This hotel is suited for all type of customers; from the single busiess traveller to parties on tour in Ireland. The decor is very lavish and large but the service compliments this as it is personal. My only minor critisism was that when booking online they do not seem take credit card details on arriveal at the desk ,so when eating and drinking I did not havethe facility to place the charge on to my room. The consierge was very knowledgeable about Dublin and travelling in the city. I would recommend this hotel.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Burlington (Only down point was that we had the conference room aircon fans by our window) The bathroom also needed a "sprucing up". The breakfast was very good and the hotel bar very comfortable. It is very easy to get too A taxi cost approx 7euro or it takes 15-20 minutes to walk from Grafton street/St Stephens Green.

The Burlington has gone through a refurbisment that has meant it has a new night club and main bar. On the other hand the rooms seem not to have been touched. They are basic but clean. A good hotel for an extended weekend.

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Burlington Hotel. It was a bit difficult to find. The address was Upper Leeson Street but it appeared the hotel was really on Sussex/Upper Leeson junction. It was very clean. We did not use any of the hotel services because we spent most of our time exploring Dublin.

I found the Burlington a very relaxing experience with friendly helpfull staff. The room was comfortable except for the heat from the weather which because of health and safety couldn't be sorted out by opening the windows too wide, so that's not the hotel's fault. The foyer was lively and the doorman/porter very helpfull with tour info and timetables etc. And the taxi rank at the gate was perfect. Will definitely stay again.

I was a little nervous because someone else said it looked like a hospital from the outside, well it is an older hotel but they are working hard at updating. The room was very clean, large and even had AC. We did end up getting upgraded the concierge level, which included a free breakfast on our floor of crossiants, juice, coffe, etc. Not the best breakfast but for days we were heading out and didn't have to sit down for breakfast it was a nice start to get us going. The lobby is great, two bars, a restaurant and couches everywhere. Our hotel was busy place downstairs always alot of people just hanging out. Like others said it was right on the AirCoach line from the airport. It was a little bit of walk to get to some things but there are always taxis waiting outside the hotel. But it was nice that it was a quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend!

This hotel has a good name, but while staying there it became obvious to me that nothing had been spent on it in at least 5 years. I give it another 5 and it will be a poor hotel. Right now it still is clean and comfortable but their policy of competing on price means the hotel will suffer long term damage. If you want to experience the Burlington, go now or risk disappointment.

Having recently stayed at this hotel I would like to strongly recommend a stay there. I like you are always unsure on hotel promises on a website and when reading other peoples reviews, BUT I was delighted that I went with my instinct to stay there. It’s a fantastic hotel with everything you need. I stayed only of a ‘room only’ basis but this did not deter in anyway the service I received. I cannot comment on the restaurant as I did not eat there as I said but it looked lovely! The rooms were clean, tidy and had a modern feel, very spacious and with free internet access. The room also came with bath robes for that added luxury. Don’t hesitate to book this hotel for your stay in Dublin.

The main problem my wife and I had at the hotel was the poor quality front desk staff. Upon check in they were not very welcoming and unfortunately set a bad tone for our stay. Check out was even less pleasurable with the lady behind the front desk not even bothering to get off the phone to ask if we had a nice stay. The hotel car park is expensive and the credit card function was not working and the front desk said it was not their problem I should contact the operators of the machine!!! They offered no alternative. Poor service all round.

The Burlington doesn't look very fancy from the outside on arrival but inside is great. Gorgeous lobby with comfy seating where you can have food & drinks. Reception staff are very polite and speedy booking in. We arrived 2 hours earlier than checking in time due to an early flight but there were no problems getting our room. Decent size room, which was immaculately clean. Very comfortable beds. The bathroom was a good size, very clean with a nice big powerful shower and complementary toiletries - bath panel looked slightly old but no real issue. Only 1 very slight negative was the road noise which wasn't really bad enough to prevent us sleeping but it was audible. It wasn't bad enough to stop me staying at this hotel again though. The hotel is a 5 minute bus ride from the city centre and cost us just over 1 euro each. The airport bus (Aircoach - blue buses) also stops right outside and cost 14 euro each return - well worth it. We didn't have breakfast but the receptionist did tell us about special offers for breakfast for room only guests. Overall a great hotel, well worth the money and I would recommend it to everyone wanting a reasonably central hotel.

Service in this hotel was slow, slow, slow. Was in Dublin for a rugby match. When I arrived there was about three hundred fans in the bar and 2 bar staff. Ordered some sandwiches from another area and this took 1 hour to get. Car park cost € 10 per day although there was a non paying car park which could hold 40 cars empty at the front of hotel. We were told this was reserved. Dunno who for but definitely didn't see any royalty at the hotel. Did however see the concierge pocketing money on several occasions for letting people in to this car park. Also he had a good trick for people staying for a few days whereby a small donation to the concierge's favourite charity got you a new ticket whereby you only had to pay for a one hour visit. This hotel is a throw back to thirty years ago where the size of the tip that you give (in advance) determines the level of service that you are going to get. Won't be going back. There is no place for this sort of hotel in my life. Hotel was full for night of match but very empty the second night. I am not surprised. There was hardly a car in the paying car park or the wink and nod free car park.

I took the "red eye" to Dublin and got in early morning and one of the ladies at the desk told me I had to wait 3 hours. 20 minutes after waiting in the lobby I went back up to the front desk and a man to see if there was any rooms available and he had me set in seconds. Also, hotel restaurant SUCKS during breakfast, which is a shame since it's self-service! All they needed to do is clear off tables and put silverware and they couldn't do that! I waited for 15 minutes for someone to bring me silverware and in the end, I got them myself. Awful. Rooms are really nice and concierge was great.

This hotel is both welcoming and comfortable combined with an air of luxury. The restaurant is adequate and there is a pleasant bar area for those less hungry. The rooms are scrupulously clean and the beds exceptionally comfortable with the odd exception. The standard of the rooms varies as the continue to renovate, but having stayed here week after week, the rooms have all been more than satisfactory. Some even have a bar fridge. Location was excellent, but had to pay an extra €10 a day for parking...on the upside, had a lovely cafe right on the corner for those who missed breakfast. Overall not impressed, have been to nearby hotels wich offer better value for money.

The one thing I seem to notice when travlling overseas in this case Ireland is that the hotels are still a little behind the times regarding women travellers. For instance, they should have a vaniety mirror in the bathroom for putting make-up on. Also, I still fail to understand Europe's concept on hair-dyers and why they are NOT allowed in the bathrooms. I finally found it in the desk drawer. Aside from that, the hair-dryer should have an on and off switch. Continually holding the on-button while trying to blow-dry ones hair is quite difficult. Apart from that, I did appreciate having coffee and tea available in room at no charge. The hotel staff was outstanding. My room was always clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel was easily accessable to all parts of the city centre, tourist areas and the train.

I have been to Ireland many times and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Booked 5 rooms this trip - one would think the hotel staff would treat a paying customer better. Instead they were unbelievably rude and incompetent. There is no temperature control in any of the rooms. Floors are stained and blankets have holes in them. I would have rather slept in Stephen's Green. Thank goodness this place is getting torn down in a few months. Do not stay here or let anyone you know stay here.

The staff was excellent, the rooms clean and contemporary, and overall this hotel was a great value for the price paid. The Air Coach stops directly in front of the hotel making transport to and from the airport a breeze. And while the lobby area can be active, the fact that the hotel is just outside of the bustle of the center itself added a peaceful quality to the overall experience. Still you are only a short walk from St. Stephen's Green and Grafton Street. The only drawback was that dining in the hotel was pricey and the meal itself below-average. However, there are plenty of options for good eating nearby.

The Burlington Hotel is a well-run, well-kept hotel about 10 minutes walk from St. Stephen Green and 15-25 minutes from the center of Dublin. If you are not a walker, its a short easy cab ride. The location is quieter than Temple Bar but not so remote that its difficult to get to. My room was comfortable, clean, and (thankfully) available early after my all night flight. Housekeeping was efficient, and it looked like the bar got some traffic (I passed by but didn't stop.) The hotel gets an extra bonus point for mailing back (to America) an address book I left in the room--thank you, staff!

The Burlington Hotel was fine. It wasn't great. It wasn't awful. The rooms were well appointed. The staff was fine. They ran the hotel like a business. It is a huge hotel with very little character or charm. Its about a 10-15 minute walk to central Dublin. The neighborhood was residential with close to no restaurants or shops on the street. Quiet and somewhat boring. Certainly not a destination area. My partner mentioned that he thought it was a hospital when first arriving. Huge big block building with a fluorescent sign. There was wedding going on when we arrived which was entertaining. I would recommend this hotel to someone who didn't have time to look for something more central and quaint.

The Burlington Hotel is business-oriented, but that's fine with me when I travel. The hotel is located about ten minutes walk from St. Stephen's Green and the rest of downtown can be reached in an additional 5 to 15 minutes. Ask the staff for a city map. That is an easy walk (or a short cab ride if you don't feel like walking), and I found it just fine for the 3 days I was visiting Dublin. The room was large, comfortable, and the location slightly out of the city kept it quiet at night. Staff was friendly and efficient. TV was fuzzy (but I didn't come to Ireland to watch TV.) All in all, a good stay and a good value in an otherwise expensive city.
