Todos los hoteles en Midtown"Very Nice"
Comentado por Beth, deCheyenne, el sep 10, 2009
While our room was small, for 2 people it was fine. Very cozy and the best sleep we have had in years! The bed was VERY comfy. The evening cookies were a nice end to the day. The one thing missing was a luggage stand. The closet is small and very few drawers so it would have been nice to have a stand for our suitcases. Great location close to subways and Grand Central. We have stayed at several different upscale Manhattan hotels and we would definitely stay there again.

The staff was incredibly accomodating. I read some of the concerns on Tripadviser and all I can say is, chill out. No, it is not a huge room, no there is no view. Just step outside, that is why you are in NYC, right? The location, the staff, the rooms are all super. No question-I will return.

Comentado por un huésped de Hotels.com el sep 4, 2009.
I've tried every hotel on 44th street between 5th and 6th -- my preferred location in the city -- and this is clearly the best value. It has the atmosphere of the clubs that line the block with the style of a chic boutique hotel. It's more laid-back than the Royalton, though. It is small -- not too many amenities, not too many people working there. The room service from the Bistro Moderne downstairs is excellent but pricy. The rooms are quite charming, most have built-in window seats, some have small balconies. Probably the best little hotel no one has heard of, I passed it for years before I even noticed it!

This Hotel exceeded all of our expectations! My wife and I needed a weekend getaway in NYC and after searching for hotels on the internet, I found the City Club. After reading some of the reviews from previous guests, I booked the hotel right away. From the minute we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly door man who ended up stopping traffic so I could park my car across the street! The staff was extremely friendly and was very helpful in answering questions that we had in regards to NYC. This Hotel was perfect for us, we spent most of our time sightseeing and dining, when we needed to crash it served us. It was clean, modern and the bed was comfortable. If you are the type of person who likes to sit in and watch TV and do nothing, this hotel is not for you. If you are the adventurous type who likes to get out and enjoy your vacation.... this would be the perfect spot.

We stayed in a "petite" room expecting to have cramped quarters. We were pleasantly surprised to find our room more spacious than we expected, also clean with a very comfortable bed and soft sheets. The bathroom was a good size also. We only stayed one night and would be happy to spend another weekend here at this great price.

Comentado por un huésped de Hotels.com el ago 25, 2009.
Rather officious at check-in. I had arrived a couple of hours before check-in; other places I's stayed have at least made an effort to see if a room was available, but this attendant made it clear that he wasn't going to try at all. Upon returning later, a different desk attendant had me fill out registration forms again, all with a greatly self-important manner. I also think that the $100 a night credit card hold is excessive; this is more than I've been charged at comparable or nicer places in Manhattan. On the plus side: the room, though small, was clean and comfortable; internet service is free, if a bit weak.

well, i read all the reviews before booking, but i didn't expect it to be that small. worst thing is that people talking on hallway and you can hear every single word. plus the mattress was totally uncomfortable...way too soft. room was clean, bathroom was bigger than the room. you have no space to open a 22" suitcase anywhere.

Comentado por un huésped de Hotels.com el ago 18, 2009.
This was a slick, chic hotel with a great mid-town location and we enjoyed it. However, we booked it specifically looking for a room for a family, and the Queen Luxe room we were given did not correspond to the website photos that show a daybed. The staff noted that not all rooms in this category actually include a daybed, which would be a problem if you are counting on the extra place for a child to sleep. Fortunately, we were able to move, but guests should confirm this in advance. Parking price at a nearby ramp was $35 overnight with a hotel discount, which is not bad for NYC but guests should be prepared to budget for this if driving.

Our recent stay at the City Club Hotel was a great one.The location was perfect for what we were there for which was a short stay to see a Broadway show and Times Square. We walked to both because it is such a short distance. The service was wonderful particuarly buy our concierge Emmanuel. Not only were we serended with Happy Birthday (in perfect tune!) he was so much fun especially with our kids. The kids said he was a favorite aspect of our trip. They are still talking about him as if he were an old friend!I would go back to the City Club hotel in a NY minute!

We were thrilled with the location - next door to the famous Algonquin Hotel and within easy walking distance of the theatre district, Museum of Modern Art, Rockefeller Centre and many other Manhattan sights. Our room was stylish and, for the location, reasonably priced, but small with only a view of two air shafts. However, it was quiet and comfortable with many luxury touches (bathrobes, turndown service, morning newspapers, Co Bigelow bath products.) The reception staff were impeccable - friendly, helpful and efficient. When we were asking for restaurant advice they looked up several places for us and even said we could call them for more ideas if we didn't find any place we liked! We would definitely return and recommend to others.

We stayed for one night and were very happy with the hotel. We would stay there again. 44th St. is a perfect location. This hotel was a short stay for me. The room was clean, reasonably stylish but not up to the standard they seem to be aiming for. Nice clean room however, service was not good at all. It rained when we arrived there was no bellmen to take our bags or anyone to park our car. I was drenched, what kind of hotel doesn't have concierge umbrellas??? I would not recommend this hotel!

My mother, sister and I had made last minute plans to visit NYC. Finding a hotel that would accommodate all our needs, one of them being able to sleep 3 adults comfortably in one room, was not easy. Most of the hotels offerred 2 doubles and I would think most agree, not suitable for average-sized adults. The City Club Hotel offerred a queen plus a daybed. We were fortunate to get a king plus a very large, daybed. The room was clean with ample space. It is very well located, easily accessible to the train and Times Square. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in NYC. No complaints.

The room was well appointed - comfortable bed and lovely bathroom -- but very dark. The halls were also dark and narrow. There was no lobby - just a very small reception area. No place to sit and welcome guests. The hotel staff were friendly but had limited knowledge of restaurants to recommend in the area. Nice rooms but very little beyond that to offer. I had expected the ambiance of a club with places to sit and read, have coffee... The restaurant service also was quite slow, pricey and not great for breakfast meetings.

For the price, you can't beat the location. We stayed in a "petit" room, and the term definitely applies. However, if you are staying a night or two and are going to be out most of the time, it's fine. The three things that matter to me most are location, bed comfort and shower. All three passed with flying colors. This hotel had all the other significant room amenities and a few surprises (like the cookies at turn down). If you plan on having family or visitors stop by, you'll need a larger room than the one we had.

Having read many reviews about this little hotel I was keen to experience it myself having never visited New York before. I was not disappointed. The staff are very friendly and accomodating, the hotel is very clean and the room was of good size (Queen Luxe). The decor of the rooms is very modern and my only gripes were that the lighting could have been better, there was no bath, and the views out of the two windows were none existent. Aside from that a morning paper was delivered each morning and two freshly made choc chip cookies were left in the room in the afternoon and were still warm. There is a diner a stone throw from the front of the hotel so breakfast is not a problem and a coffee shop across the road. I would definately recommend this little hotel to friends and family and when possible on my return will once again revisit. Overall very pleased!

Our stay in New York could not have been better. The location of the hotel, equidistant between Times Square and Grand Central, is ideal. Despite its central location, it is quiet and far from frantic. The staff are wonderful in every way, very eager to please, young, excited about the city and eager to share insights. The rooms are bigger than expected, well appointed with unique touches, and very clean. Small touches, like the complimentary NYT (including the Sunday edition) instead of USA Today, added to the boutique atmosphere. The downstairs bistro is nice for dinner, and there is a diner down the block that was very fast for breakfast. The only small issue was a lack of coffee maker in the room (but from talking to friends, this seems to be an issue in many NYC hotels.) While the hotel caters to the business traveler, we found City Club to be a wonderful tourist escape as well. We will be back.
