Hotel Cristall - Colonia

The hostel is well located only 5 mins walk from the Dom. The rooms are clean and modern. The rooms do vary in size as the hotel has an odd layout. Some rooms are quite tight compared to others. If you get a small one, perhaps ask to change to a larger room. The breakfast is very good and staff are courteous and helpful. Great hotel at a very reasonable price.

This was a great hotel for the money, room was confortable with a double bed, AC, big enough bathroom, and clean. Breakfast was included and was very good. The hotel is a 5 to 10 min walk from the main train station and turist areas.

Conveniently located with quick walking distance access to the central station, cathedral, shopping, and the old town square. My room was clean and comfortable and not cramped by European standards. The decorations were a little strange, but I couldn't really care less about that.

This hotel was ideal - it's within easy walking distance of the city cntre and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.

This was a nice stay overall and pretty cool with decur.

The room was very clean, and a good size and very comfortable. The location is a little out of the way, and not in the greatest area but not too far from the main station.

Spent one night in the Cristall Hotel for a weekend away in Keulen. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and was made available to us one hour early. The shower was excellent. The breakfast was fresh, varied and plentiful. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed New Year - excellent choice of hotel. 5 mins walk from Dom, 8 mins walk from old town. Rooms small but clean (single beds & duvets joined together though!). Breaksfast superb. Staff friendly & helpful. Definitely good value for the price - recommended for this budget. Note - most things closed on New Years day inc restaurants & shops - came as a surprise!

5 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof. Thought it was going to be noisy because it has a busy road running nearby and vicinity to station but apart from the occasional siren and one or two station announcements not too bad. Shopped til we dropped, ate well and slept well. What more could you want.

The hotel met all of our expectations and more. We were worried about being within walking distance of a train station, but the location was quiet and pleasant. It was also within walking distance of the cathedral and the tourist information center. We arrived several hours before check-in after a very long flight. Our room was ready and the staff allowed us to check in early without any hesitation. When we inquired about a local restaurant, one of the clerks was leaving for the day and offered to walk with us since it was on her way home. They room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was varied, extensive, and delicious. Whether you are travelling by train, car, or plane; is the place to stay while in Cologne.

We stayed for a couple of days, mainly to visit the many Christmas markets. The hotel (once we found it - the directions from the station provided by the hotel were a bit confusing) was better than expected. Reception staff were helpful and remembered our room number each time we returned to pick up the key. The room was clean with good decor. Not too much noise from the main road outside. Excellent buffet breakfast. We would go back. Take time to visit the Chocolate Museum, especially the shop!

the hotel is close enough to the old town and train station so access to anywhere in the city is quite easy. it is however close to the railway lines and on a ring road so can be quite noisy at peak times. the hotel looks very glamourous in the photo's but is actually a bit tired and the finish isn't quite as you expect. Neverthless i enjoyed my stay at the hotel and the staff were very friendly. i would be happy to stay there again.

Difficult to find at first, but worth the effort. Lots of local bars/restaurants as you are just off the main tourist drag. Room was wonderfully distinct, never been in a hotel room like it before and I travel 40 weeks each year.

Proximity to the railway station was a big plus point. Clean and tidy hotel and good value.

Location and description of decor on website induced me to reserve two rooms here. When we arrived, we were pleased with the rooms but when we went out to see the area around us, we were delighted to see that we were truly 200 meters from the Hauptbahnhof and the Dom Kirke. Excellent on all counts. Breakfast was very expansive for a moderate priced hotel. I would recommend this without hesitation.

This hotel was lovely and clean. The breakfast was also very good. It is very close to the trainstation and the Dom. I would definitely return.

Good hotel, easy access form tjhe train station, excellent breakfast.

Located very conveniently for the Dom and the city centre, but in a very noisy area (traffic passes all night long). Probably OK in cooler weather, but with no A/C the windows need to be open.

The Cristall is a quirky hotel that deserves to be tried as it is not for everyone - although for me it will become a 'favourite'! Just 250 yarsd from the Station and the Cathedral and only 50 yards from The Hilton - This is a well managed hotel with a real designer feel. Small rooms but perfectly formed. Try It!!!

We chose this Hotel for the price and central location. It far exceeded our expectations. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Walking distance from the main rail station. Great breakfast too with eggs and sausage.

It is very convenience place. The room is modern. Also the bar where is in first floor was very nice! The bar-tender is very friendly and kindness as well. The Reception is okay. The only problem, when I checked in my room, it was not cleaned up. The ashtray that someone used before and full of cigalettes was still in my room. But I would like to recommend this hotel it's very convenience place!

The hotel was a little hard to find at first, but once I found it I was pleased at how close it was to the railway and the heart of Cologne. Over all stay was good. Breakfast in the morning was decent and the rooms were clean. Only two problems, no wash clothes only towels. Also room service came later in the day than I usually like. Other than that I recommended this hotel to anyone traveling to Cologne. Oh and by the way the adult channels are free from 6 to 7 pm on Wednesday. Added bonus.

good location. Just a few blocks to the Hauptenhauf train station and to the Dom cathedral. Full buffet breakfast was included, which we did not expect. this alone would have been worth another $20.00US per day. Front desk people were exceptionally helpful, even so far as printing us the train schedule to Dusseldorf. Only complaint was that our first room was facing the speedway, which was very noisy, but they changed our room without any difficulty. Other problem was there was construction on the building right next door and it started very early in the morning, so that was irritating until the weekend. Rooms are a bit small, but i think typical for europe.

Walking distance from Train Station and Cathedral. The room was very small and was better for 1 person than 2. Other than the size, everything else was great. Breakfast was included and was very good.

the area surrounding the hotel was dirty and sleezy and hard to enter the hotel.

Positiv oplevelse med placering lige ved Hauptbahnhof og i gå afstand til messen 30 miniutter gang

Hotel is recent verbouwd c.q. uitgebreid. We hadden een prachtige ruime kamer op de bovenste verdieping met airco. Een prima uitvalsbasis om Keulen te verkennen. Voor ons zeker een plek om terug te keren.

Nous sommes arrivés à Cologne à 7h00 am et l'hôtel nous a donné notre chambre dès notre arrivée (pas besoin d'attendre midi). L'hôtel est située près de tout. Le petit déjeuner est très bien mais vous devez arriver tôt car à 9h45 am les croissants se font rares. Le café est bon et chaud! Notre chambre était belle et confortable (lit king et air climatisé). Je le recommande à tous.

Das Hotel Cristall liegt sehr zentral, ist gut zu erreichen und bietet alles, was man als Reisender von einem Hotel dieser Klasse erwarten kann. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit . Die Innenstadt liegt nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt, trotzdem ist die Gegend des Hotels nicht frequentiert. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist erfreulich, die Zimmergrösse je nach Typ von klein bis überraschend gross (liegt halt am Haus).

accueil sympatique,petit déjeuner copieux et varié,un peu éloigné des lieux touristiques,donc plus calme,mais il faut dormir fenêtres fermées:trains proches et voie rapide auto. nous avons passé 4 nuits très agréables

5-10 min zu Fuß zum Dom, sehr saubere Zimmer, Frühstück wurde ständig nachgefüllt.

Fernseher steht zu hoch, Schreibtisch ist viel zu klein, Rouleau klemmte, ging nicht wieder hoch

An der Freundlichkeit des Personals kann man noch arbeiten

Zimmer war klein aber sauber. Ruhige Lage. Frühstücksbuffet war sehr umfangreich. Personal ist hilfsbereit und freundlich.

Mooi schoon hotel. Uitstekende centrale ligging. Vriendelijk personeel en een mooie strak ingerichte schone kamer met airco. Geen last van verkeer door de dubbele beglazing. ontbijt is ook prima. Eigen parkeerplaats voor 9 euro.

Absolutt en av de mest positive hotellopplevelsene jeg har hatt. For 450 kroner pr natt forventer man ikke allverden, men her var det moderne design, rent og pent, trivelig betjening, kjempebra frokost. Sentralt plassert like ved Köln Hauptbahnhof. Eneste minuspoeng var at det ikke var noen ordentlig stol og heller ikke noe skrivebord på rommet (kun en litt stor trebeint krakk/puff-aktig sak og et lite nymåneformet bord) - og litt sigarettrøyklukt i frokostrommet, som sannsynligvis hang igjen fra baren kvelden før. Tyskland er ikke helt på høyden med røykelov ennå....

L'hôtel c'est très branché, c'est pas loin de la gare centrale et la chambre était très bien. Seul bemol: nous sommes restés au rez-de-chaussé...

Kleines aber feines Design- Hotel sehr Zentral

This was a nice and quirky hotel if that is your style. Very comfortable rooms and close to all the trainstation, the dome and the shopping area. I would most definately go there again.

hotel très simple, très discret, pratique car très proche du métro et de la gare. Le service est correct et les chambre propres. Efficace pour dormir et déjeuner mais ne vous attendez pas à repartir avec des souvenirs plein la tête. Il est pratique et simple, c'est tout. Petit hic : l'accès au parking est une véritable chasse aux trésors....

Ondanks de verkeersgeluiden toch een prima hotel. Aangename kamer, schoon met lekkere bedden. Goede sfeer. Uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Op loopafstand van station.

Har boet på hotellet flere gange før i forbindelse med messe i Köln. Første gang jeg har bestilt via Jeres site. Hotellet ligger centralt placeret, og er renoveret inden for de senere år, så det fremstår pænt og rent.

Gesamtbild v. Hotel war klasse, total stylisch, nur die Zimmer waren sehr warm ( aber Klima vorh. ). Für einen Kurzaufenthalt war es optimal. Preis/Leistung genau das richtige!!! Super tolles Frühstücksbuffet----> weiterzuempfehlen!!!
