I've stayed in several awful Paris hotels, and I'm excited to have found this hotel that's actually wonderful. The room was very nice, and the windows did an amazingjob insulating us from the noise of the busy street below. The staff spoke great English, were friendly and gave helpful tips and advice about the surrounding area. You couldn't be closer to the metro, and you just won't find a better hotel (for the price) in Paris!

This is a little gem of a hotel situated right across the road from a metro stop. The rooms are small but well equipped with fridges and safes. The staff were helpful, the complimentary toileteries were excellent and the room had a lovely juliette balcony. There are also some nice, good value restaurants in the vicinity. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was very comfortable. The room was a decent size and the bathroom was normal size(which in Paris is Awesome). Getting around was quite a fun adventure as you're not really that close to any tourist attractions. The train station is accross the street so easy access to all of Paris. The neighborhood was super french and very close by their is a street market that has really great food. I loved staying here, we felt like we were in a real french neighborhood and not a tourist.

Metro is just across the street, and RER to the airport at the end of the block, making transport easy. Triple room is spacious with extra large bath. TV only had four channels, but I suspect it just was not programmed right. Noisy on street side with windows open, so you have to close windows (which block almost all sound) and use AC instead (or ask for a room to the back). Safe neighborhood.

Great location - across the street from a Metro station (Mouton Duvernet) and a few minute walking distance to Denfert Rochereau, an RER station that will take you directly to CDG airport. The staff is very helpful and friendly. My advice is that "large" people may want to look elsewhere for this hotel as the rooms are somewhat of a tight fit, which I've heard is rather typical in Paris. One of the toilets was a very tight squeeze but since our family isn't that "large", we were okay with it. Other than that, we were very happy with the hotel.

Our family of six travelers found The Best Western Nouvel Orleans to be convenient, clean, and comfortable. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. Although breakfast is not included in the cost,it is worth the extra for the convenience of a nice breakfast at the hotel before leaving on the day's activities. The Metro station, located right across the street, gives easy access to getting around town. Neighborhood restaurants are great. A hair salon located nearby was a plus to me. The hotel has a computer in the lobby but it is operated by coins.

Hotel is literally across the street from Mouton metro stop, which is on the number 4 line. Very easy to connect to RER B, which takes you straight to CDG Airport as well as the number 1 line that goes to all the tourist sites. My wife and I had two different rooms. The first had a "coffin" shower that is common in Europe. The second one was larger; we requested a tub and were pleased with the quick service and change. Very clean room, quiet enough, and decently comfortable bed. Windows opened and were large. Area had a Starbucks and Monoprix with some late night cafes and banks. Have to pay for internet and breakfast. Not sure what they serve at breakfast because it was 9 euros per person and with the local cafes and Monoprix, it seemed a bit much. Internet downstairs was convenient and cost 10 cents per minute. Stay here if you like being a little removed from the scene but having a clean comfortable room that is very convenient for getting around the city.

During my trip I was constantly trying to speak to my brother, who was also in France for a study abroad program. We continously missed each other calls. The hotel staff took notes and gave me messages each time I arrived back to the hotel. As well, any time we had a question answered it to the best of their knowledge, and if the didnt did not know the answer to somthing they found out for us as soon as they could. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in the Latin Quarter area. And if the hotel staff can read this, thank you all very much for everything.

Just got back from spending 9 nights at Nouvel Orleans hotel. Very clean, quiet, comfortable room. Great location. A Metro stop across the street, 15 minutes from any attraction in Paris.. A wonderful street market on Rue Daguerre, several good cafes and bakeries, a McDonald's and a Starbucks, all within a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Nice residential non tourist area. I recommend Cafe Daguerre for happy hour(yes they have happy hours in Paris) and lunch or dinner and Jardins Contini for their great pizza, both minutes walk from the hotel. The room was small and the bathroom was tiny! It may have had the world’s smallest shower. We were on the first floor facing the main street. The street noise was not a problem if the windows were closed. However, if the windows were open, it was very noisy even late at night. Our air conditioning unit did not work and made quite a bit of noise even when turned off. The front desk staff was helpful and spoke English. The hotel is conveniently located near two metro stops – Mouton Duvernet on Metro Line 4 and Denfert Rocherereau on Metro Line 4, 6, and RER B. The metro allows easy access to the airport and all the city sites. The hotel was a further out from the city center then we expected. The surrounding neighborhood has several cute restaurants and bakeries. We usually stopped by one of the bakeries for breakfast on our way into the city. We did eat breakfast at the hotel one morning. It wasn’t anything special for 10 Euro a person. The bakeries offer a much wider and fresher assortment of pastries. All in all, just OK. We will probably look for a different hotel for our next trip to Paris.

The hotel is right across the street from the Line 4 Metro station and 5 minutes walk from RER station. It was really convenient to get from the Eurostar station (40 minutes), to the Paris city center (15-20 minutes) and to the Airport(50 minutes) without using a taxi. The neighborhood is not very touristy and considered a good part of Paris. This hotel was recently renovated and clean. We stayed at the triple room and the room and bathroom were pretty spacious. They had soup, shampoos and lotions for the guest which is uncommon for Paris. Our friends, however stayed at the double room and it was very small. Their bathroom was so tiny, it's hard to describe. Overall, for our family it was very good choice of hotel for the money. Two best things about it are clean and very conveniently located.

Well mannered but did not go out of their way to look after us. We found that internet was not working & told it would not be working until September. Internet access was an important criteria for us & it was treated rather off handly. Our tea bags & milk had to be requested both nights we stayed & did not get all that we asked for 2nd time. We did not stay in for breakfast as we were looking for something a bit more substantial which we got not far away for a lesser cost. There were cafes not far away for dinner. It took a little while to find as a longer walk than anticipated from RER. Room & bathroom were nicely appointed & hotel reasonably quiet & room not too squashy for 3 adults to share, bathroom good size.

But if space is an issue for you, then it's a no go. The bathrooms were very clean though the shower was ridiculously small. The staff were extremely courteous and the breakfast was really great. If you have more than a couple of croissants and a single café au lait, I recommend the breakfast highly. My room was away from the street, so it was nice and quiet. I opened up the window and some cigarette smoke filtered in (must be the smokers' terrace down below). My room was fairly big by Parisian standards and the bathroom was spotless. The shower was a bit tight, which could pose problems for larger clients. Super location--if you come out of the right metro stop, you are right across the street from the hotel. Linking up to the RER B line to CDG was a bit more of a challenge because of the way the station is laid out (I had lots of stairs); maybe going on the surface to the ticket station would be easier, but it's only a guess. Rue Daguerre is nearby--it's a quaint little pedestrian street with some fun little markets. The cheese shop will vacuum pack, too.

I have stayed in Paris before at the Hilton Hotel for an amazing price for onw night and the location was fantastic. Now with this hotel the room was tiny, compared to the Hilton, and more expensive. However, the room was very clean, the location was a little on the outer skirts of Paris. I do not think the noise was terrible like I had read on the ratings of other people but maybe it was because we were almost on the top floor. The concergie was really nice. The subway was almost infront of the hotel so that was good. There as a supermarket really close (Monoprix) and it had lots of nearby cafe. Overall the experience wasn't bad at all maybe I'm just comparing it too much with the Hilton when stayed in February 2006. I would recommend the hotel to my friends, especially for the cleanliness. However, no more than two persons can ride on the elevator (lift) because its very tiny.
