I was pretty pleased with the decore and character of the hotel. However, my room had an odor that implied that it was once a smoking room. I found that my clothes smelled of it after I left. The bed was a bit too firm but the overall room was nice. The breakfast in the morning was quite wonderful!

Have stayed at this hotel once before, this time in the Lodge. Very nice room only complaint is having the central heating boilers firing up all night in a cupboard in the room. Would stay again as room good, breakfast good, in good position for town centre.

ideal location for the murrayfield stadium. My daughter and i stayed here for the rugby league magic weekend. Near to Haymarket and Edinburgh city centre and great atmosphere in the hotel bar on both days. We stayed in the lodge and found the rooms to be a little small but very clean. My only complaint is that the breakfast was a little rushed on both mornings. We were not given time to finish our cereal before the cooked breakfast came along and we found ourselves holding our cereal above our breakfast and rushing this so the hot breakfast didn't go cold. Other than this we had a very pleasant stay.

My sister and I stayed here overnight s we had an early morning flight out of Edinburgh airport. We were going on our first cruise holiday to the Med. We were very unhappy with the lay-out of the building, our room was 2 buildings away from reception. We requested an early alarm call for 4.15.am which we did not receive, we also ordered a taxi to the airport at 5.30.am which did not appear. We had to walk to reception int he middle of the night - no answer to the door, no access to reception at all. This was a very unhappy experience. But for our own initiative, we would have missed our flight and cruise as a result of this hotel's negligence.

Worth the wait!! everything thing about the hotel was fantastic I'll go back again .

We checked in close to midnight and the room was freezing cold. Had to turn the heater on and it finally felt warm the next day. There was a nice looking shower-bath. Looked forward to a nice bath after a long day out in the cold. However when it came to take a bath at 23 pm, only luke warm water. The road in front of the hotel was under some repair, the entrance hall was under repair, so a big mess. There was a pub/restaurant adjacent to the entrance hall which did not make a good impression of the entrance neither. The receptionist did not explain what I was signing and I did not get the final details of what I will be paying for our stay, so I did not have a good impression at all of the hotel.

Our second stay in the Murrayfield Lodge. This time we were located in the annex, two doors down the road, having stayed in the main building previous. The receptionist was very welcoming on arrival. Our room quality was of excellent standard, clean, a good size with modern facilities. Breakfast was enjoyable, filling, with plenty of choice. My only quibble is that the service at breakfast seemed a little sullen. I hate over-attentive bright sunshine smiley teeth in the morning, but equally I felt as if I wasn't really that welcome.

Made to feel very welcome from the first moment that we stepped into the hotel. The food was also very good. Both my husband and I work in the catering bussiness and found the hotel and service to a high standard overall

hotel was great. it was clean, and the staff was very nice.

Ideal for the rugby Murrayfield stadium across the road. Staff extremely polite and helpful. Hotel is a bit dated and could do with a lick of paint, but it was very clean. Bit noisy in the front due to no double glazing.

quick and friendly check in, room was small but cosy and very clean, bar meal was excellent value and a good breakfast was served by cheery waitress in the bright and airy dining room.

We had a room at the top of the hotel. Room was very comfortable, quiet and great bus links. Great value in Edinbugh. 10 mins from City centre on bus and bout 15-20mins from the airport. If went to Edinburgh would stay here again.

j'y retournerai sans hésiter : l'hotel, le personnel sont agréables. j'ai vraiment apprécier mon séjour dans cet hotel.

Hade ett 2-bäddsrum, det blev mycket trångt med vårt bagage, Vi hade en väska + golfbag/ var. För övrigt mycket bra service och omtanke, god mat. Gärna en gång till.

Goed verzorgde, nette kamer. Service was goed. Gerechten op de (beperkte) kaart van prima kwaliteit. Centrum van de stad prima bereikbaar vanuit het hotel (om de 10 min een bus). Prima bereikbaar vanaf het vliegveld (ook om de 10 min. een bus). Ook deze bus stopt vlak bij het hotel.

Ett hotell utöver det vanliga, vi var jättenöjda.

Bon confort, propre, très facile d'accès de l'aéroport (à quelques mètres de l'arrêt!). très bon petit déjeuner écossais. A 10mn du centre par les bus (il y en a 3 qui passent devant souvent et à toute heure)

Hotelliegt sehr günstig zur Stadtmitte hin aber auch mit klarer Anbindung zum Flughafen. Das Personal ist sehr entgegenkommend und hilfsbereit, es wird einem eigentlich jeder Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen. Die Gasträume und das dortige Angebot sind gut, Parken ist günstig am Haus, unser Zimmer war in Ordnung. Wir haben gut geschlafen, hörten jedoch vor dem Einschlafen und etwa ab 6 Uhr den Straßenlärm. Für die gute Betreuung war der Preis günstig, deswegen ist es durchaus angebracht , bei Kleinigkeiten ein Auge zuzudrücken. Wahrscheinlich gingen wir wieder hin
