Starlight Suiten Hotel - Budapest

Loved the Hotel itself. You cannot beat the location...1/2 a block from the Danube and one of the best nighttime skylines on the planet. Walk to the Chain Bridge, Metro, which means you are minutes from anywhere in Budapest. The rooms are huge, clean and quiet. The continental breakfast included in the price is perfectly portable for those travelers who like to actually visit the city they are staying in, as opposed to sitting and eating breakfast. My only complaint, and it's a big one...they charged us twice the price, just because we have two children. My kids are very used to sleeping on coaches or the floor, so we rarely tell the hotel that we have children, however this hotel insisted on charging us double, even though the rooms are so huge, we could have had 6 kids on the floor, and my wife and I still would have had our own private bedroom.

great location, friendly and helpful staff, room was big/practically an apartment, bed was comfortable(too small pillow), breakfast was good.

Incredibly large rooms, all suites, cheap. Mine had a bar, living areas with 3 sofas!. Great for stag dos! N

We stayed at the hotel for a week and wanted accommodations that had more than just a bedroom. The suite was nice with a separate bedroom, living room and bathroom. The "kitchen" area was just a microwave, small sink and small refrigerator that was full of items for purchase (the prices were reasonable). There wasn't much room to store any other food, which was a bit annoying. The bed was rather hard and the pillows were a bit flat, but it wasn't too bad. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The Starlight Suiten Hotel is located immediately adjacent to the five star Four Seasons hotel, a block from the Danube River. Rooms are quite spacious and comfortable. It was a great value through Hotels.com, and would have been a great price for a great location without the lower rate.

You can get a better location- it's called the 4 Seasons and it is half a block from this hotel...do the math. Suites are huge, the Chain Bridge and St. Stephen's Cathedral are just blocks away- you cannot beat this deal. My group was delighted.

Located right behind The Four Seasons--perhaps we could call this The Three Seasons. Price was great as were the staff. Large bathroom and bedroom (suite). Only complaint--couldn't give us additional pillows.

Starlight was in a prime location - a block from the bridge and walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, and other attractions. The suites were so spacious and divided into separate rooms -living room and bedroom. This hotel is clean and reasonably priced, but it is "no frills". My only complaint was they stated they did not offer "No Smoking" rooms even though that appeared to be an option when making the reservation.

The Starlight Suiten was great. The staff were very friendly and quick to assist us. Rooms were very clean and the hotel is in a great location. Would definitely stay again and will recommend to friends and family.

You can't ask for more as far as location to the chain bridge and both sides of the river. Room layout is spectacular and roomy. A true suite. Superb and very well priced minibar! I was however dissapointed with the "included" breakfast. It is essentially rolls, juice and coffee. It also sits right next to the full breakfast wwith a big sign that says for an additional 15 Euros you can eat from the full bar. This offering was not great either in terms of choice and I think STarlight should just raise their room price a bit if needed and include breakfast.

We had an extremely plesant stay at the Starlight Hotel in Budapest, the staff were exceptional, they spoke in perfect English and German. The room was great, we had a suite with roof top terrace with a nice view of the chain bridge, the room was very clean. Would thoroughly reccommend this hotel. The hotel is within easy reach of Vaci street

We read other reviews and they all said what a perfect location this hotel was. It is!! Close to everything and totally walkable to anywhere we wanted to go. Clean, friendly and helpful.

Location - The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport by taxi. Great location, it is on the Pest side, at the end of the road (2 minute walk, if that) is the chain bridge and No.2 tram stop. The main metro station (Dek ter) is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. A main shopping street and Fashion Street are also about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel as well as Andrassy Avenue which is a long avenue full of bars and restaurants; this avenue also leads to the Opera House and Heroes square. There are cash points, bars, restaurants and supermarkets all within 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel itself is located on a quiet side street which was clean and appeared safe in every sense. There is also an Indian restaurant next door to the hotel. Room - The room is very very spacious a certainly is a suite rather than a hotel room. There is a lounge area with a tv, desk, mini bar (which is incredibly cheap - big bottle of wine £4). The bedroom also has a tv, dressing table and ample storage. The bathroom is spacious and nice too. TOP TIP - Ask for a room on the 7th floor, they have HUGE balconies. Staff - The staff at this hotel are FANTASTIC, nothing was too much for them and they were very helpful. When we checked in, the receptionist spent about 15 minutes giving us info on the area and giving us maps and guides books. Everytime we left the hotel or entered the hotel, a member of staff said hello or goodbye.

The suite itself was great because my cousin could sleep in the bedroom while I watched TV in the main room; a sliding door separated the rooms. The bathroom was well designed and clean. The windows were able to be opened from the side and from above. There is a separate charge for parking (approx. $25), Internet access, and for breakfast if you want more than coffee, juice and a roll with butter, honey, or jam. The 13 Euro charge for the other breakfast items (meat, cheese, fresh fruit, cereal, granola, yogurt, etc. was exorbitant. Also, the 1 breakfast table with items that came with the room cost was not easily identifiable from the other two that cost the 13 Euros. Wireless internet access is available by buying 1hr., 2hr. or a higher priced card that gives access for a number of days (sorry, I can't remember how many). The terms of the cards were not explained well. I was told I could log in and out of the internet and use up the time in that manner. As it turned out, with the 1 and 2 hour cards, once you log in, the hour/s start and continue on whether or not you log out. Unfortunately, I wasted my money on 2 2hr. cards before it was explained to me in detail that only with the card with access for a number of days can you log in & out and only be using up your time when you are actually on the internet. However, aside from all the additional charges I was extremely satisfied with the suite and location. The staff was very nice as well, but could have explained the internet cards better. I will definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I'm in Budapest.

Ideal spot for a weekend in Budapest on a middling budget. Staff were VERY helpful (even pointing out where we could go to find some 'ahem, ladies' even though we asked for the opera). Location ideal, rooms quite spacious, but the minibar has a bottle of the foulest red wine I have ever sampled. Breakfast a bit meager. Overall, good value - would happily go there again.

Very nice hotel, staff was exceedingly helpful, outward appearance (including lobby) does not reflect the suite you will stay in nor its spaciousness. Continental breakfast was limited, dining area small. Full breakfast rather pricey. Great location for walking in the city or catching a tour bus.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Both TVs were not working well - notified the front but didn't fix it. I didn't send a second request since we didn't watch TV much. The overall service was excellent. Hotel offer continental breakfast and charge a lot for a couple of hot items (eggs and sausage). Not worth paying if we want hot breakfast. Eat out! We also traveled to Prague and Vienna during this trip, Budapest had the best and least expensive meals of our trip. I would stay here again for the price and comfort. We traveled during the rainy season. Hotel had umbrellas to borrow. Very friendly staff!

Very nice and quiet, with a large suite. No restaurant on the premises, but there is plenty nearby. Close to about everything you would want to see in Budapest. We were very happy with this hotel, and will stay there again.

Nice decorating, on the spartan side, clean, quiet. my only negative is that it is far from tourist sites, but transportation is convenient.

This hotel could not have been better! The hotel is located 2 blocks from the Charles Bridge and is in a beautiful area. Our room was huge, more like an apartment that a room, it even had a kitchen area! The staff was very nice and helped us out with every question we had! Room also comes with a continental breakfast!

Besides being clean, friendly, and spacious, this hotel was right in the middle of some of the most fantastic sights in Budapest!! With easy access to the extraordinary public transportation services in this city and walking distance of more beautiful and historic places than we could see in two days, the Starlight was a great choice for us.

My husband and I stayed at the Starlight Hotel in Budapest during Thanksgiving weekend and it was a wonderful experience. Although the outside does not give one the impression that the hotel is fit, the welcoming front desk is the perfect touch. The employees at the hotel were very helpful in helping us with leisurely activities (for example: finding a movie, shopping, etc.). We really enjoyed their breakfast and the location was a perfect location and from our room, we could see the chain bridge. We really enjoyed our stay and hope that you will take advantage of this wonderful hotel!!

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect. The Chain Bridge is two minutes away, the Metro is 5 minutes, the main shopping street is 5 minutes. It is perfect. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel with no hestiation.

great location in front of the ring bridge in the center of pest, near everything. seconds to saint stefan's church and many other fantastic landmarks of budapest.

Situé sur les bords du Danube, face au Palais Royal, cet hôtel est le point de chute idéal pour bien profiter de la ville. C'est aussi un rapport qualité/prix excellent lors de promotions, avec des suites très confortables et très propres. Je conseille vivement !

Tutto come nella descrizione, suite enorme e pulita, personale gentile ed accogliente, posizione ottimale proprio ad un passo dal ponte delle catene e vicinissima a via Vaci. Visto che siamo arrivati in tarda nottata ci hanno portato la colazione in camera il primo giorno. Il giorno che siamo partiti visto che avevamo il volo in tarda serata ci hanno permesso di lasciare le valigie in hotel così abbiamo guadagnato un altro giorno di visita a Budapest. Davvero ottimo qualità prezzo.

We were very pleased with our rooms at Starlight. The hotel has a great location close to the Vaci shopping street and the Donau. The rooms were quite large with much comfort. The service were excellent and the staff were very friendly when we had quiestions. I will definitely reccomend this hotel to others

Posizione centralissima e comodissima per andare dappertutto, volendo, anche a piedi. La camera è una suite enorme e confortevole ad un prezzo accessibile. Il personale è molto disponibile e gentile. La colazione continentale è buona e ne puoi prendere finchè vuoi.

Pluspunten :Vriendelijke ontvangst,zeer ruime kamers; zeer rustig;prima centrale ligging;goede restaurants in de buurt. Minpunten: airconditioning werkte op één van de kamers nauwelijks; lampjes in badkamer waren stuk en werden niet vervangen; voor deze prijs is het ontbijt ronduit pover( broodje/jam/koffie) het zgn. uitgebreide ontbijtbuffet-bijbetaling 12,50 euro - stelde ook weinig voor

De par sa situation idéale, il est aisé de rayonner tout autour de l'hotel à la découverte des richesses de la ville. Ne manquez pas cependant de vous détendre dans le SPA de l'hotel. Les hotesses à l'accueil sont très ouvertes pour toute explication sur la ville, les accès et les services. Faites vous aider et conseiller! Bon séjour au Starlight!

Sehr zentrale Lage, sauber, freundlicher Service
