Van Belle Hotel - Bruselas

At these times of a recession we are all looking to save wherever we can either for ourselves or in my case for the company I work for. I stayed in this hotel since it seemed reasonable value for money and with the pound against the euro almost on a par then from a UK perspective, even this hotel was not that cheap. But that is exactly what this hotel was Cheap. I am not stuck up but the furnishings in the bedroom were grotty. The bathroom was acceptable in terms of being clean. With no airconditioning the window had to be opened which meant noise until about 1:00am. Then a quiet spell only for the laundry man to arrive and load his van. Breakfast was reasonable. With a major facelift this could be a "good" hotel but I won't be staying there in a hurry

On a night where Brussels hotels were ratcheting up prices for single rooms, Van Belle gave me a twin bed room - which turned out to be 4 beds in 2 rooms - at a substantially lower price. Service was friendly and accommodating at reception and bar. Only probs: TV seemed dead (but had other things to do) and couldnt get a taxi in morning - not hotel's voice, just Brussels. Since quite a way from nearest metro this made for exciting rush to get to EC area for 9am

A quality hotel located in a convenient but rather undesirable area of Brussels. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. My TV remote control did not work but this was replaced very quickly. The buffet breakfast offered a wide choice and was availabe before the official 07:00 start time, which was usual as I had to leave very early on my last morning. Perhaps some of the hotel furnishings should be replaced.

The hotel is located in a rough and run down area. The room was stuffy, smelt of stale smoke and the furniture and decor very tired.

The hotel was located in a very bad area. It was not even on one of the tourist map that we used. Completely outside of the central area. Our window faced a boarded up, abandoned house, with street noise all through the night and morning. For the rate that we were charged, we could have stayed somewhere significantly better. However, The front desk was very nice. The room itself was alright, but had stains on the carpet and the walls. We could hear our neighboors. And the sheets defenetely seem unclean. Does not deserve its 3 star rating.

Small/Tiny room, poorly furnished.

Older, but quite clean hotel in Brussel not far away from the city centre. Only problem was a cigarette smoke smell in the room, not much we could do with. Breakfast with good selection.

We booked into the Van Belle for one night only, as a cheap stop over before an early morning Eurostar from Bruxelles Midi station. The area around Bruxelles Midi is not very nice, I wouldn't have wanted to walk to the hotel on my own. The hotel was acceptable for one night, but not fantastic. Staff were helpful and friendly, but the room was very basic. We were on the first floor, with an easily accessible flat roof directly outside our window, so didn't feel safe enough to leave the window open over night.

The hotel was quite nice, it was a little way out of Brussels main city so was about 15 mins walk to the Grand palace, although at the end of the road there is a tram stop that takes you to Brussels Midi train station and other locations. Overall it was a nice and friendly hotel.

Je recommande pour ceux qui ont un petit budget car c'est un Hotel bon rapport qualité prix en profitant des tarifs par hotel.com. Et puis nous n'étions dans la chambre juste pour dormir. Mais déception tout de même à l'arrivée car la chambre est rikiki et ne correspond en rien avec celles vues sur les photos, tout comme la sdb d'ailleurs. Le personnel est l'arrivée n'est pas acceuillant, pas de sourire, pas de "bienvenue'... Il faut payer pour le parking même lorsque vous êtes clients. Le petit déjeuner est vraiment très bof (même pas de croissants). Pour l'environnement, ce n'est pas l'extase non plus mais par contre nous n'avons jamais pris la voiture..le centre est à 10-15mn à pied si vous aimez marcher et sinon l'hôtel propose une navette gratuite pour s'y rendre (enfin un +).

Although this Hotel is 3 Stern, none of the facilities or the service matched that. Reception personnel has no idea what they are doing, they have no information about the city. Rooms are horrible and not comfortable at all. There is literally nothing in the room. Only beds and a broken tv. Toilet door is not an actual door and there are huge windows which can not be closed in the bathroom so good luck changing or taking shower!!! I am a hotelier and I know somethings about Hotel Standards and this is definitely not a 3 star hotel!

Dårlig betjening af flere i reseptionen. Resten af personalet helt i top. God morgenmad!

Cet hôtel a un bon rapport Qualité/Prix

Vi havde fået bestilt et ret centralt hotel, men det lå i et lidt uheldigt kvarter, synes vi. Det var umiddelbart ikke det mest trygge sted at færdes - og det var næsten også i dagtimerne, at det var ubehageligt. Men centralt - og med mulighed for aflukket parkering.

Das Hotel ist sehr günstig und hat allerdings auch recht wenig Komfort zu bieten. Das Frühstück war gut und das Zimmer in Ordnung. Das Hotel liegt in einem recht unansehnlichen Viertel an einer viel befahrenen Straße; dafür aber nur 10-15 Minuten zu Fuss bis auf den Grand Place. Nach hinten raus ist es ruhig aber sehr unansehnlich. Für den Preis insgesmt in Ordnung. Man möchte dort ja auch nur schlafen und frühstücken und den Rest der Zeit Brüssel besichtigen.

Un hotel facile d'accès, ou l'on peut se garer aisement. Une situation géographique légèrement en retrait ce qui permet de bénéficier de calme. Un hotel ou les employés sont agréable et prêt à rendre service. Des chambres propres, spacieuses, avec télévision. Cependant la vue de notre chambre située au premier étage n'est pas agréable (vue sur les toits). L'hotel est légèrement trop chauffé. Concernant le petit déjeuner, nous avons accès à un large choix ( oeufs, saucisse, pain, brioche, pain de mie, confiture, pate à tartiner, jus d'orange, café, chocolat et charcuterie).
