Bed still had blankets rather than duvets and the shower ran cold the second morning. Given a key to a next door room to use shower, but this had very poor water flow and half the shower door was missing. TV mounted in a place than made it very uncomfortable to watch.

Wasn't impressed with the quality of hotel rooms but the staff, food and amenities where excellant.

Room and bathroom small and dirty. TV not working. Breakfast very bad.

Between the hours of 6:30 to 7:00am and 10:00 to 10:30 you can hear airplanes, but that's about the only drawback. Internet and breakfast was included. The staff was helpful if not friendly. The Tram runs a block away and the Metro two blocks. The room was beautiful.

This hotel has fascinating historical features which could be easily missed - paintings of past Belgian monarchs, the meeting room with elegant fireplace, the huge family rooms which were once salons. With a good breakfast thrown in, it is a economical way to stay in Brussels.

on a work trip to brussels. Good location for European union and is walkable into town but a 20 minute stroll. Room was a bit small but had everything you need. breakfast was agood spread - better than just a couple of bits of toast. Hotel is easy to find from the tube. Good business hotel with some older character

The hotel staff was not very helpful at all. I requested to purchase bottled water and the person at the front desk tried to convince me to actually drink from the tap. I gave him an immediate insulting glare and he then retrieves a cold bottle of water right from the refrigerator behind the front desk (4.5 euros). The same individual also did not know where the Casino was and did not offer to show me on a map. Just said - forget the street, it's close to Central Station. The beds are much too soft, the neighborhood is dead and too far from Grand Place. To top it off it is an uphill climb all the way.

The Hotel was quite expensive for the room which was extremely small but were extremely pleased with the service.

I didn't feel very safe at this hotel. There were no deadbolts on the room and the doors were more like thin bedroom doors with a skeleton key. It seemed that anyone could pick the lock. The actual rooms are in a separate building from the hotel lobby and anyone could go into the room side from the street without notice. I was travelling alone and was so uncomfortable, that I tried to leave early. The hotel room while VERY spartan, was very clean. No hairdryer in the bathroom. It was close to the metro and in a decent neighborhood. Definitely not for women traveling alone, but would be ok for couples on a budget.

I was in a single room, which was very compact. it was difficult to navigate around the sink to get to the rest of the bathroom. I'd advise going for a double if you go this hotel, which whilst perfectly OK was nothing special!

The lobby could be cleaner -the floor in front of the reception desk is especially worn.

This is an unusual hotel, apparently converted from a former townhouse or private mansion, with once large rooms subdivided into compact, efficient tourist hotel rooms. The "old" is still present with the "new": high ceilings, balconies in some cases, and our room had a (non-working) marble fireplace. Very friendly, efficient staff. Some spoke only French but there were always people with multiple languages staffing the front desk. Location is good--near a metro stop and the tram lines, and with the Colonne du Congres (WWI/WWII memorial) at the end of the street for an easy landmark. If you google-map it it looks like it's away from things, but Brussels is so small it was,in fact, an easy walk (10 minutes) to the Grand Place, Cathedral, et. al. The street is very quiet on the weekend, less so on week nights. There are a few cafes in walking distance. It was hot while we were there and--I suppose this is justice for our contributions to global warming--that made it uncomfortable sleeping one night. To be fair, a simple fan would have made the difference and I never bothered to ask for one. I suspect they have the on demand. All-in-all, if returning to Brussels on the same budget I would definitely use this hotel again.

This is a well-run hotel that's three townhouses put together into a very attractive, modern place. The single room I stayed in was pleasantly and efficiently furnished, comfortable and quiet. The area has several excellent restaurants and is about a ten minute walk to the touristy Grand Place area and only 10 minutes to the Royal Palais Museum. You will enjoy it if you like a more authentic experience than being right in the thick of the tourist section.

Très bon accueil, propreté exemplaire, situé tout près du centre ville (10min de la grand' place à pied). Seuls points négatifs: pas de parking intérieur (il faut se garer dans la rue et c'est 1 euro de l'heure), l'eau chaude est un peu capricieuse et il faisait très chaud dans la chambre. J'y retournerai sans hésiter.

L'Hotel Du Congres è posto in luogo ideale per ragiungere in pochi minuti il centro della città. la mancanza di un parcheggio addiacente può costringere a una camminata di circa dieci minuiti -ATTENZIONE, per il ritiro automezzo, AI GIORNI DI CHIUSURA DEI PARCHEGGI (possono essere chiusu la domenica o per festività impedendo il ritiro-esperienza provata!). La struttura è stata ristrutturata, poichè d'epoca , in modo molto economico e la colazione ha un'offerta, molto ma molto, parca! All'interno fa troppo caldo anche con l'impianto spento. Comunque mi sento di proporlo avendo ben chiaro a cosa si va incontro! Il Belgio è così: sembra che tutti si accontentino di un tenore di vita morigerato e l'hotel Du Congres, in tal senso, è una garanzia.

Nous avons passé un agéable séjour en famille, l'hôtel est situé ds un quartier d'affaires, les chambres sont spacieuses, le petit déjeuner très correct. Pour le parking pas de pb pour stationner dans la rue même si des parcmètres sont présents, les plaques françaises évitant les PV. En revanche, elles attirent les visiteurs indésirables, bien vider son véhicule, GPS très recherchés.

Propre, accueil excellent, pareil pour le petit déjeuner. Par contre chambre un peu spartiate, pas de lampe de chevet, assez petit. En résumé ok par rapport aux prix sur Bruxelles et à la localisation, ok aussi pour les services mais confort limité. A noter : dédale de chambres assez sympa dans cet hôtel, comme une impression d'être dans un dessin de Escher :)

er zijn veel zaken stuk (lampen, douchekop) de entree en eetzaal ziet er modern, sfeervol en smaakvol en verzorgd uit. De kamers zijn ouderwetser, vervuilde vloerbedekking in trappenhuis. Ontbijt was goed verzorgd

La chambre fournie (106, première dans l'escalier) n'épargnait aucun des bruits de l'escalier, qu'empruntaient, parfois en courant, tous les occupants de l'hôtel. Pas d'isolation sonore non plus avec la chambre au-dessus.

super petit déjeuner et chambre agréable et calme

Goede ontvangst, correct personeel bij de receptie, zij doen hun best Nederlands te spreken en dat lukt heel goed. Kamer, 3-persoons, zag er keurig uit en tot onze verrassing was er een keuken bij.

La chambre était très spacieuse. L'hôtel et situé à deux pas de la gare centrale. Très bon rapport qualité/prix.

Les chambres sont spacieuses. Très calme. Le seul problème a été la douche tiède. Petit déjeuner simple mais copieux.

Prix raisonnable, propre, proche des principaux musées de Bruxelles, petit-déjeune agréable et chambre vaste. Petit restaurant/brasserie près de l'hôtel fort agréable.

Cet hôtel est situé près du centre culturel de Bruxelles dans une rue calme. Ce n'est pas un palace mais il est très adapté quand on cherche un hôtel où dormir après une journée à arpenter les rues et les expos. Le petit déjeuner est copieux.

C'est un hôtel sympa, les chambres sont suffisamment grandes, personnellement, j'avais une chambre quadruple. Le seul reproche que je pourrais faire est qu'il n'a aucun charme... Il y a un manque de déco ce qui donne un coté spartiate!!! Mais ce n'est vraiment pas génant pour y passer une nuit!!! L'hotel est dans un endroit très calme le week-end et se trouve à quelques minutes à pied de la grand place. J'y retournerais volontiers pour passer un nouveau week-end à Bruxelles.

Ich war mit meinem Aufenthalt im Hotel du Congres sehr zufrieden. Obgleich die Eincheckzeit mit 14 Uhr angegeben war, durfte ich (weil mein Flug morgens früh amkam) schon morgens um neun einchecken. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, mein Zimmer war sauber und ruhig, das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr gut. Das Hotel liegt um die Ecke von Cirque Royal (Konzert) und ca 10 Minuten Fußweg entfernt von der Innenstadt. Alles in allem - empfehlenswert!
