Hotel Casa de los Mercaderes - Sevilla

Unbeatable location right in the heart of the old section of seville. Lobby is clean and beautiful with the pillars and open air style of courtyard with tall cielings. Rooms are pretty typical of seville spain--small, old, a little dirty. Air conditioning worked great which is hard to find in spain.

Older hotel. It has its charm, but I personally like something a little more modern. Location is really convenient to everything. For the price, definitely worth it.

The hotel is ideally located in easy walking distance of the major tourist attractions and the shopping district. The staff were excellent going beyond their duty to ensure our visit was as good as it could be.

My room was small but comfortable. Basic amenities, including dryer, mini bar, etc. No iron. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Wifi available in the lobby upon request. Great location near the tourist sites. My only complaint was that when I checked out, I was charged for breakfast, which I thought was included in the price. They were prickly about it too when I questioned them.

What a great hotel! The people made the difference. Of the 4 hotels we staid at in Spain this one had the friendliest people by far. I will note, that it is a little difficult to find. If you have a car and are using a navigation system it will be tricky. Most streets in Seville are one way and the 2 nav systems we had wanted us to take paths that were not possible by car. The hotel sits off the road to the right a bit, a little difficult to see. There are street signs with the name of the hotel on it however. You will get to an s curve in the road just past Plaza Nueva - pull into the loading zone parking and go across the street and to the left a little. You'll find it. I can't say enough about the staff, great great people. My travel mate and I speak Spanish, and found most everyone in Spain to be friendly. This may have been because we speak the language, so your mileage may vary if you can't manage a little with the espanol. The room was by far the biggest room of all my European hotel experiences (10+). Everything was clean and well maintained. Weather in March seems perfect, not too warm or cold. There was no problem with climate control at all. I can see how summer months in Seville can get steamy, and the room did seem to have an AC unit. Small tv was in the room, but as I've said before, who travels to Spain to watch tv? Overall, once you find it, this hotel is a gem. The rooms could have been in lesser condition and the quality of the staff would have still sold me on the hotel. As it turns out the rooms were great quality also. A real bargain.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Great location, though lots of city street noise at times. Rooms not glamourous but great value for the money paid. Only one computer in lobby for guest use.

We quite enjoyed our stay at los Mercaderes - the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the location right in the middle of Seville was fantastic. The room decor is a little dated, but was spotless. Would definitely recommend it

We arrived late and had to park by the Cathedral and carry the bags about 1km. The first room we were given was damp ( in fact the carpet was actually wet) so we changed - with no problem - for another room. This was better but the plaster was nonetheless still damp & crumbling. Neither room had a window worthy of the noun. It is though in a good location in a great city. We stayed in a much better room in a Hotel towards the bullring for 2/3 of the price on the way back.

Hotel extremely convenient for everything. Took us a while to get our bearings but when we got them realised what a gem we had found. Front desk staff very helpful for all our needs. Stayed in room 102 which was spacious for the three of us. Its at the front of the hotel but you can get a feeling of being somewhere different, small streets absolutely so quaint. We had room service on three occasions just asked for a pot of tea for 3, ice bucket sent up every evening and not a single charge other hotels please take note!!! Will definitely be back.

Excellent location for waiking to everything. Helpful staff. Clean and quiet room. Just in town one night, perfect location and would stay here again.

Overall, the biggest plus about this hotel is its convenient location in the center of this lovely city. Sevilla, being a "walking town", is made even more convenient by the location of this hotel. I would recommend it without reservation. One caveat...if you plan on renting a car while in Spain, don't include the time you're in Sevilla. It is very "auto" unfriendly and difficult to negotiate by car. Walk, take public transportation, and taxis, but forget the car.

Not the newest hotel on the block but still very nice. The room was much bigger than what the pictures showed. Staff was incredibly friendly and the hotel was within short walking distance of the Cathedral and other must see sites. No room service though! Which given the price of food in Spain, room service was something my husband and I decided not to spend money on anyway. Several restaurants within short distance though.

Seville is not set out like Barcelona or New York, in the old quarter it is a maze of tiny streets many one way and the hotel is just off one of these streets in a pedestrian area. Just look out for a pedestrian sign and mount the kerb and park there. The hotel is very close by at this point and they will park the vehicle for you. Hotel very pleasant but our room was rather dark but well situated for all the sites and restaurants etc

The hotel is in a great location, right in the centre of the city, easy to walk to all the sights. However, we thought it was expensive considering breakfast costs an extra 14 euros per person and although our room was quite large we were on the ground floor at the back and only had a tiny window which gave onto a small yard without even a glimpse of sky. There's not really a lot of character to the hotel. We enjoyed our stay though.

personnel peu sympathique, chambre sans fenêtre.la chambre est grande la moquette au sol est usée.

petit hôtel sympa à 5' à pied de la cathédrale. Chambre confortable mais sans vue. Cloison des chambres laissant passer les bruits de l'étage. rideaux pas propres.

La chambre etait tres bien, nous etions 3 adultes, le lit supplementaire est trop petit et empeche le passage dans la chambre. La climatisation ne fonctionnait pas bien.

gute Lage Personal mäßig freundlich Zimmer ohne Fenster - naja

Mooi, rustig en karakteristiek hotel in hartje sevilla. Uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet en vriendelijk personeel.
