Lindner Hotel Dom Residence - Colonia

The hotel is so close to the centre of Cologne & yet it is quiet and set back from the hustle & bustle. Definitely the best hotel I have stayed in, in my 10 years visiting the city

This is an ideal hotel for anyone visiting Cologne. It is a short walk away from the station and the service of the hotel desk was excellent. Our room was available when we arrived at midday, earlier than we expected. My only criticism would be lack of English TV channels or a sport channel - but then we didn't go to Cologne to watch TV!

The location is walk distance to the Train station and church also the riverside. its easy to walk around for coffee or restaurant. I recommend you all for this hotel . good room with good value of money .

This hotel certainly exceeded my expectations. I was fortunate to get a last-minute deal here for a business trip to Cologne, and I must admit I was very impressed. All of the friendly service staff are fluent in (at least) English and German, so they were quite helpful. The room was clean and quite large for the price, compared to other German hotels I have stayed in. I also thought the location was excellent. Only 2 blocks from the train station and the Dom, I couldn't have asked for a better place. I highly recommend.

I have stayed here several times in the past and always return. It's a good central location, but on a quiet street, so very peaceful. The Italian restaurant in the hotel is good and there is a nice, quiet bar. Rooms are European size, meaning small, but very comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful, everything is clean. I really like it.

It's difficult to review this hotel, because it wasn't really very remarkable--nothing was bad, but I can't say anything was spectacular either. It's nice to be so close to the train staton and the staff was courteous. We never ate in the restaurant, but the menu did look good (somewhat expensive, though.

The hotel was walking distance from the Train Station and the Dom. The rooms are nice sized and the hotel is 4 star. The greet staff are very good. we didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, a bit pricey.

It's a good hotel with middle of the road European style facilities that are in good condition and has reliable service, if only they add hair conditioner as a standard issue in the rooms. That aside, it was close enough the DOM and the fun part of the city, yet hidden a bit to make it really quite right outside of its doors :) Apparently, it's part of some sort of a short term residential establishment.

Very good hotel, relatively small, not intimidating. Quiet but close to everywhere. Excellent breakfasts.

Everything about the hotel was very good - pool/sauna/gym area clean and relaxing. Restaurant food was good too. Very well positioned too - right beside the main train station. I was surprised that it was so good to be honest. I'd recommend anybody to stay there.

The hotel is located within close walking distance from the central train station about 3 minutes from the Cathedral. The staff were very helpful and the rooms were neat and tidy and quite modern. My only criticisms would be that you have to pay for the decent english TV and there is no kettle for your personal use.

The Lindner Hotel Dom is comfortable, friendly and well cared for. The location, five minutes walk from the cathedral, is excellent for exploring Cologne. We got a good deal on a business class room, which was quite spacious. Nothing to dislike about the hotel.

Hotel is five minutes walk from the train station and Cathedral, yet area is quiet and safe as opposite a police station. Room was a bit business oriented, but was comfortable, good shower etc. Reception staff are friendly. Christmas markets are all walkable from this hotel. Never ate in the hotel, there are plenty of places nearby to go to which are most likely cheaper.

we went to watch manchester city destroy schalke and easily won 2-0 The Cathedral is wonderful and we enjoyed our stay. They had a large Christmas market but amazingly is not as big or intersting as the one we have in Manchester

I have been travelling to Cologne for 20 years and stayed in dozens of hotels, but this was my first time in the Lindner. Best value for money that I have stayed in, a top hotel at a budget price (don't know if I got lucky with the price). Now my first choice hotel in Cologne.

Great location, good pool, helpful staff, TOO HOT! The only gripe we had was that the air-conditioning didn't work; the staff said the whole hotel is maintained at one temperature...unfortunately, that temperature was 21 degrees (According to the air-conditioning control panel) Less than 5 minutes from the station and the Dom. 10 minutes from the main shopping area; outstanding location.

Can't fault anything with this hotel. It was extremely clean and comfortable. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We didn't use the sauna and pool - but they have them. The restaurant looked nice (though the menu wasn't to our taste so we didn't eat there). The staff were extremely helpful and all (including the maid) spoke English. The location is very good - less than five minutes from the Cathedral, though far enough away to not be too busy or noisy. Would definitely stay there again.

Grand place to stay. Really handy location for city and for the train station! Place was clean, staff were friendly. Only stayed one night, so cant say much more. Definitly nothing bad to say anyway!

This hotel is perfectly situated for a city break, being within 5 minutes walk of Cologne Dom and the railway station. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout and well maintained. Our room was a decent size and very comfortable, especially the bed, which meant a really good nights sleep. We did not eat in the hotel, so cannot comment on the food from the restaurant. We would certainly recommend this hotel to others and stay here again ourselves.

This Hotel was far better than expected for the price we paid.Would go back straight away,lovely Hotel and in a prime position for all attractions.

Close to to all Cologne central attractions (Dom ,rail station).Located in a quiet side street with no noise at night but just a sort walk to the pubs and bars .The Hotel boasts a swimming pool and sauna which is free to guests .On the negative side the Breakfast is quite expencive but there are plenty of alternative places close by to eat even on Sunday morning.

This hotel is very convenient for business trip. It offers every amenties you expect to have in a hotel of this kind. However the hotel feel quit cold and there is no wamth added to the place. Finnally if you want a hotel a few steps away from the main railway and you are on a business strip, it is a very good place to go to!!! If you are on a romantic trip please don t go there!

Hotel is very modern & clean , beds comfortable & large , 5mins walk to the impressive Cathedral great hotel

The Lindnar is situated n a perfect location with only a 3 minute walk to the Dom. The staff were friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble for them. Rooms were clean and well kitted out with a large desk for the business traveller. The bathroom was spotless and of a good size. We'd have no hesitation in recommending the Lindnar and intend returning with friends. Great choice!

I was very pleased with this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were great. Excellent location. A well deserved 4 stars. Looking forward to going back!

Cologne is quite a small city everything seems to centre around the main train station, which means the majority of the hotels (including deluxe 5 star options) while being central, have the extra pleasure of having a delightful view of train tracks Using the search option we chose boutique hotels in the city with a 4 star rating and up popped the Lindner Hotel Dom Residence. After doing a little research on the hotel and also Hotels. Com offering a great 3rd night free offer we decided to book. Only a 5 min walk from the main train station but not a train track in sight ! The room and bathroom was nice and big, bright and really clean and fresh. There was stacks of hanging space & lots of hangers which is always a rare find. We only had breakfast once in the hotel & it offered a good range of goodies, from cereal, continental options through to a cooked breakfast option. Everything was warm and were refilled accordingly. The location was perfect, easy to find and in a quiet street just behind the cathedral and central to everything (it took approx 3 mins from the hotel to walk to the Cathedral & the tourist information centre) which also proved quite a luxury after dinner and drinks. I would really recommend this hotel to anyone, although it wasn't as intimate or boutique-ie as you would expect in the UK, I really couldn't fault anything.

Very pleasant and well situated hotel, good price and very comfortable room. But room was too hot at night and they explained that air con temperature could not be adjusted more than +- 3 degress C. This seemed to be inherent in the design of the hotel. As a result, sleep was a little disturbed. I think I would still recommend it, however, as location was excellent, just a short distance from Koln Hbf station.

This is nice hotel in a nice part of town. Very close to everything you need.

This was an excellent hotel and close to amenities for Cologne Christmas Markets. The only thing that the room lacked was tea/coffee making facilities and although an iron and board was available in the room this was not the case. Would certainly visit this hotel again.

Good location on quiet steet. Near bahnhof and major sites. Helpful staff. Very comfortable beds.

Great Hotel. Super clean rooms, great style. 500 meters from train station and 500 meters from Cologne Cathedral. All rooms have wireless internet--but it is expensive..17 euros per day. Breakfast is also expensive---18 Euros per day---so instead, just walk to the train station and get breakfast for 5 Euros. The workout room is Huge and state of the art. It costs 9 euros per day.

Als alleinreisende Frau war ich beruflich in Köln. Ich kann dieses Hotel sehr empfehlen. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer hat meinen Erwartungen entsprochen. Gebucht hatte ich ein Einzelzimmer, bekommen habe ich ein Doppelzimmer mit mehr Platz. Ruhig und doch sehr zentral gelegen mit nur wenigen Gehminuten zum Dom. Das Frühstück war reichlich und mit guter Auswahl. Ich fahre wieder dorthin.

Det var ett bra hotell, men det kändes som man måste betala för allt. Poolen var gratis men Gymmet kostade 9 Euro per gång vilket jag tycker är dyrt. Sedan får man en lapp med hotellfrukost med 2 för 1. Det innebär att man får äta 2 dagar för priset av 1 och inte 2 personer för priset av 1. Hotellfrukosten var väldigt dyr, cirka 20 Euro per person. Det var en bra frukost, men knappast värd 20 Euro. Internet kostar. Men personalen var väldigt trevlig. Bara så att man är medveten om att inga tillägg är gratis så kommer man att få en bra upplevelse.

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber. Das Personal ist freundlich. Der Zimmerservice und die Gerichte aus dem hauseigenen Restaurant waren auch total lecker. Das ganze Ambiente trug zu einem tollen Aufenthalt in meiner Heimatstadt bei.

La chambre est confortable, la climatisation est bruillante, attention si vous n'avez pas pris le petit déjeuner avec votre réservation, le "VOUCHER" qui vous est remis est une réduction de 50% et le petit déjeuner est cher (19,5€)

Mycket bra läge centralt nära sevärdheter, shopping och U-bahn. Stort rum och mycket fint.

Superb beliggenhed, gode parkeringsforhold (aflåst), glimrende morgenmadsbuffet. Personalet alle flinke og kompetente. Eneste minus var mus i baren!?

Bonne situation géographique à 2min de la garen 2 min du Dom et 5 de la vieille ville, très confortable, très propre.

Høj standard og rigtig lækker morgenmadsbuffet, der dog koster tyve euro oven i værelsesprisen. Jeg kommer gladeligt igen.

Sto at det var basseng og massage på hotellet. Og det var det, men tilhører eldrehjem/rekrasjonshjem for 80-90 åringer. Fikk kjeft hvis du pratet høyt etc. Passer jævelig dårlig for gutter på 30-40 som er på tur.
