sobre value="10""Good hotel though a bit far from sights"
Comentado por Patti, deCalifornia, el oct 9, 2007
The Jolly Villa Carpegna is clean, comfortable, welcoming, and has a delicious full breakfast. Romano, at reception, is warm, engaging, and very professional. The only difficulty is that the hotel is far from sights so you will need a cab to most places unless you are very fit and happy to walk a few miles before reaching any of the main attractions. We would NOT recommend the day tours with Appian Lines that are offered at this hotel. Though the actual guides are very good, the tour is organized by many assistants who were extremely unorganized and unprofessional in both appearance and communication. The tours were not worth the cost.

sobre value="10""Very nice hotel."
Comentado por Jonathan, deBaton Rouge, Louisiana, el may 28, 2007
Hotel was modern, clean, AC, etc. Staff very tourist friendly and helpful. Free breakfast buffet was expansive. Very easy to get to all the sights on one or two bus lines that run right by the Vatican, Coliseum, and the Forum. The Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain can be reached by changing to the Metro from the bus. We bought the week transportation ticket CIS (Carte Integrale Settimanale), which was good on all buses and Metro. You just validate it the first time you use it and then hop on any bus or metro for a whole week. Made it very easy to get around. There is also a three day version of this ticket. (Buy them at the tabbaco shop in the piazza by the hotel BEFORE getting on the bus. You cannot buy tickets on the bus.) There is always a chance of pickpockets on the public transportation -- specially in tourist areas -- so wear a money belt or pouch under your clothes with your passport, credit cards, cash, etc. Keeping your wallet in your back pocket is asking for trouble.

Comentado por Oso, dePayson, Arizona, el may 19, 2007
Had a great stay in Rome. All of the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was a great plus. Rooms very comfortable. Double check your booking, we ended up in a room with an extra bed and we didn't need it. Locality not bad if you can figure out the bus system.

Comentado por coopdeville, denew york city, el may 17, 2007
we had an overnight stay in rome on the way to the amalfi coast and decided to stay at this hotel because the pool was nice and we knew it would be hot in rome. it was hot in rome, but the pool was not in service unfortunately and this was mid may. needless to say we were very disappointed. outside of that we stayed in the area because it was close to the vatican city. It is actually pretty close - about a 15 minute walk or a 10-20 euro cab ride (depending where you are in the city and the time of night).

Comentado por Jay Ward, deLas Vegas, el may 3, 2007
The hotel appearance was outstanding. Very clean, and very beautiful on the inside and out. It was close (10 min. cab ride) to most of the major areas in Rome. However, the staff were unprofessional and downright rude. They didn't seem to care about customer service with the exception of one of the bartenders and the housekeeping staff. I wouldn't recommend this hotel based on the poor customer service.

Hotel is clean and has a nice breakfast. Hotel staff is not very friendly. It seems as though they might work really long shifts and are very grouchy in the morning.

sobre value="10""Not Tourist Friendly!"
Comentado por Tina, deSan Diego, CA, el dic 4, 2006
Everyone at the front desk, hotel operator, and restaurant staff seemed to be irritated with tourist type questions. From everything such as getting tickets to attractions, understanding transportation, or trying to dial out of the room. We spent three nights there, and the service never got friendly.
