Also, the first day was cold and they don't turn the heat on til Oct. 27th. We were there from 9-27 to 10-3. It being a very old building, you could hear footsteps in the room above you. The bathroom was great - brand new. And the restaurant is very good. We would think about returning, but would ask for a light room on the top floor.

Overall the hotel was good. The room was a good size, and we had a nice view out over the rooftops of Venice. The breakfast was good considering it was complimentary, and the staff did not seem to mind that we always arrived for breakfast at the last minute. The location is great. The rooftop deck is a nice place to relax in the evening with a bottle of wine. I wish the rooms had an iron. The elevator is very small, so use the stairs!

tres proche de la place st marc ,tres bonne acceuil avec 2 enfants (2ans et 8 ans) tres propre,super petit dejeuné.

Vær oppmerksom på at dersom man kommer via buss, bil eller tog er det "en liten jobb" å komme seg til hotell i venezia nærmest uavhengig av hvilket man velger. man må se på det som en sjarmerende vandring.

Rien à redire. Bien situé, proche de la place Saint Marc et des navettes. Personnel accueillant et attentionné. Petit déjeuner très convenable.

Great hotel, super location, super clean, had free boat ride to Murano and Burano Islands.
