Great newer hotel, elegantly furnished. Great pool for kids, did not like the resort fee. Staff was friendly and helpful, with one exception valet and bellhops seemed snotty if not driving a mercedes. Hotel has a grand feeling. Did not like the fact that everything seems to lead to casino. Parking was far from hotel room, except if you park in valet. Casino is the main level then from there you go on to you r destination. Had to go through casino to get to car (imagine lugging luggage, cooler, kids etc).

Comentado por Doug, deCoatesville, el ago 16, 2009
The resort and spa were very nice. It was also nice to be able to walk to the attached shopping and other restaurants at the District. Onsite restaurants, lounges, and other facilities were very nice and I deficately recommend. The pancake house was also good but the omlette I ordered was more like a souffle rather than a regular omlettte and the night time entertainment was lacking. The hotel does have a car rental service and a discount which is very nice and more reasonable than booking directly from the car rental itself. There is a shuttle to the strip and also to and from the airport. It's about twenty five minutes to the strip and airport. The rooms were large and posh.

Will probably always stay at GVR as its more peaceful, has a lot of nearby conveniences, and is away from the constant construction of the Strip. But its only 15 minutes away from the Strip. Great pool (but it should be open longer; it closes at 8pm), exercise room. Movie theater right in hotel complex (for family visitors). Does not have entertainment, but there's plenty of that on the Strip. Front desk and concierge were veryhelpful

The Resort and Spa is beautiful and well appointed, and it abuts "The District," a large shopping and dining outdoor mall. Convenient to I-215 which brings you to the Strip in 15 minutes.

I lived in Las Vegas for 12 years and always loved the Green Valley Ranch. It is a beautiful resort and I would recommend it. However, I was very upset after I got there and they said that they would be charging me an additional $25 per night for resort priviledges. Upon questioning, they told me that in the extra fine print under the title of "helpful information" on the hotel's.com invoice, it states that this is a charge that will incur. I wouldn't have minded paying the additional charge had they just told me from the beginning and included it in my total price due. The resort is such a high class place, that I expected them to have better integrity than this. It just left a bad taste in my mouth.

The hotel itself is great. Great pool, excellent rooms, lived in Vegas for 7 years and this is one of my favorite places to stay. However, please make yourself aware of the following. There is a daily resort fee that you do not pay on hotels.com and there is also a daily hold fee for "incidentals." If this is paid by credit card it is held but if it is paid by debit is is withdrawn at time of check in. I was shocked and almost could not afford to stay after booking the hotel at the "incidental" daily fee. Please call the hotel before you visit to make sure you can cover this fee prior to your trip to Vegas. It will make your trip that much more fun instead of fighting with the wife about why you can't lose money gambling.

In the past, we always enjoyed this property. This time we were very disappointed. The customer service was lacking- all staff (front desk, spa/fitness area, security) were very unfriendly- seemed irritated by our questions (i.e., directions), and we found the resort's claims of complimentary services (paper, valet, fitness center) exceptionally misleading, because of a mandatory resort fee which was exceptionally high, and not worth the cost.

MY CURLING IRON ACCIDENTALLY GOT BROKEN. THE MAID WAS IN THE BATHROOM AND SHE SAID IT FELL OFF THE SHELF. AT FIRST I DIDN'T THINK I WAS GOING TO GET MUCH HELP GETTING IT REPLACED AS I HAD TO FILL OUT A SECURITY REPORT. HOWEVER, WHEN I TOLD THEM I COULDN'T DO MY HAIR THEY SENT SOMEONE TO PURCHASE ONE FOR ME AND BROUGHT IT TO MY ROOM PROMPTLY. THE MANAGER WAS EXTREMELY KIND EVEN BRINGING A PAIR OF SCISSORS TO OPEN THE PACKAGE. MY ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THAT ONE EVENING MY SON AND I WERE GAMBLING IN THE CASINO FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 HOURS. DURING THAT TIME WE NEVER HAD A WAITRESS ASK US IF WE WANTED A DRINK. MY SON FLAGGED DOWN SOMEONE WHO WORKED THERE AND TOLD THEM ABOUT THIS. WE STILL NEVER HAD A ANYONE ASK US IF WE WANTED A DRINK. IN FACT NO ONE EVEN CAME INTO VIEW TO ASK. WE QUIT PLAYING THE GAMES BECAUSE WE WERE SO THIRSTY AND ENDED UP GOING TO THE BAR AND PURCHASED OUR DRINKS. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT WHEN ONE IS GAMBLING DRINKS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FREE OTHER THAN TIPPING THE SERVER. WE WOULD HAVE PLAYED EVEN LONGER IF WE COULD HAVE GOTTEN A DRINK. THREE HOURS IS A VERY LONG TIME TO GO UNNOTICED. IF IT WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN I WOULD HAVE SOUGHT OUT A SERVER BECAUSE IT ENDED UP BEING VERY EXPENSIVE PURCHASING OUR OWN DRINKS. WE LOVED THE HOTEL, RESTAURANTS, AND POOL BUT AM NOT SURE ABOUT GOING TO THE CASINO AGAIN. THANKS FOR TAKING TIME TO READ THIS.

This was a fantastic hotel. Very clean. Three complaints: 1) There was a full minibar and snack bar inside of the room (which was nice), but there was no refrigerator! 2) The TVs in the "deluxe" rooms were nice, but not flatscreens 3) There was a daily "resort fee" of $25 per night. This adds a LOT onto the total bill. This will be charged at the end of your stay, so please be aware before you book!

I train Customer Service classes so I have a very critical eye when it comes to service. Green Valley Ranch so far exceeded my expectations that I asked for and fully intend to send in my comments to their General Manager. The hotel is exquisite. The rooms are immaculate and luxurious and the staff goes so far beyond the standard of excellence that they all deserve raises for their incredible attention to detail. I will use the Green Valley Ranch as an example of outstanding customer service in all my future trainings. My only complaint was that I didn't get a chance to stay there longer. I plan to rectify that in the near future.

The hotel is nice, but the person at the front desk basically confused me and made me sign the bill for the resort fee without explaining what it was for and if it was optional. Add $27.49/night to the bill so you can use a pool or gym, crazy. Also, this place must really be hurting because the restaurants were never busy, well except for the buffet.

Rooms are spacious - especially compared to rooms on the Strip. Pool and spa area are outstanding .. loved the rolling sand into the pool - nice touch! I HATED the mandatory $24.95/day "resort fee" - this has become the "acceptable norm" and I wish we could stop the practice! Hell, charge me $25 more on my room rate, but just STOP "nickle and diming" me when I show up. It's an insult to me as a customer - on one hand you advertise $xx/night, but really it's $xx + 24.95 - which REALLY chaps my hide!

The reviews about the long check in were right on. Only one party checking in when we arrived and we waited 20 minutes. There were three people behind the desk and no one even made eye contact with us. We were checked in and given keys to our room with barely a word, nothing about the resort and amenities. They charge an extra $25.00 per room to use the pool, which was closed at 5:00 p.m. They didn't bother to tell us anything like that. Other than that, the resort itself is very beautiful. The rooms were big, nicely furnished, and very comfortable.

The service and quality of rooms at Green Valley Ranch are exceptional. There is a number of great restaurants in the Casino/Hotel as well as the Buffet which is great as well. We are returning guests of Green Valley Ranch but since our most recent stay I can tell you my wife and I will never come back. Rude people at check in put us in a down graded room that did not have the amenities we booked, Mini bar was electronically locked and not accessible due to online problems, room next door was occupied by two adults, two screaming kids and a dog, yes a dog! What was to be our romantic anniversary weekend turned out to be a sleepless 48 hour nightmare caused by out of control kids, a barking dog and a front desk manager that could care less. Housekeeping never showed to make up our room until several calls were made and then they showed up to clean the room at 6:00 PM while we were trying to get ready for dinner. If you expect to pay top dollar and get really bad customer service than this is the place for you.
