AC Avenida de America - Madrid

This is one of the better places to stay in Madrid. It is in an actual neighborhood, with only a couple hotels nearby. plenty of smaller restaurants to eat at, 3 grocery stores, and many atms. Located near the Cartagena station, it is one stop from the large Avenidas de Americas station. We did not eat at the restaurant, it seemed expensive. also, there are no ice machines in the hotel, you need to ask the front desk for an ice bucket. I would stay there again for sure.

The hotel is nicely decorated. It is modern and clean, with good service. It is not centrally located, however, it is reasonably close to the city center. Raul Los Angeles, CA

I was going to Spain on a Budget and after trying to book in Hotels near the center that were really expensive I just end on AC America. To my surprise it was more by far than what I expected! The lobby is very stylish and the staff is very educated and friendly. The rooms are neat and the bathroom has a REAL Big, Hair Dryer. Another surprise, is that the minibar is FREE! You feel as if you were in a 4 stars hotel in the USA. Near the hotel you will find a farmacy, and places to eat. The train station is just 1 minute of the Hotel, and it will get you to the tourist places in just 15 minutes. The also take you to airport for free on weekdays.

The AC Avenida de America is a terrific hotel, especially for the price. The room was beautiful, with very comfortable beds and pillows. The free mini-bar is a nice touch (bottled water, soda and beer). Free Spanish newspapers were available. We did not utilize the restaurant. The staff is very friendly, though they do not speak much English. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet, with the Cartagena Metro station a very short walk away. You can be in Central Madrid within 10 minutes via Metro and you can walk to the Bull-fighting ring in about 15 minutes. I highly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was awful. the staff was incredibly rude, and the location was in a bad area that was very far from central madrid. the room was very unclean. they also claim they have a shuttle, but the shuttle doesnt run on the weekends. i would never stay here again and would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was better than expected. Given the inexpensive rate we got, we were thinking we would get a very modest hotel. The hotel actually was very modern and very conveniently located to restaurants, shops and transportation. I was not in the center of town, but within 10 minutes by metro. the rooms were absolutely comfortable and service was right on. We recommend it totally

Kan klart anbefale dette hotel. Meget lækker morgenmadsbuffé. Flot værelse m. badekar. Stilet lobby og restaurant.

Perfecte service, erg goede beheersing van de Engelse taal, diner via room service was erg goed. Enig minpuntje was het ontbreken van een goede (Engelstalige) handleiding voor de wireless service, aangezien de web interface daarvan alleen in het Spaans werd aangeboden. Er was ook een fout met de reservering gemaakt maar dat werd allemaal keurig en snel opgelost.
