Hotel Magenta Paris - París

I booked the hotel 4 days prior to arriving. We were seen to straight away, the front desk staff were very helpful, spoke good English and friendly. Our room was very clean and serviced daily. The breakfast was mainly continental, with a pleasant selection of choice. I would recommend this hotel, and if the occasion arises again, we would use there services.

This is a good hotel but a little away from some of the main attractions. This hotel was farther away from the main train station than posted but closer to another station with a similar name. Great complimentary breakfast buffet.

This was our second stay at Magenta, and I'm sure we'll return again. Firstly, it's located very close to Gare du Nord (10 min walk at most), and is only 2 minutes from an underground stop (Jacques Bonsergeant). Secondly, all the reception staff speak flawless English and are incredibly friendly and helpful. Thirdly, the rooms are modern, clean, well laid out and air conditioned. Fourthly, there is free wifi, plus free use of computers in reception. Fifthly, and perhaps most importantly, they do a superb breakfast which is just what you need before setting out sightseeing!

Ample breakfast to start the day. Although our room was on first floor at front of hotel, did not really notice noise from main road outside - was expecting it to be more noticeable. Staff very helpful on front desk, did try to use a little french but not problem. Good location for the Metro. Lift was not working when we arrived, but not a concern for us as only on 1st floor. Would have been an issue perhaps if on 5th floor though.

The hotel was okay, the room was small, but perfectly okay for one person. The bathroom was tiny, but fully functional. At check-in I asked for a quiet room and got one of the loudest. I repeatedly asked for another room but the otherwise pretty nice people at the reception refused to give me another one. After asking for the tenth time or so the offered me an upgrade to a different room for an additional $160 per night, which was way more than I paid for my room, so I declined. If you don't mind noise and stay alone the hotel offers pretty good value for the money (considering the hotel prices in Paris).

I thought a hotel right on Blvd Magenta up in station land would be horrible, but I was quite wrong. I had a nice room facing the courtyard at the back, and could have slept with the window open, it was so quiet. The bed was large and comfy. There was a good desk with free WiFi. Lights you could see by. Breakfast was good. The juice was tasty; always a good indication. Overall a good find.

Breakfast was excellent and free! Hotel staff knew the area and pointed me in the right direction. Room was small, but very clean. Internet wifi and in lobby on shared computer was quite convenient. I did hear some hallway noise but I am a very deep sleeper. Only prob elevator was broken but that meant I had the chance to walk off the croissants from lunch!

The hotel was very clean and close to the Gare du Nord train station. I stayed in a standard single room, which had a double bed in it, small but the typical European size hotel room. Conveniently near supermarkets and restaurants with a mini fridge in room. Very clean room, nice shower. Breakfast was so good I was full for hours! Fresh buffet of many choices. Internet available in wifi and in the downstairs lobby. Front desk spoke English and was efficient in directions. Lift was broken while I was there, but they were working on getting it fixed. If you are a light sleeper I recommend ear plugs, as you can hear hallway noise, but I am a deep sleeper and this didn't bother me. I never turned on the TV so I can't vouch for that. Great place for the price! I would stay there again next time I am in France.

Its very nice clean and comfortable and just 2 stops from Gare du Nord.

We were extremely impressed with the hotel's location; it is very close to the metro and is easy walking distance to restaurants and small food shops, yet the street was quiet at night and we felt very safe. We were also impressed by the friendliness and competence of the staff, who all spoke English quite well. The breakfast was wonderful and we especially appreciated that it had a wide range of foods and was buffet-style/all you care to eat. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean and inviting. There was a small refrigerator in our room which was perfect for storing cheese and yogurt for light snacks, which was a real money-saver for us, since we could buy such things in a corner grocer and not have to go out to eat for every meal. My one caution would be about the elevator/lift. There was only one and it wasn't the most reliable; this might be a problem for visitors with limited mobility. The elevator was scheduled for improvements just after our stay and so this may no longer be a problem in the future. Overall, an excellent value and a lovely place to stay. We will definitely come back again.

Super friendly staff; nice rooms; great breakfast, nice selection. Stand on the first guest floor and look up the staircase stairwell. It's a piece of art!

Great mix of breakfast options including hot and cold items. Pleasant and helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Great location - a short walk to shopping/restaurants in Place de la Republique, and transportation such as Gare de l'Est, and metro stops. Convenient self serve laundromat around the corner for long term travelers. Nice view from our 7th floor room overlooking the Paris skyline and the top of the Eiffel Tower.

Hotel Magenta is a great hotel for the price. The hotel is newly renovated and has a modern looking lobby. The lobby has three computers for guest use, and they are clean and fast. The lobby also has a luggage storage room for guests if they arrive before the check-in time or if guests check-out and want to explore the city. The employees at the reception desk spoke English and were very friendly and helpful. The cleaning maids, however, did not speak English and asking them for extra towels or tea was troublesome, but was not a problem if you pointed to what you needed. Also, the elevator took a little getting used to. I found out that if the elevator is currently being used, it will not accept any other commands. So if you press the up button in the lobby, but the elevator is in use, the button will not light up. Just wait a little bit and eventually it will work. When in the elevator and someone has already pressed a floor button, the elevator will not accept another floor until it reaches the first floor chosen. Overall, the elevator can be annoying, but it's not that big of an issue and you can always just take the stairs. The hotel has a large breakfast area in the basement. It is very nicely decorated and has two LCD flat screen TVs so that guests can watch the news. The food and drink offered for breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, a variety of cereals, croissants, bread, French rolls, yogurt, mixed fruit, butter, jam, several varieties of sweet pastries, milk, coffee, hot chocolate, tea, orange juice, and grapefruit juice. Also, the hotel can bring breakfast to your room free of charge, but you won't get scrambled eggs and sausage unless you go down to the breakfast room. Our room was on the fourth floor and had two twin beds and fit two people comfortably with 4 suitcases, although we couldn't keep them all open all the time. The room also included a wardrobe unit with a safe (free to use), a desk area, a refrigerator, and a LCD flat screen T

We picked this hotel mainly because it was affordable and was very central being nearby to the Metro and we were very impressed with the location and quality for the price we paid. We were less than 5 minutes walk from the Metro that took us to all nearby attractions in minutes and there were many restaurants and shops nearby. The room was very clean and had an enormous bed and a good shower. There was even a balcony we could enjoy the sites and sounds right out the window. The included breakfast was fantastic and always got our busy day off to a great staff. The food was delicious and plentiful, the only criticism I had was the French don't seem to fond of toast! Overall, we had a brilliant holiday and this hotel made our trip all the more worthwhile.

A very nice boutique hotel situated in convenient location (near the Eurostar Station). Reasonably priced and has good breakfast.

Very happy with this hotel - quiet rooms, friendly staff. Only 15 minutes walk from Gare du Nord and in walking distance from many of the attractions. The area surrounding the hotel is obviously not the best area though we had no trouble.

I transferred to the Hotel Magenta from the Holiday inn down the road.I was in Paris for work and thought I'd stay the weekend for pleasure so I needed a room paid for from my own pocket and could'nt justify staying at the Holiday Inn..Hotel Magenta is very clean has Wifi throughout the hotel...The rooms are a tad small though I was staying in a single..My only gripe is that the hotel lift/elevator takes an eternity to arrive..I have to say I am a very undemanding guest but the staff were helpful suppyling with me a travel adaptor...I didn't try the breakfast so could'nt comment on that

The Hotel is located in a good area and is very clean. The rooms are nice, quiet, with some overlooking the street. The staff could be a bit nicer and helpful, but overall it's a great place to stay for the money in Paris,

Good, clean hotel with excellent service. Breakfast buffet was nice, location was very good, just a few meters to nearest metro. Could need more lifts, most of the time we had to use stairs to get down.

Moderne, tøft, 3 mac'er til disposisjon gratis, resepsjonistene pratet veldig godt engelsk. Helt topp hotell! Passe stort hotell. Ungene stortrivdes, god frokost og gratis frokost på rommet. Rommene varierte på størrelse og var ikke så moderne, men rene og fine.

In generale davvero un buon albergo, la struttura si trova nel decimo distretto, quindi abbastanza centrale, inoltre a 50 m. dell'albergo vi è la fermata della linea 5 del metro J. Bonsergent da dove potete arrivare con gli scambi ovunque. L'albergo è dotato di cio che un turista ha bisogno inoltre la colazione a buffet è davvero ben assortita e di buona qualità e quantità. Potete usufruire di una bella postazione internet gratuita ed anche il collegamento wi fi è gratuito. La stanza, come tutte a Parigi, è piccolina ma moderna, pulita (cambio lenzuola e asciugamani quotidiano) è funzionale. La ns. camera a primo piano lato interno era assolutamente silenziosa. Che dire noi abbiamo prenotato l'albergo un po di tempo prima con pagamento anticipato quindi il prezzo sostenuto è stato davvero irrisorio. Consigliatissimo. Importante anche la possibilità del deposito bagagli free.

un hotel avec un acceuil impecable et trés serviable une chambre trés confortable, situé dans un quartier trés calme,un accés gratuit aux ordinateurs situé dans le hall disposant d'un connection internet gratuit tout comme le wifi dans les chambres. mais le point noir fut la clim qui ne fonctionné vraiment pas trés bien (mais un ventilateur d'apoint etait à disposition dans la chambre) et un monticule de poussiere sur les ridaux.

+ verkehrsgünstige Lage (Gare de l'est, Metro) + freundliches u. zuvorkommendes Personal + gutes Bett + Zimmer leise (nicht zur Straße) + sauberer, funktionierender Sanitärbereich + Kaffee/Tee per Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer -+ Zimmer klein, aber für Paris in dieser Kategorie normal - keine Gardrobe zusätzlich zum – allerdings luftigen – Schrank - Zimmersafe nicht aktiv Fühlte mich gut und komme gern wieder!

Rent och snyggt Holet, bra städning , god frukost utmärkt service. Trevlig personal. Ett Hotel jag gärna rekommenderar till andra.

We got a small noicy room to the street and with poor A/C The room was clean, the staff extremely helpful, the breakfast good (coffee not). When the elevator brooke we had to climp the stairts, which was in a very bad condition and have seen no vacuum cleaner for weeks. Very convenient situated to the Metro an Gare du Nord

Das Hotel liegt zentral. Metro ist ziemlich nah am Hotel. Frühstück für französische Verhältnisse gut. Zimmer ziemlich klein und trotz Klimaanlage immer zu warm. Das Hotel ist ok, für einen kurzen Aufenthalt.

Prima hotel

Les chambres sont un peu petite, mais c'est normal pour Paris. Très bon accueil. Excellent petit-déjeuner (un véritable buffet qui conviendra à ceux comme moins qui ne prennent pas de tartine confiture). Internet gratuit est aussi un plus +++.

La chambre est un peu petite, mais c'est la seule remaraque car à côté de cela il n'y a aucune mauvaise remarque. L'hotel est bien situé et d'une excellente qualité. Le petit déjeuner est très bien. Un véritable buffet pas uniquement pain confiture, mais aussi style américain. J'y retourne lors de mon passge sur Paris.

Prima hotel in de driesterrenklasse. Standaard tweepersoonskamer (en bed) is klein maar schoon. Prima als je het hotel alleen als overnachtingsplek gebruikt. Ontbijt was voor Franse begrippen zeer uitgebreid. Hotel ligt zeer centraal, twee metrohaltes van Gare du Nord en een metrostation op 100 meter.

La chambre est géniale, le petit déjeuner est très varié, il y en a pour tout le monde. L'accueil est excellent, les gens vous aident facilement pour vous retrouver dans Paris. Seul bémol : l'ascenseur un peu lent et un peu de bruit avec l'aération. Mais cela disparaît très vite avec les boules quies. La chambre est très agréable et très confortable.

Trevligt hotell på gångavstånd från Gar du Nord. Bra utgångspunkt för att utforska Paris. Hjälpsam och trevlig personal. Fanns fri tillgång till Internet vid reception, som verkade vara uppskattat hos många gäster.

Sauber, gutes Buffet. Zimmer leider nur Aussicht auf Hauswand, was aber in Paris oft der Fall ist. Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Werde wiederkommen

Très bon hotel près des gares du nord et de l'est. Toutest presque parfait, si je doit doit faire un petit reproche, c'est l'isolation phonique vis à vis de l'extérieur. Très bon rapport qualité/prix.

De kamers zijn prima. De bedden liggen goed. De kamers worden iedere dag schoongemaakt. De ontbijtruimte is ongezellig maar het ontbijt maakt alles goed.
