we booked this hotel on the basis of hotels.com reviews, its price and its location (reasonably close to Rome airport). There's a very attractive picture of the pool area on the website, but it's a bit misleading -- it doesn't look anywhere as nice in real life, and the pool closes at 8pm (so you don't really see it at night). The internet kiosk is expensive, and the hotel entrance is a bit hard to see (between two gas stations). The GPS got us there, but I missed the turn. The real problem was the hotel restaurant, which was truly dreadful (for a Saturday night dinner). While it's convenient, I'd strongly recommend checking out other places in the area (assuming you have a car).

Hotel was clean but average. Girls on reception were excellent and advice and help very good. Nearest bus stop approx 500 metres away - hot going in the Summer months. Food was good, howvere when you order a steak then that's all you get. French fries, potatoes, sice dishes all extra. Would think twice about staying there again.

We stayed here for 4 nights and absolutely love it. Though the hotel was 15 Km from city center, at worst that meant 45 minutes to the vatican by rail. The station was a 10 minute walk, or you could take the bus. Staff was fantastic save for a couple of people, and the price included breakfast! The pool was nice too-

very nice hotel, in not so nice neighborhood, but even though I paid $9 for wireless internet, it did not work, I was getting disconnected every 5 min.

We've stayed in many hotels throughout Italy. This is one of the nicest we've been in, at an amazing price for a very, very nice hotel. I'd definitely stay here and take the Metro into town next time. Beautiful room, lovely interior design and furniture, GREAT bathroom lighting and modern fixtures.

the staff could be more friendly and patient. hotel is good and handy location.

The breakfast offered no "Hot food". The pool facilities not in good condition. The metro station a bit far way from hotel (about 20 minutes).

This hotel was wonderful: clean and comfortable, with a great bathroom. The location, however, was very inconvenient. If you're traveling with a car, this hotel is probably a very good bet--it has ample parking and is located directly off of a highway. But if, like us, you are traveling without a car, this hotel is an an extremely inconvenient location. It took two bus transfers from the central terminal in Rome, Termini Station. And we had to walk along a highway a few blocks from the bus stop to reach the hotel. And the nearest Metro stop was too far away for use. There aren't any services nearby, so you're pretty marooned once at the hotel.

We stayed for 4 nights in July and it was great. It's a good location if you want to be outside the city centre, just a short bus and metro ride from the centre of Rome. Lovely pool. Drinks at the poolside bar bit on the expensive side though! There's a shopping mall right next door too!

We stayed in the Cristofaro Colombo in June 08. It's the first time any of us had been to Rome and would happily stay in the Cristofaro Colombo when we go back. The rooms were spot on (with air con - bonus!) and the pool was a treat. It's about a 20 minute walk to the train station but watch the roads! Drinks were a bit pricey, but we bought our own from a supermarket and nobody bothered us. Breakfast was typical euro stuff, don't be too disappointed if you miss it. The only criticism would be the lack of food/snacks available through the day. We found the staff to be really helpful, they spoke good English and generally couldn't do enough for us.

Fairly run down, but clean and friendly. Good stop if you have a car or need a stop in Rome for an early flight the next day.

This hotel, while a nice place to stay, they are located outside the city and no access to the Metro system. There is a bus stop a short walk away (sometimes with no sidewalks), but you need to purchase tickets before getting on the bus. The hotel does not sell them, nor do they seem to know where to get them. We paid various rates for taxis to get to and from the airport and the city. Many of the taxis outrageously overcharged us because of the hotel's location.

Poor food, bad service

L'albergo dotato anche di piscina era un po' fuori roma ma nel complesso ottimo e il rapporto qualità prezzo molto buono.

ottimo albergo nella zona dell'eur a roma,ottimo il servizio la qualità della prima colazione ,e la cucina in genere.le camere sono ben attrezzate pulite e ben arredate,anche nei particolari.La piscina è essenziale ma pulita e ben allocata,il bar non funziona,e le pulizie della stessa iniziano tardi alle 10.00 quando è previsto l'ingresso nella stessa.il personale è folto e cordiale!!

Good location and ok rooms at a low price. Poor service and even worse food in the quite expensive hotel restaurant

La prima cosa che ho gradito è la cortesia e l'efficienza del personale di servizio. In secondo luogo la pulizia. Infine ho mangiato molto bene al ristorante dell'hotel e sebbene mi sia fermato solo un giorno son sicuro che ci tornerò appena avrò altri affari da sbrigare a Roma. Il tutto per un prezzo ragionevole.

Das Hotel liegt zwar an der Stadtgrenze und damit schon vergleichsweise weit von der Innenstadt entfernt, hat aber den Vorteil, dass man von dort über die nur ca. 1 km entfernte Auto bahn schnell zum Flughafen gelangt. Der Komfort ist unserem Eindruck zufolge für ein südländisches Hotel recht gut, die Zimmer sind sehr gut. Es werden täglich alle Handtücher gewechselt, die Bettwäsche ebenfalls. Das Frühstück ist als "kontinen- tal", also schlicht, zu be zeichnen. Leider gibt es nur wenig frisches Obst und eine begrenzte Auswahl an Belägen für Brot und Brötchen. Hier wäre doch gerade in Italien mit einem erweiterten Obstangebot auf preiswer- te Weise optischer und qualitativer Gwinn zu erzielen! Entgegen anderen Kritiken war das Personal an der Rezeption diesmal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, ist aber sehr personenabhängig.Wer wie wir einen Mietwa- gen untrzubringen hatte, ist dort mit den ausreichenden Parkflächen gut untergebracht. Die gut funktionierende Klimanlage ließ uns nachts gut schlafen. Alles in allem: Wir würden auch zum 3. Mal ohne zu zu überlegen dort wohnen wollen.

IL MIO SOGGIONO E' STATO TROPPO BREVE PER APPREZZARE A PIENO LA STRUTTURA.L'UNICA COSA HE NON ANDAVA ERA CHE L'ARIA CONDIZIONATA IN CAMERA ERA TROPPO FORTE E DIFFICILMENTE REGOLABILE. PER IL RESTO TUTTO OK COMPRESA LA COLAZIONE.

LO CONSIGLIO VIVAMENTE A TUTTI COLORO CHE VOGLIONO USUFRUIRE DI UN OTTIMO ALBERGO...CON FORTEVOLE IN TUTTO...

E' situato in una posizione strategica per chi come me va a Roma per lavoro, vicino al GRA ed è velocemente raggiungibile il centro della città. Alla reception sono gentili e attenti, un po' meno di livello il ristorante sia come piatti , sia come servizio. La camera va bene, confortevole, pulita e non disturbata. Nessun problema per il parcheggio dell'auto. Il collegamento wifi è a pagamento 6€ per 24h. A piedi si può raggiungere un enorme centro commerciale, Euroma, aperto anche alla sera e situato di fianco all'hotel. Al mattino si possono trovare tantissimi quotidiani nazionali, che l'hotel mette a disposizione gratuitamente. Lo userò ancora.

ein ideales Hotel, um Rom zu erkunden. 3 Gehminuten von der nächsten Bushaltestelle entfernt, die dann zur Metro fährt und somit alles sehr gut erreichbar macht. Gutes Frühstück (vor allem für Italien)

The hotel worked fine for us. Especially our kids enjoyed the pool, which was the reason for choosing the hotel in the first place. Rooms and service was fine, the restaurant was not very impressive, but the prices were low. Exept for monumental architecture the area surrounding the hotel had nothing to offer - no shops and café arround the corner. Though a huge shopping mall turned out to be situated right behind the hotel and that of course could be the reason that there was no business elsewere. With buss and metro you can get to the historical centre in half an hour. We had chosen to stay outside the centre because we wanted a pool for the kids and that turned out to be a good choice for us.

Cristoforo columbo is a splendid hotel for visitors that prefer the combination of sightseeing and relaxing moments by the swimmingpool. The distance to rome center (termini) isn't neccesarily a bad thing, whereas in our case, we were able to have a wonderful refuge from the hot, still air of the streets. The best thing to do is to visit tourist attractions in the morning and evening hours. The hotel swimmingpool is great and so are the relaxing sun chairs. The only thing you might have an argument about is the typical italian (poor) breakfast, or the lack of balcony furnitures. I can definitely recommend this hotel.

Siamo stati in questo hotel per una minivacanza a Roma,ci siamo trovati molto bene sia per la disponibilità del personale sia per le camere comode e pulite in più hanno anche una piscina che devo dire ottima per rilassarsi un pò dopo una giornata in giro per la città.Un pò distante dalla metro' ma c'è una fermata di bus a 200 metri che vi porta alla stazione piu vicina.

Dessutom ligger hotellet granne med ett av roms största shoppingcenter Euroma2, vilket kan vara kul för de shoppingsugna. Rekommenderas varmt till vänner och andra resenärer. Billigt, rent och schysst!

l'hotel ha una struttura vecchia sia per materiale che per qualità

Albergo con comforts più che buoni.

Struttura moderna, camere PULITE accoglienti e dotate di tutti i confort, molte con terrazzino. Servizio più che sufficente, colazione continentale a buffet e staff gentile e disponibile.. Un pò scomodo per muoversi senza auto o senza prendere un taxi.. Ma più che soddisfatto nel giudizio complessivo

abbiamo soggiornato una notte e siamo rimasti delusi dal livello generale dei servizi che a nostro avviso non sono certo di un 4 stelle. la stuttura è composta da diversi blocchi di fabbrica e la hall si trova in un corpo a se stante; le camere assegnate si raggiungono attraversando il cortile privo di copertua. pessima la colazione a buffet: un solo cameriere in sala (distratto e impegnato a trasportare dalla cucina al buffet uno scarno vassoio di cornetti di qualità scadente e pochi altri vassoio di improbabili salumi); le bevande, cappuccino, caffè e quant'altro sono erogati da macchine dispenser automatici; i dolci sono costituiti da fette di panettone anch'essi di qualità mediocre) insomma una colazione da dimenticare soprattutto se si considera alla classe dell'hotel che viene vantata dalla struttura. l'accesso alla struttura è abbastanza agevole, meno l'uscita: chiedere alla reciption indicazioni circa il cancello secondario ...si rischia di ritrovarsi in un attimo essere obbligati ad accedere al raccordo anulare senza possibilità di inversione del senso di marcia!
