Domina Home Royal - Positano

Overall Hotel was excellent - of a very high standard. Quality of Food both for Dinner and especially the Breakfast Buffet was excellent! The staff were truly professional, and the Hotel Services were very good, especially the nightly entertainment in the Hotel bar. The hotel boasted "all rooms with Sea view" when booking - this is a fact! We had fantastic rooms, well-positioned, and the addition of a balcony off each room added to the overall experience of a leisurely and totally relaxing stay. Only ONE CRITICISM - the hotel advertises Car Parking at a daily charge - no issue with the charge. However, the Car Park is a bit of a joke - we had hired a big car, and to try and gain entry into and out of the hotel grounds was a nightmare - it is the one factor that would put us off staying in that hotel again. It's a fact that you do need a car when visiting the Amalfi Coast, so next time around, even though we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, we would select a hotel with a decent car park, as this was a major inconvenience for us during our stay.

The hotel was fine, it was well signposted and we did not have a problem finding our say around. Some of the staff were great others especially pool staff/cafe staff were not so good. Our room was disappointing as it was suppose to have hill view but only looked on side of building which had pumping system which made a noise and we had to keep shutters closed because of people going by.

located very high up the mountain,cant see much of the sea,pool is lovely,staff friendly but their english not great,no iron in the entire hotel so they sent my shirts for ironing at the local laundrette but charged me 79.00 euro!!no tea/coffee facility in room,air conditioner was great,too difficult to walk back up to hotel so had to pay 15euro each evening or else a bus which was overcrowded.

The location was high up, which had positives and negatives. Positive was that you could leave the touristy area and have some good quiet. The negative was the steps and getting used to taking the Orange "Interno Positano" bus. Our family had a nice stay. The hotel was a great value and we'd stay there again. The view was fantastic. As mentioned in other reviews the layout of the Hotel was a little disorienting. However, my 10 and 12 year old's figured out the layout in about 30 minutes.

Had a great time in Positano, I fell in love with the view once I got off the bus and the hotel is just a short walk down some steps from the SITA bus station. Staff were very friendly an helpful in recommending restaurants and answered all my questions patiently. Highly recommended! And great views too from my room - stunning!

I know Positano is pricey but I expected more for what we paid for. The hairdryer was broken and there was a 1/2 drank bottle of water in the mini bar. Only after reporting this twice did someone actually come check it out, at which point we were leaving. In addition, the room was small, furniture was somewhat old, the bed was hard (as were all beds in Italy). The location was also less than optimal - at the top of the hill with a long walk down 400+ steps to the beach and town.

Siden vi gjerne ville ha hotell i Positano med basseng, var dette det eneste å oppdrive. Hotellet var greit nok, bortsett ifra at vi bytte rom fordi rommet lå rett under terrassen som var ganske støyende. Grei gåavstand til/fra sentrum, men husk at det er mye trapper for å komme til og fra hotellet. Bybussen stoppet rett utenfor hotellet så alternativet er å ta den. Bassenget var stort og barnevennlig. Personalet var høflige og kunne som regel engelsk. Hvis man heller vil ligge ved stranden ville jeg kanskje valgt et hotell som lå nærmere sentrum.

Meget fin service i restauranten og i øvrigt udmærket restaurant og køkken. Meget smuk beliggenhed højt i Positano med udsigten til havet. Tennisbane og svimmngpool på hotellet.
