Microtel Inn & Suites BWI Airport - Baltimore

We had to change rooms because the 1st room smelled too musty. The second room was fine. Staff were willing to please!

At check out, I asked the counter person why they didn't have Fox News Channel. She gave me a smirk and sarcastically said "Fox News, I don't think so" and then chuckled to herself. She saw the reaction on my face to her insulting behavior and just smiled at me. I was very suprised because the young lady who checked me in couldn't have been nicer to me. I travel often but after being treated like an idiot there, I will Never spend another penny at Microtel.

This motel had the best breakfast of my entire trip. Also, the room was spacious and very quiet. The free airport shuttle was great because my arrival time was 11:30 pm, a little late to go get a rental car.

AC didn't work but got fixed after 2 calls. Took a Spirit of Baltimore midnight cruise and was looking forward to the 4:30 breakfats before going to sleep, was delighted to find breakfast was already ready to eat when we arrived at the hotel at 4am, got to sleep earlier than expected!!

Good room for the money. Breakfast was better than most continental breakfasts. Wish smoking and non-smoking rooms were on separate floors. A/C wasn't great, but informed staff at front desk and they were grateful.

It's interesting to me that the Hotel staff used the computer more than the actual guests could and even when there are guests waiting to use the computer they take their sweet time getting off, or ignore the guests completely unless a complaint is made to the desk. Then watching as the Airport Shuttle Van Screeches out to the hotel parking lot was interesting as well I had known that was how I could get my start into NASCAR I would have applied years ago. but the best part is watching the airline flight with their bags beside them in the library watch as the Van driver gets up and leaves the lobby with out any notification that he's going to the airport and then Drive off, and then when the crew asks the people if he's coming back and they call the driver to come back (all within the space of 4 minutes of his screeching out) it takes an additional 15 minutes for the van driver to appear. Definatly not a hotel I would recommend to Friends or Family especially if they're coming from the airport.

This hotel was pretty nice for a low-frills option. The rooms were pretty clean and nicely decorated; there were only smoking rooms left so that's what we got. If it weren't a smoking room, it would've been 100 times better. We ended up getting a couple of air fresheners and put them in the air conditioning vent to take the smell out a little.

Great breakfast: Eggs, sausage, waffles, cerial, & various breads. standard room: clean, good layout, two queen bed with extra window bed. Sleeps 5.

Overall great place fresh sheets, towels, contential breakfast in the morning, internet with wifi, high presure shower & hot water.. Would recommend to others and stay again for sure had shuttle service to and from airport..A+ in my book

everything was ok, but for what we paid, i would have expected a little more...

I stayed at this hotel last year so when we made a return trip to Baltimore, we decided to stay at the same place as last year. What a difference a year makes. I was told that there was a change in ownership and it was not for the better. When we went there last year, we were allowed to check in early so we could get down town to the inner harbor and to the baseball game. We checked in last year around 2 pm. This year, we got there at 1:30 and were told we could not check in until 3 PM as stated on the reservation. We then asked about the shuttle to down town and were told that also had been eliminated with the new owners. I decided to check to make sure my 2 rooms were still reserved and they were so we left for down town (using a cab). When we returned from downtown around midnight, we got our 2 rooms and we were totally shocked to find that our reservations for 2 rooms with 2 beds was replaced with 2 rooms with 1 bed. We had 3 people in 1 room and 2 in the other. As you can tell, this was not acceptable. I then when to the front desk and i was told that there were not any other rooms available. Our group found a way to make this situation work but I can't believe they would do this. In addition, one of the rooms we had didn't have a working phone. It was bad enough having this happen but both clerks were not the friendliest. I would highly recommend you think about a different hotel when making reservations. I will never stay at this place again and i will tell everyone i know to avoid this place.

This hotel was nicely situated close to the Baltimore MD airport, however, our rooms were not very clean and in disrepair. The shower and bathroom were old and kind of gross. The metal shower fixtures were coming apart and the caulking was pretty much off of everything. We woke up to thousands of sugar ants crawling all over our box of Dunkin Donuts we had purchased the evening before. I mentioned it to the front desk person, but they just said, "oh, ok." Think twice about staying here.

We are frequent Stayers at this hotel for its convenience to the BWI Airport and other government offices and traininf facilities nearby.

It was very clean and the staff was very pleasant. The breakfast was good and overall it met our expectations and we would surely use this hotel again.

Hotel was rough around the edges but perfect if you're not relying on hotel amenities for your vacation. The bed was comfortable and the employees were friendly.

The door to the room banged when other hotel room doors closed; the drapes didn't close completely; the volume control on the TV did not work properly and there was no closed captioning. The bathroom door frame was rusty and the floor was sticky; a huge amount of caulk was hand-smeared around the bathtub, and the toilet flushing sound was extremely loud. The heater - A/C unit was missing a panel that might show what the different settings were. The good news: the room had a comfortable, clean bed. I'll try a different hotel next time.

Hotel was verv clean and comfortable for what my needs were. Breakfast choices very limited.

Hotel is just a few minutes away from BWI airport in a hotel district. Room was clean with ironing board, iron, & hair dryer. Beds were comfy and area was quiet. They offer a free shuttle to the airport, but you need to schedule it ahead of time as they are not on stand-by. You are also able to leave your car there and pay a minimal parking fee per day while your gone rather than leave your car at the airport. I would definitely stay there again. Very convenient and easy.

The place looked worn out. The room looked as if it hadn't been cleaned. Crumbs on the sofa, dirty counter tops and fronts of cupboards. The sheets were clean.

I went to the breakfast in the morning. I grabbed a bagel and it had mold on it. I then picked another, same problem. Needless to say, I did not get any breakfast before my flight. The bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked.

The hotel was a little worn and shabby. Not in a shabby chic way! The service was good and the location is very convienient to BWI.

For the money, it was a good stay. They had the room waiting for me and i was a late check in. Parking fine. It was a little hard to find though, so better directions on website would help.

The room smelled like an armpit! It was in great need of an upgrade! There is so much competition at BWI airport area- find a better hotel.

I knew we made a mistake when the shuttle that picked us up was so filthy and smelly it reminded me of my visit to Egypt. The driver was menacing looking, unfriendly, and rather scary. The entrance was small and dirty. The elevator smelled, the hallway smelled, the room smelled. The decor was terrible, the tiles, caulking, wallpaper, etc. all looked to be thirty years old. To top it off, the "High speed wireless internet" worked about as well as the Internet worked in 1995. That is, when it worked. They had to reboot the system twice while we were there (one night, thank god). When it was up, it was so slow I could barely access basic email. AVOID

Hotel was as expected for the money, a bed for the night. The bathrooms were what turned the stomach.

For the price we paid, the room was fine. The carpets really need to be cleaned though. Our toddler's, and our, socks were filthy from walking around in our room. Bed was comfortable, free wireless is nice, and breakfast was OK. I called down to the front desk for towels and never got them. I had to find a housekeeper in the hall and get them from her. Overall, the hotel is worth the money we paid, but not much more.

Great hotel, especially for the price paid. The room was very comfortable and homey, the staff was pleasant, and the continental breakfast was great. Would definately stay here again.

The front desk attendant was rude when I checked in, handing me a long incomprehensible document with no description that I was required to initial before I was given keys to a room. I was also required to give a credit card for imprint for "additional services" (not sure what they could have possibly been). The room had a "dirty bathroom" odor when I first entered. Because of the curtness of the front desk attendant I did not complain, thinking that the odor would dissipate shortly. However, even the next morning when I returned from breakfast, the odor was still present. Breakfast was nothing to write home about - orange juice dispenser was empty as it had been the night before and the only other juice had no taste (colored water). The hotel was not near enough to any restaurants so the only solution was delivery chinese or pizza for dinner -- yuk! The only positive thing I could say is that they had free shuttle to/from the airport. All in all I did not feel it was good value and would recommend looking elsewhere.

The first room we checked into the heat didn't work, and it was 25 degrees out. The second room they put us in was a handicap room which was fine except that the bathroom was dirty, the carpets haden't been vacumed and the tv was broke. If we had not been so tired and it hadn't been so late, we would have left to find another hotel. The one positive was that the shuttle to the airport was on time.

Only real gripe: walls are thin & noise carries. Really nice fridge, sink, microwave kitchenette. I didn't expect the free breakfast to be available at 4:30 am, right before I was to catch the hotel's free shuttle to airport & was pleasantly surprised.
