Radisson SAS Hotel Manchester Airport - Manchester

Very quiet room given it is next to the airport but in need of some renovation as the fittings were loking a bit worn. Comfortable and clean but you have to pay to park ovenight.

After reading great reviews, I booked this hotel for the night before our flight to the USA. It was certainly OK, but I felt it did not live up to the hype. In fact, we've stayed in the cheaper Marriot before, just off-site and we all felt this was just as good-in fact the buffet breakfast was better and slightly cheaper. On arrival in the States, we stayed in a similarly-starred airport hotel for one night and the difference was striking-both in terms of the size of the room and the overall quality, As for the breakfast-we paid $59 for 4 (inc tax) for a full buffet which was far superior than the Radisson's £17.95 each. Although I'd stay there again, I wouldn't be quite as quick to jump at the chance.

Stayed one night following at train journey from Glasgow. The fact that you can step off the train, check in and get to the terminal the next morning is the main advantage of this hotel. Didn't eat there mainly because meals seem expensive for what they are, there are far more value for money options available close by, This apart, the Radisson is hard to fault and does exactly what it's supposed to. Decent value for a decent standard.

We will definitely be staying here again. Made the whole process of getting away on an early flight practically painless - a quick walk to check-in, coffee in hand, brilliant.

Very unimpressed, The standard of service was very poor. The staff were lovely but just appeared to have no clue whatsoever as to what there job function was.Do not stay in their standard rooms.Scandanavian theme...... a few bits of the cheapest furniture from ikea 10 years ago and thats your lot. At breakfast they stood and argued that i haddn't booked breakfast in my room rate, and that i would have to pay again, the next 3 people all had the same problem. There was no one in charge to speak to. after about 5 mins the 4 of us in the que all agreed to pay for breakfast to at least allow us to have something to eat, on the basis that we would sort it out later. So it was duely signed for. After breakfast A fifteen minute debate at reception sorted the problem out.... there was a problem with their system and many of the guests names appeared on the breakfast list as not paid. The next morning i had exactly the same problem so rather than argue i said i would not have breakfast. On checkout they wanted to charge for the breakfast of the previous day on the basis that although it was included because they had a slip saying i had signed for it they would have to charge. But as i said earlier the staff are lovely so they can manage to do this still smiling and happy. I could go on for ever.... the evening meal the previous night would need a whole new chapter, however i'm sure anyone reading would get the picture.

Stayed overnight so would be right on the doorstep for plane in the morning. Could not be nearer to T2 check in. Great staff, lovely room, clean, modern and stylish. Lovely room with great view of the runway. Restaurant nothing exciting but good, tasty food at a reasonable price.

Excellent experience all-around in this hotel that is connected to the Manchester, UK airport by a walkway. Couldn't be more convenient, breakfast was excellent, room was immaculate and well-appointed, and the price was lower than what I expected for an in-the-airport hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

We used the hotel to make it easy to catch a morning flight out of Manchester Airport. It is ideal for this purpose. The room was comfortable, the service prompt and courteous. The restaurant was fine, if a bit pricey.

we arrived late from the Isle of Man and were surprised at the swift service and attentive staff. The check in was speedier than Gonzales himself! We were upgraded to an Italian styled room, which was luxurious. We padded about in our towelling robes and the shower was a superb power one. Well done!

looks good on outside,but very poor on inside. beds small and very uncomfortable. very like an ibis or travel lodge

The location of the hotel is fantastic, 2 min walk to terminal 2 and the same to the train station and terminal 1. The food is very expensive and not very well presented, i had a spider in my lettuce that was unwashed !!! The rooms are ok, not 5* The bed was uncomfortable, and the noise in the corridors was bad, people coming and going, i also hasd a racial alteracation with a group of lads i asked to be quite at 4am, i had a 10 hr flight infront of me with 2 children, they were not very polite, i complained to Radisson staff, but have heard nothing as yet, the best thing about the radisson is the proximity of the terminals.

Food (Brasserie Restaurant) was inedible. Another guest used his key to enter my room. Security services said this happened "infrequently." WIFI signal was so low my PC would not stay connected. Technical services changed the IP address, but this did not solve the problem.

The hotel was FAR TOO HOT, both for guests & staff! This is the 2nd & last time that this will happen to me here as I am taking my business elsewhere. It had been a really nice day - the glass walkway connecting the hotel to the airport terminals had warmed &, in turn, heated the glass-faced hotel which had also warmed. My wife & I ordered food in the restaurant but the overwhelming heat curtailed our appetite - we left more than we ate. All guests were fanning themselves with the menus. Having a cooling drink in the bar did not make things any better - TOO HOT there also. We left the hotel for a drink at an adjacent COOLER hotel before returning to our HOT room - we had left the A/C on it's lowest setting but to no significant effect. When I highlighted my thoughts to a variety of staff members their POOR responses & shrugged shoulders did not help!

Very convenient location to Manchester, UK airport and train station. Clean, simple decor with all amenities and perfect location for the early flight schedule the next morning.

This is an excellent hotel in terms of comfort and convenience for Manchester Airport. However there are long long delays for checking in and out and the food in the brasserie takes forever. The staff are pleasant and clearly doing their best but it's not the place to stay if you like prompt service.

We flew to Manchester early Saturday as we had tickets to watch Man Utd. The reception staff found us a room for us to book into at 11am, and were very helpful, putting in an extra be for our 8 year old. The hotel is really well located, as you don't have to exit the terminal buildings to get there. Also, the railway link to Manchester is only a 5 minute walk, all under cover. You don't get any airport noise in the rooms, though my son loved the view across the airport. We made use of the swimming pool in the health club. Friendly concierge helped recommend where we go out on Saturday night.

Great Hotel and generally excellent accommodation - but.....beds too soft, got sore back and need more staff; took forever to get served at bar and in Brasserie

What a great hotel. Although we were just passing through, we would have loved to have stayed longer. The convenience and courtesy was great. Thank you for a great night's sleep to break up a very long tiring trip!
