An excellent hotel all around! Right next to the clock tower and the Market Square, which we could see from our 4th floor room! Rooms are very clean and bed is comfy. A great value price wise and everything in town is walking distance. We did not eat at the bar/ bistro, but the bar was full when we were checking in. Nothing negative to say about this place at all. See you again Martin's Hotel in Brugge!

This hotel is located right behind the belltower and about 100 feet from where you can catch the canal tour. Everyplace you could possibly want to go is within steps of the hotel. The safe didn't work, and we were there on a weekend when the mechanic was not on duty. That was the one and only negative. The staff was top notch, it was clean, comfortable, and just fantastic.

The room is just what you should expect from a European hotel in this class: very small, slightly in need of renovation. But the view from our window was charming, the staff incredibly friendly and generous, and the location can't be beat. And in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, location matters. Take a bus from the train station to the center of town, and it's a five minute walk from there. A cab from the train station costs about 9 Euro. By the way, if you see a shop with the words "The best place to drink hot chocolate" on the awning, stop in for the most incredible marzipan you've ever tasted.

Considering our decision was last minute and hence our choices limited, we really lucked out and got a great place. Centrally located, reasonably priced, and much nicer than we expected. One caveat, parking is a definite problem. Very limited parking on site, street parking almost impossible, you have to find a garage on the edge of town and pay. Still, would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Very pleased, hotel had a/c which isn't always the case, the hotel is only one block from the central plaza. Be prepared for narrow, confusing streets to get here if driving, and parking in the hotel garage is a rather steep 29 euro.

Unsure whether Wi-Fi free or not. Hotel very modern inside with great decor.

This is a good hotel in the heart of Bruges. Internet is pricy, as in many hotels. I was surprised that the hotel was modern on the inside because I expected a much older style of hotel give that the facades of the buildings in bruges are very old.

Hotel was very central in a great neighborhood. Beware: the bell tower rings every 15 minutes and you can throw a rock to it, it is so close. So bring your earplugs. Some people can sleep through it, but im just a light sleeper. Our room was decent, worth what we paid for it, which was not very much. our room smelled nice, but our hallway smelled like mildewy lemony scent. Awful!!Anyways, all in all, not bad considering you're not in your room that much anyways. Brugge is beautiful, very relaxing, and will be a nice addition to anyones trip.

We loved Martin's Brugges and think it was a great deal for the money. It is only a few steps from the main square and directly behind the bell tower (wonderful french fry carts just on the other side!). The staff were friendly and very helpful. It didn't hurt that they also had a big jar of chocolate Easter eggs to share with guests!!! I would highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay in Brugges, a marvelously charming city.

Hotel was good although room small - but functional. All we needed was the bed. Hotel has undergroound parking but it is expensive at 24 eu per night. Cheaper in the ring road carparks. Hotel location ideal for exploring. No more than a 15 min walk from any of the sites and among many good restaurants - although again pricey. The bells didn't bother unles you were trying to sleep between 0800 and 2000

The hotel was superbly located for all attractions. It was very clean and the service was very good. Only gripes; the shower in our room was a drizzle and there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Bruges was a lovely place to visit, very peaceful (apart from the church bells), ideal for a romatic weekend.

Located in a little street just behind the belltower in Markt, it is a great base location for a trip, located fairly central, with various shops and restaurants nearby. The Hotel was clean and inviting with friendly staff on reception. The room was comfortable (our 'twin' was two singles pushed together, but each had seperate bedding, so fine by us) Stayed in a cosy room - small TV, but still very happy.

Martin's Brugge is a couple of blocks away from the Market Square, and right next door to the Belfry. The service was rather good, too: at first, we were given a key to a smoking room when I had requested a non-smoking room. So they happily corrected their mistake and gave us a slightly nicer room. I'm not sure how the bar or breakfast is since we didn't check them out, but happy hour at the bar is from 20:00 to 21:00. I really appreciated the central location of this hotel, which helped out our ability to see a good portion of the city in the limited time we had there.

Martin's hotel is ideally located for the centre of Brugges. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel has a nice atmosphere. However, breakfast charges (yes, even for basic continental) and parking charge effectively doubled the double room rate making this an expensive overnight stay. Would only recommend whilst highlighting the hidden charges.

Although our room was typically European (miniature) it was a fantastic stay. There is a garage under the hotel with a locking door. The location cannot be beat and the breakfast is very good for the cost (15 euro). I enthusiastically recommend this hotel to anyone and will absolutely stay here the next time I am back in Bruges. It is 1 block off the main old-town square, directly behind the bell tower.

Brugge is a superb place to visit at any time of year the Hotel is central and has underground parking (24eu) a day but at the moment many of the streets are being dug up so getting to the hotel can be tricky . worth ringing them for up to date guidance on how to get there. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast was good but not included. Price for room was reasonable but Brugge has become expensive especially since the pound has dropped so take plenty of money!

We planned to stay in the town centre for three nights as i have a walking issue at the moment. We were slightly concerned that some reviews had referred to the obtrusive nature of the bells from the Belfry next door. We needn't have worried. Yes the bells were rung and could be heard but only added to the experience. We were only metres from the main square and a short stroll from the canal boat station by the Bridge. The Hotel was clean and the room we had was fine. It was advertised as a cosy double, and it was. We took our own teasmade as the Hotel room does not have one. We are indebted to the advice about Parking. The Hotel's Parking costs 24 euros a night, a bit steep. We used the Pandreitje Underground Car Park, perfectly safe and within five minutes walk of the hotel, a mere 7.80 euros for each 24 hours. You can still pull up outside the hotel front in Oudeburg to drop off your cases. There are many eating places within ten minutes walk, try Cambrinus a wonderful combination of good food and a choice of 400 beers-the car stayed put in the car park! We will go back and definitely recommend the hotel as great value for such a central location.

A fantastic hotel in an ideal location, only a minutes walk from the market square with its shops and restaurants. My husband booked this last minute break to Bruge and his choice of hotel was perfect. The hotel is quite central yet manages to be down a quiet side street at the same time with a great choice of restaurants and bars on your doorstep. We liked the contemporary interiors and the outdoor terrace area where we enjoyed drinks in the evening. The only downside was the refuse collection that seemed to take place at 5am and took forever to make its way down the street. Next time we will ask for a room away from the street. Oh and the breakfast is good !

Only one thing that didn't appeal - the (velux) window doesn't open so had to use air-con which I don't like much. But, all in all, it was superb.
