The hotel it self is beautiful. The room was spotless and very comfortable. We used the hotel for an overnight because we had an early flight home the next morning. If you are walking from the airport be perpared for a LONG walk. The signage is very bad and the walkway was very hot. the only plus is that it is slightly downhill. I would never walk back to the airport from the hotel which was my plan. only after asking 4 times to get a ride which I was told is for "Flight Crew" only they finally agreed to give my family and I a ride back to the airport.

The hotel was generally good and as I expected. The food at eheir restaurant was expensive although good, and I can't compare it to other restaurants in the area. The price included "service". When I asked if that meant it included tips I was told no, so I left a tip. The next time I was told it did mean that it included a tip so basically I overpaid on an already costly meal the first time.

From the outside you'd think the Hilton Rome Airport Hotel is a winner due to its dynamic architecture... but, except for its excellent location, it's not worth price. Rooms are clean and bathrooms are tiled floor-to-ceiling and nice, but the bedroom portions remind one of spartan, college campus dormrooms: no carpet, no worthwhile decorations and singularly dark and depressing. The beds are not very comfortable and the linens are stiff and hospital-like. Speaking of college dorm conditions, the halls in the hotel leading to the rooms are as dark and dismal as you would expect from a college dormatory. The hotel seems uniquely designed to make guests feel depressed. Forget television as a positive diversion-- the screen on most airliners is bigger and has more channels you'd choose to watch. Room thermostat is there to make you think you have control yet it seems to control absolutely nothing in terms of temperature. Only fan speed can be controlled which, when it's only mildly cool air, is of little help. I guess management figure they know best when they set the room temperatures throughout the hotel to keep costs down. The food was good but the food service was generally poor. The hotel seems to be understaffed with regard to waiters and bartenders. With one exception, what staff was serving seemed to not want to be there. Bartenders were especially slow and seemed irritated to be serving. On the positive side the front desk personnel are very helpful with information. I could never determine if they had a dedicated person to assist guests, but even bellhops were helpful with basic questions. My cheeseburger was 16 Euros. Surprisingly, it was one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had. ...Still not enough to redeem the dismal, dark and depressing room conditons and lack of a television worthy of a hotel with so many stars.

Our flight was changed last minute and we needed a hotel in Rome for two additional days (we had already stayed in Rome for the first three days of our trip in the city center) this hotel was great because we didn't have to haul our luggage into the city. The hotel has a shuttle to the city every 2 hours. It was hard to find the hotel at first look for the over pass tunnel from the airport (toward the garage) and you will see a Hilton sign.

This hotel is exactly what you'd expect from an airport Hilton, maybe slightly less than you'd expect. The hotel is huge and commercial feeling, the staff does just what they need to, nothing more, the bedspreads are ugly and polyester, and the rooms are boring and bland. The upside was movies-on-demand, the downside was the TERRIBLE location. We stayed here on our way out of town so that we'd be near the airport for an early am flight, but there were Americans at the hotel who were actually visiting Rome! Be very clear... It is a 45 minute shuttle bus ride from the hotel to central Rome, and they only run every two hours, so if you miss a bus... Disaster! Don't stay here if you're in Rome as a tourist, but if you need a convenient airport location, it'll work.

The location is superb and it is a very nice hotel. However, the room rates and cost for additional ammenities is a complete rip-off. I would expect some ammenities to be included for the rate we paid. There is not a complimentary breakfast, or free internet, or anything. The rate charged for one hour of internet access is unbelievable. Food at the restaurant was also extremely expensive. I know that airports are always much more expensive, but the menu prices were so high it was actually entertaining to read. We did not eat at the restaurant, but rather took the train to Parco Leonardo (the "mall"), which is one stop away and takes five minutes. The only reason we stayed here was the location because we had to check in for our flight at 4AM.

We chose the Hilton because of its location at Fiumicino Airport but there is not a lot around there. Fortunately, there was room on their shuttle van or we would have had to take an elevator and several moving sidewalks to get to Terminal C and then would still have to take a shuttle to Terminal T5 for International flights. We ordered room service because the hotel restaurant choices were not great.

We were there only from 12:30 am to 4 am so did not have time to form much of an impression. The walway from the airport was very difficult and long; and the elevators did not work. I hope I do not have to stay there again, not because of the hotel but because of the airport, which is very confusing and not at all customer-friendly.

Clean, comfortable rooms, but simple in design considering price. Excellent food service, but no menu selections for dinner, other than buffet, which was highly overpriced (38 Euro/person) for common buffet food. Because it is the only hotel on Leonardo Da Vinci airport grounds, it is ideal for the travel weary person who dislikes expensive cab rides from surrounding hotels.

While this very corporate property was clean and near the airport, it might as well have been in St. Paul MN (sorry St. Paul) The whole deal with the food is a racquet...it's a fortune for what you're getting and the quality is substandard. You really feel like they are taking advantage of the fact that you can't go anywhere else.

The Hilton at the airport of Leonardo DaVinci airport relies on its convenient location for sucess. It is, in general, a very convenient solution to the traveler who has a very early flight to catch. It offers all the basic necessities and adds to that tennis courts, a pool, restuarant and bar. Everything at the restuarant is exhorbitantly overpriced and most basic services are as well. The jacuzzi is for some inexplicable reason connected to the cold water pool and is only a few unsatisfying degrees different in temperature. If you are looking for a place to stay for an early flight, this cannot be beat. If you are looking for value for your money, look elsewhere.

The hotel facilities are quite acceptable. The location requires about a 25 minute walk with luggage to get to the international departure area unless you plead for a courtesy car which is not always available. The cost of food in the "coffee shop" is way too high. A hamburger with french fries costs 16 euro or about $26 with service and taxes. It was nothing special.

It was as you'd expect for an American Hilton-type hotel. Modern, clean, standard amenities, etc. Food was mediocre at best and there is really nothing else around except the airport food. But if you're staying because you have an early morning flight, as we did, it is very close and they had a shuttle that brought us straight to the new terminal 5. It was certainly low stress, but we certainly paid for that.

The hotel is not conveniently located to the airport as advertised; the walkway between the airport and hotel is MUCH longer than anticipated(especially when carrying luggage), and we were misinformed by the hotel about the availability of a shuttle between the two facilities. Great location to the Rome airport. We stayed there because it had the covered, moving walkway to the airport and assumed we wouldn't have to deal with a taxi or shuttle. NOT TRUE if you are going to USA. When we asked at the desk if the moving walkway would take us to the terminal, they told us yes, but neglected to inform us that once there, you must take a very crowded shuttle bus to another terminal (it is NOT within walking distance) check in there, and then take a bus back to the main terminal. Make sure you allow plenty of time for these little unmentioned inconveniences.

The location is perfect and that is what you pay for, 100% American feeling hotel, with the type of lobby and rooms the americans are used to, as most European hotel rooms are very small. The price of the room and food are high, but its all about the location, right by the airport, and they have a bus that will take you into the city which is wonderful. But the day we were there, the bus driver let to many people onto the bus, he left us in there in the bus with no air conditioning, and it took the hotel administrator over 30 minutes to resolve what was a very uncomfortable situation in heat and angry patrons. Left a bad taste with us.
