My fiance and I loved this hotel. Staff was incredibly personable and accommodating. We had a fabulous time! Highly recommended!

We recently stayed at The Broadveiw Hotel, We were so pleased with the staff and our overall stay. The hotel was very quiet and we had drinks in the bar, the waitstaff were exptremely friendly. Our Room overlooked the river and was exceptionally clean! We will be staying there again.

Very pleasent friendly staff, particulary the cheerful breakfast crew. Good sized room with 2 double sleigh beds, dual aspect view from windows. Had read that the air-conditioning was poor however we found it to be excellent. The complementary breakfast was very good, lots of choice both hot and cold. The hotel provided a free airport shuttle, but would take you wherever you wanted locally if they were free at the time. We even rang for a lift back from a restaurant downtown. The only downside was the hotel bar, it had a strange smell and was quite dowdy, however the drinks were reasonable for a hotel and it was 2 4 1 on a Friday. The outdoor swimming pool was lovely with lots of sunloungers, free pool towels and a covered area with comfortable chairs for when it was too hot to sit in the sun. Would definitely visit again, if in the area.

Advertised Flapper Tour (reason we picked this hotel) was not available. Public areas (lobby, restaurant/bar)smell moldy (popcorn smell in the afternoon). Self-parking across the street $8.

The service was amazing. This location is within walking distance to oldtown/downtown area. The rooms were a little cramped but, very clean and again the service was outstanding! Will stay here again on my through Wichita.

the hotel needs itself needs improvement. desk drawers wouldn't close, bathroom and room are extremely small. crevices were not clean. the room is lit by only lamps. there's no overhead light which makes the room dark. i'm originally from dallas traveling to wichita for a high school graduation. the thought of staying at a historic hotel was intriguing to me, but this stay was less than desirable. to their credit, the front desk told me they're going under a multi-million dollar renovation late 2009. hopefully that will put in the runnings to be a great hotel.

I booked this hotel because it was close to the Century II center,(just across the street) and I was glad I did, because, with Riverfest and the Art Festival going on, access to the Century center was very limited. I was surprised that they charged me to park overnight in their parking garage, but with the huge crowds, I suppose the fee covered overnight guards, which were on duty. Oh, the free hot buffet breakfast was a great way to start the day.

Check-in and out went very quickly. Also the front desk told us where to go get our hair fixed and even made our appointments for us. It was also very close to walking and doing our shopping on Douglas St. and Old Town was also walking distance. We had a great week-end and look forward to returning to Wichita in the future.

It is a historic hotel and the detail comes out. The lobby is beautiful, but the rooms could have a more luxury feel to them. But i think it's a great deal and will return.

The hotel is apparently getting ready to shut down for major renovations and the level of service showed that they probably were having a hard time retaining employees. There was a definite shortage w/one attendant answering phones as well as parking cars. I will come back after the renovations because the older hotel still has charm.

We were very impressed. I only expected a regular size room with one queen bed. But what we had was like a suite. We loved it and the view was wonderful. The hotel was quick to fix the tub drainage. Parking was a little difficult not being from the area. The breakfast was good and hot.We will use this hotel again. You can't beat the size of the room for the price.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised at the condition of this hotel. It is an old building, but it has been updated and maintained well. For the price we paid, we couldn't have found a better place in Wichita. However, the parking garage is across the street and is NOT free. It makes for a bit of a walk to your room from your car. There is a valet, but you will have to pay even more for that. The shower stall was a bit cramped as well. Overall, you won't be disappointed staying at this hotel.

The Broadview Hotel was a phenomenal value with a convenient downtown location. We were next to the major museums and airport. Dining was only a short drive away and there were plenty of options downtown. The only negative was room service was running a little slow one evening and the meal on that particular night was not as good as we hoped. We are thinking that was not the norm. I would recommend to others staying in Wichita.

My only complaint is that I paid for a King bed but we ended up with a double. I had confirmed our reservation with the hotel two weeks in advance to make sure that there would be a king bed, and they said that we would have one. We ended up with a double bed. Other than that, the hotel was fine. The free breakfast in the morning was very nice, and the lobby is beautiful. A very nice, historic hotel.

I stayed at the Broadview one night on business. The only problem I had was the WiFi wasn't working from my room, so I had to go down to the lobby to get it to work. The staff was very helpful in that regard. The hotel is in bankruptcy, but I didn't see any signs of any problems related to that.

Pretty nice hotel in Wichita. We had a large room that was quite comfortable and got a great rate on hotels.com I would recommend waiting to stay there until after the huge renovation is done. Maybe they will revamp their staff too. Not the friendliest folks I have come across.

Excellent Hotel, Everything was excellent, except the bed is pretty firm. I prefer pillow top mattresses. Over all a great hotel for a great price.

Coming from Colorado where smoking is banned in restaurants and bars I was a little overwhelmed by the smell of smoke when we walked into the lobby. They have a hoppin' bar where people can smoke. Other than that the staff was great and accommodating (our luggage was lost at the airport). Clean, friendly, a little pricey but nice.

I was happy to get a room in the same hotel as my daughter's rowing team, and wasn't really concerned with anything else at the time I booked the room. I was pleasantly surprised to find a great room and great customer service at the front desk throughout our stay! The hotel is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. Everything was delicious, fresh, and the appropriate temperature. We initially had a small mix up with the reservation being for a 2-bed room, and they only had a king room available. But, the great front desk person asked if we would just go ahead to the room they had and call back in an hour or so. We did, and he eventually found us the 2-bed room we wanted and got us moved right in without incident. He was really a gem, and ended up giving us directions to a restaurant, and even remembered my name when we checked out in the morning. That's awesome customer service!

I grew up in Wichita and The Broadview was the ritzy place I couldn't even afford to enter. It was a treat to stay there and it was very comfortable and convenient. It is old, yet modern in every way. The service was fine.

overall the hotel is very nice we loved the rooms and the overall feel of the hotel, the locations is nice considering the amount on nightlife that is just minutes away. Our main problems were the staff. they were rude and not very accomidating, fortunally we were able to keep our interactions wiht them breif. the only other issue was the parking it did not feel very safe and our secure. all things considered we would stay here again

I love staying at the Broadview! Very friendly and professional staff. This is an older hotel, but is very well kept. Very clean big rooms with everything a person would need. Great restaurant with a fun hardworking staff. Would recomend this hotel to anyone!!!

The room I requested was double booked so instead the staff placed me in a shoe box which was less than 200 square feet and a bathroom that rivaled most airplane lavoratories. The manager on staff apparently had no clue what customer service was and he didn't have the authority to do much of anything including refunding my money so I could choose another hotel.

Loved the hotel, the ambience. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side, but it is an old hotel. Everything was neat and clean. I had trouble with the wireless and the IT guy came in on Sunday evening to rework the system in the hotel and assist me with my issues. Fantastic customer service!

Great historic hotel has been modernized. Large rooms with comfortable furnishings. Bathrooms were a bit small, but made up for size by containing a separate tub and shower. Windows actually opened. Parking garage was in horrible disrepair, but was not actually a hotel structure. Overall, a great hotel.

This hotel needs some attention to details like cleaning smear marks off of the windows and picking up cups off tables in hallways. The rooms are very small, they are very clean and neat, but small.

The food was not very good--and way overpriced. Thers no place conveient to park--except across the street--and you get soaked --if its raining--or pay an additional 12.50 for parking.

Very pretty lobby- almost "Pretty Woman". But that's where it stops- because it's an historic hotel, the thermostat only runs heat(Oct-May)and a/c (June-Sept). It says if you're hot, "open a window". I think they've forgotten they're in downtown and it's noisy. Overall, not impressed at all with the service.
