The hotel is beautiful with breathtaking views of the water, a fantastic breakfast buffet and helpful staff. Our room was a good size, and the nose level was very low at night (a definite plus for us). Our only complaint was with the air conditioning, which functioned poorly during 2 of our 3 nights there. They fixed it after our 1st night there, and it was just fine, but by the 3rd night, it wasn't working well once again. I have to say, though that this hotel is a great value and a wonderful place. You can enjoy a great buffet breakfast out on the balcony overlooking the pool and the Mediterranean. What's better than that!

The hotel per se was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, airconditioned and met all our needs. Food at half-board buffet was excellent, and drinks reasonably priced. Pool area very good. Palma easily accessible by Bus (No 3), being a 20 min bus ride away. Only point of note is that the area the hotel is in, Iletas, is VERY quiet. There were no nearby bars to go to in the evening for a post-dinner drink, and the hotel bar was was virtually deserted with no atmosphere. It will suit those looking for a quiet holiday, or those prepared to get the bus into Palma in the evening, but bear this in mind.

Having visited Majorca many times previously I was not familiar with this area until my recent visit. I was aiming to be near Palma, and Illetas is a comfortable travelling distance either by car or the local bus which stops outside the hotel Albatross.The hotel maintains the usual high standard to be found in Barcelo hotels, with the added bonus of being smaller and more personal than I have experienced in the past. The facilities promised in the advertisment are all there to enjoy. The location of the hotel is certainly up market with none of the tourist trappings of other resorts. I am somewhat reluctant to write this review as I dont want to attract crowds to this hotel as I intend returning.

hotel had great customer service. had computer access in lobby. location was a bit isolated however bus stop was just across the street. great bar just across the street. only problem was we were on the 5th floor and 2 out of the 4 days we were there the elevator was out of service. luckily they had a smaller elevator that we had to utilize when bringing our luggage down to check out one at a time. since we were there during off season the outdoor jacuzzi hot tub was not on, and the indoor one was not hot enough (water was just warm) other than that, we had a great time. would definately stay here again.

our a/c did not work and we did not receive the wake up calls we requested.

Wow.... great hotel, lovely staff (nothing was too much trouble)... would definitely recommend it. The swimming pool area was perfection, just jutting out over the sea....an idyllic break with great weather (which also helps !!)

Good location close to Palma but far enough away from Magaluf. Great pool area.

We were really surprised with the hotel, especially for the price we paid. Was better than expected. The outside pool and bar was fab and when the weather wasn't so great they have a heated indoor pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast was lovely with everything you could want including fresh fruit and eggs or omlette cooked to order. The only thing I'd say was the location wasn't great, only a couple of little bars and resturants around. But it cost 9 euro each way for taxi into Palma Nova where there are lots of bars and restuarants at all price levels and 15 euro taxi to Palma, or take the bus which stops virtually outside the hotel.

we enjoyed our stay and found the hotel a decent place to decompress; being just 15 min ride from dusty and overcrowded Palma it was unexpectedly clean, quiet and hospital; great views, 5 min walk from a public sand beach, ok stone beach of its own. nice Turkish spa and heated pool and a few very good restaurants in a neighborhood.

Quiet location with easy access to Palma, excellent food, Friendly staff. Ideal get away break, would recommend 100% We will be going back!

we enjoyed our stay and cant wait to go back. Good bus service outside hotel. Only complaint is that our room overlooked bottle bank which was emptied at 6 o clock in the morning - very noisy

Booked at last minute with 10% discount on cost. Obviously applied to less dsirable rooms, suggested by the first floor room with a balcony almost in the adjacent car park. In addition the plaster on the wall at the door was in need of repair and the carpet badly stained, probably overdue replacement. However when I did request a change of room the staff were very helpful and did offer a much more attractive third floor room with at least a glimmer of a sea view. Bar and restaurant service was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was reasonable but dinner tends to follow the usual euro-bland assortment of dishes. I do appreciate that different tastes and nationalities have to be catered for and in this regard this hotel is certainly no worse than any other I have stayed in the Balearics. There is lovely pool area with a small pebble beach. The gym has three items of equipment only and could not be recommended to any serious fitness enthousiast. A convenient bus to Palma stops outside the hotel every eight minutes and makes this an excellent base to explore the city of Palma. Finding a good restaurant locally is difficult unless you are prepared to travel at least a few miles by bus. This is a reasonable hotel with acceptable food and ammenities but I would recommend the north-west of the island to appreciate the best aspects of Mallorca

Good hotel, good buffets both breakfast and dinner. Nothing excellent but good. Beware, do not eat of everything because afterwards (ie after 4 plates) you will fell very full in your stomic :) Nice pool area Good location Typical 4-star hotel, nothing excellent, but everything is good

Et ganske udemærket hotel med fin service og utrolig god rengøring. I restauranten er der kun buffet, både morgen og aften, men den er tilgengæld utrolig god, der mangler intet. Fittnes er kun for motionister, der er tre maskiner og det er ikke professionelt udstyr. Der er kun en trappe fra klipperne til vandet og der er rigtig MANGE søpindsvin, hvilket der desværre ikke bliver gjort opmærksom på. Privat strand er blot en meget lille bugt i klipperne, som også benyttes af andre end hotellets gæster, men der findes en offentlig sandstrand lidt syd for hotellet. Er man til fred, ro og ren afslapning, er det et perfekt hotel, men ønsker man butikker, restauranter og underholdning, skal man tage væk fra Illetes.

Although only pebbled beach on the hotel, this hotel erves perfect for vacation with family. Great pool area, good food, and superb connections into Palma city and very close to real azur beaches. Best of all is the helpful staff and management. Ask for room above third floor to get great see view.

Mkt bra pool omr med spa inomhus, halvpension rekomenderas mkt prisvärd, har bott här tidigare och kommer att återkomma. Ända minuset är att maddrasserna är slitna.

God beliggenhed, fred og ro (ihvertfald uden for sæsonen i april måned.) Pænt og rent , og god morgenmad.

Hotel a 15min en bus de palma. Piscine exterieur sympa. Malheureusement, clim en panne pendant le sejour !!! Personnel aimable (sauf un ou deux... mais passons)

Vi reiser gjerne tilbake til Barcelo Albatros. Det største problemet var vel faktisk å finne stedet – litt kronglete, eller kanskje var vi bare helt på jordet selv. Hotellet hadde en strålende beliggenhet, og med flotte uteområder og bassenger. Dessuten hadde hotellet en svært bra buffet-frokost.

When we arrived to stay for the weekend, our room had been sold to others who probably had booked for the entire week. They offered us another hotel nearby, telling us this hotel was better than theirs. We found it to be older and in worse shape. Extremely disappointing. Stay away!

Mooi hotel met gastvrij en sympathiek personeel. Schoon en comfortabel. Niet ver van Palma gelegen, en een uitstekende busverbinding.
