The room left a lot to be desired. A constant bad smell permeated the room from the shower

The hotel rate was very inexpensive and I suppose you get what you pay for to a degree. However, the room was extremely dirty and there was mold on the shower curtain. It did have cable TV and a good location (however, it's impossible to have a bad location in Amsterdam). Overall, I was not impressed with the hotel, and I would not recommend it to anybody. I certainly won't be staying there my next visit.

Positives: Excellent location, quiet & safe neighborhood. All of the sites are within walking distance of hotel. Negatives: No A/C, Not good during record high temperatures in July. No Elevator. The shower floods the bathroom floor evrytime you take a shower because there is no ridge to stop the water from flowing towards the toilet and sink.

Well were should i start, far form everything no public transportation near by, the hotel is dark. Be ready for some of the most steep stair i have ever seen. our room was on 5 th fl. no elevator, the room was dirty. the bathroom small i was afraid to touch towels or take a shower. I was there with my daughter mirrors on the ceiling what is wrong with that picture. 3am one night i though some had broken into room but no the walls paper thin. the only good i can say came to the room give my wake up call.the hotel is close to red light district,

This is a two star hotel. As such, one shouldn't expect anything spectacular. The hotel itself is in need of renovation with noticable stains on the carpeting, the wallpaper peeling off the walls, and a rather funky smell throughout. There are no elevators, and you'll need to manoeuver your bags up some really narrow stairs. The remote control for the TV is literally chained to the wall so that you can't loose it. The most disappointing part was actually the bed. The matress was only about 3 or 4 inches thick and provided no support. It was like sleeping on a concrete slab as there was no box spring. Still, if you need a cheap room in Amsterdam, I would probably recommend this place. As long as you know what you're getting yourself into, you'll be OK.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Generally a good location to access anything in Amsterdam. Rooms are small and stairs are steep, but remember, this is a canal house.

Room was kind of small, but it did the job. Good location though. 5 min. walking distance from Red Light district. Short taxi ride or walk from central station.

I would never stay in this hotel again. I felt the bedspread was dirty (one bed didn't even have a bedspread on it) and I didn't even want to put my luggage on the bed. Good things about the hotel: never ran out of hot water, the toilet always flushed and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. We stayed there 3 nights and could not get my hair dryer to work with the adapters that I brought so on the last day, I borrowed a hair dryer from the hotel only to find out that the outlet in our bathroom did not work. Note: our room was on the top floor (6th or 7th floor - I kept losing count) and there was no lift (which I knew ahead of time); just didn't realize that my room would be on the top floor.

Basic hotel, well situated in an old converted canal house. Not suitable for the less mobile as stairs very narrow and steep. No lift and no fire escape. Staff very helpful. Great for use as a base but not if you are looking for luxury accomodation. Would use it again.

In typical Amsterdam packhouse, so steep, narrow stairs and no elevator. Room was small but very clean and everything needed. Neighborhood was quit, but not located on the Rembrandt Plein, several blocks to the east.

Up four flights of narrow stairs - no elevator. The room, including the pillows on the bed smelled like an ashtray - disgusting. And I had asked for a non-smoking room. Would not stay again unless assured I had a non-smoking room and it was no more than one flight up.

very very dirty hotel. this hotel is like a squat where you would expect to find tramps . the room i stayed in was so brook down and dirty i slept in my clothes nothing worked . im telling you please dont go there if your with the wife

hotel is in a great location. Friendly staff. need to press a buzzer before you can go to your room from reception which limits the freedom a little. good security measure on the other hand. have been there about 4/5 times. Definatly recomend, not luxury but enough for a couple of days.

Leave your shoes on and bring slippers. No elevator and our room was on the 4th floor. Sheets were not changed and the towels looked like they should have been discarded long ago. Nice lobby and bar...but who cares!

Tiny room. Clean. It got the job done. Chose hotel mainly because of location. Discovered the hotel.com price was really no savings.

I know, I know, I'm in Europe and the rooms need to be small to give you that European feel. But this room was about as small as a closet. I know, this was the first time that I travel alone an got a single room, but please. Lets not forget about the 5th floor walkup. Other than that the Location was great. On a canal, near lots of bars and resturants. Hey it was Amsterdam.

Meget sentralt og stemningsfull beliggenhet i gracht-strøket i Amsterdam. Gangavstand til det meste - ca.20 min.gange til Centraal Station. Intimt, sjarmerende hotell i typisk høyt smalhus. Små intime rom med mange speil og bad. Noe hard madrass og høye puter, men går for en langhelg. Fint når alene eller venner/kjærester på tur. Anbefales! (spesielt for beliggenhet)

Vi bor på många olika hotel varje år, detta var ett av dom sämsta hotel jag har bott på. vi hade två rum, båda rummen luktade mögel städningen var obefintlig fyra våningar upp med smala trappor utan hiss, och tunga resväskor

Et Hotel placeret lige i midten af Amsterdam. Hotellet ligger lige ned til en af de mange kanaler der findes i Amsterdam. Det er et rigtig charmerende område som kan anbefales. Hotel Rembrandplein er et lille Hotel , som er meget slidt. Værelserne er små og badeværelset er mikroskopisk. Servicen i receptionen er ok.

Bij aankomst hing er een brief van de deurwaarder op het raam dat vandaag 23 augustus 2009 de inboedel van het hotel geveild gaat worden. Geen leuke binnenkomer. De kamer was vies , oud en verwaarloosd.Badkamer stonk zo dat we er geen gebruik van durfden maken.

Det luktet mugg på badet og rommet var svært trangt. Grei betjening, særdeles enkel frokost.

Vi ble litt skuffet når vi ankom hotellet og fikk se rommet. Det var mindre enn forventet, luktet innestengt og senga var veldig hard. Det var ikke mulighet for å lufte, og hvis ikke gardinene var for ble det badstu ved sol. Det må sies at vi synes hotellet lå kjempefint til i en stille gate, som allikevel var veldig sentralt og lett å ha som utgangspunkt uansett hvor vi skulle. Alt i alt hadde vi et hyggelig opphold.

Ett typisk kanalhus i de äldre delarna av Amsterdam med ett bra läge för den som gillar lugn och ro men närhet till centrum. Positivt: -Läget, -Huset, -Inredning (Om man gillar heltäckningsmattor, mörk trä, silvertrådar i tapeterna samt MÅNGA speglar i både tak och golv runt och ovanför sängen). Negativt: - Försenad check-in. Vår incheckning fördröjdes av att receptionisten inte fick tag på städaren för att kunna verifiera att vårt rum var klart. Själv tycker man ju att enklast hade varit att öppna och titta efter. I stället erbjöds vi ett annat rum med enkelsängar under förutsättning att vi bytte rum igen dagen efter. Detta tackade vi nej till, och därför fick vi vänta i 3 timmar. Enda kompensationen var en liten burk öl i hotellbaren eftersom vi bad om det själva. - Sängen. En rent ut sagt bedrövlig dubbelsäng som mer kan liknas vid en träbrits. Madrassen var totalt sönderlegad, och stelhet och ömhet i rygg drabbade oss båda. Dagen efter bad vi att få en annan madrass. Då detta inte fanns fick vi två 90cm-madrasser som vi lade under den stora. Detta gjorde sängen en aning mjukare, dock fortfarande totalt skålformad. - Frukosten. Den Icke-inkluderade frukosten på hotellet kostade ca 8 euro, och denna tänkte vi äta första mogonen. Vi kom 50 minuter innan frukostens slut, och fann ENDAST 3 svettiga ostskivor och 4 skinkbitar. Inget varmt typ ägg o bacon, ingen fil, inga flingor. Inte mycket till frukostbuffé. Åtminstone inte för 8 euro.

Fin beliggenhed, men mørkt og slidt. Ikke for gangbesværede. Vil nok finde et andet hotel næste gang turen går til Amsterdam.

Smutsiga rum. Fönster gick inte att öppna. Kuddar mögliga. Rökigt och inpyrt rum. Smutsig heltäckningsmatta. Dålig frukost. Det saknades smör. Sista morgonen fick vi ingen frukost alls. Smala trappor och ingen hiss. Detta hotell skall inte hyra ut några rum alls. STÄNG HOTELLET ISTÄLLET!!!

Problème d' intendance. Pas de possibilité de prendre un petit déjeuner à l'hotel sauf le 2éme jour. Nous n'avions pas été prévenu de cet inconvénient du au fait du manque de client à l'hotel. D'autre part la petite salle de bain de la chambre était tout à fait moyenne avec une chasse d'eau qui ne fonctionnait pas bien du tout

Hotel avec situation idéale, au calme mais trés prés du red light district, de damsplein, rambrantplein et leidsplein pour faire la fête! par contre accueil des plus glacials, chambre trés petites, relativement propres mais ménages pas toujours fait ! Si vous êtes trés à cheval sur la propreté passez votre chemin, sinon pour le prix, l'hotel est trés correct !

Hotellet har suveren beliggenhet. Rommet var i 5 etasje uten heis. Smal trapp. Slitte tepper og mye speil, men rent og helt greit.

Même si l'hotel n'est pas cher, il n'est plus entretenu. Propreté limite, accueil juste ce qu'il faut. Avantage: bien situé, et au calme

Bon hôtel en général, le confort de la chambre bien sauf la douche qui était limite, sans rebords, à même le sol, vraiment très moyen pour l'hygiène. Sinon pas d'autres remarques négatives, très bien

blev flyttet til andet værelse 3 gange på tre dage. Første værelse havde ingen vinduer el. ventilation. Andet værelse fik vi besked om at vi ikke måtte lukke teressedøren - ue på teressen var der ophob ninger af skrald. yderst kritisabel service

Ziemlich enger und altmodischer Schuppen, man mußte trotz Buchung und Abrechung über hotels.com bei der Abreise noch eine "Ortstaxe" von ein paar Euro entrichten: Das sorgt für zusätzlichen Unmut, denn das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis finde ich ohnehin nicht stimmig.

Ottima la posizione ma: camera un pò sporca, tv senza telecomando, poco spazio.

Das Hotel benötigt dringend eine Renovierung-über dreckigen Teppich und abgerissene Tapeten kann man hinweg sehen...aber auf Sperrholzplatte mit Schaumstoffbelag anstatt Matratze zu schlafen war keine Wohltat für den Rücken! Bemühte Rezeptionisten!
