art'otel berlin city center west, by park plaza - Berlín

A real let down - stayed here when new 7 yrs ago and fast gone into a decline. Room basic and uncommfortable - damp on interior walls freshly painted over! Parkin for six cars only via tiny lift u can only just get into. Lots of other and better choices locally - new one far superior next door!

Our room was broken into, and the hotel management did not respond appropriately. It turned out that it was easy for anyone to come off the street and enter the elevator. Then, apparently, the maid left the door open for an extended period of time without being present. Needless to say, we do not recommend this hotel for that reason.

The rooms were pleasantly quiet and the included breakfast made this hotel a terrific value. My only complaint was the archaic system employed for opening the guest room doors- it was tricky and painfully hard for someone older with arthritis, like my colleague.

The price is low because the hotel is only so-so - very noisy room (in front of hotel). You can get rooms in the back, but they have no bath tubs. Amenities are very cheap (postage size single bar of soap for 2 people)and not replaced. Walls need repainting. OK for "back packers".

The hotel is in a very convenient location, stores, restaurants, city center. We walked a lot, but also S-Bahn, U-Bahn and buses are nearby. The staff is very accomodating. The hotel is beautifully decorated and wonderfully quiet. We could not hear our neighbours at all. The room was very comfortable with a coffe maker..which was a 'God-sent', since the hotel has no restaurant. They serve a price- worthy breakfast in the bar, which then is made into a dining room. There was no charge for storing our luggage after we had checked out (since we had a whole day before going to the airport).

hotel is in a good location and very close to some lovely restaurants (bleibtreu str. and savignylpatz). the room was big and the beds were very comfortable. the room was clean but the carpets were stained. the hotel staff were not very helpful or very friendly but it didn't spoil our stay.

Ideally situated just a block of the Ku-damm, the art'otel City West Berlin is great for the main shopping drag, handy to the Hauptbahnhof and S-bahn routes right across the city from Uhlandstrasse and Savigny Platz. Rooms are quite adequate, light and airy, bathrooms are minimal but excellent and well thought out - amongst the best we have found anywhere. We didn't breakfast in the hotel, mainly because on arrival we were offered a half-price deal if we booked that evening for every day of our stay - but it was half-price on ?16, which seemed high to us. Instead we breakfasted every day in the beautiful Wintergarten Cafe in the Haus der Literatur, and had an excellent dinner in nearby Restaurant Diekmann. We thought we were fortunate in having a side room, away from the noise of busy Lietzenburger Strasse, but it turned out that the side street was host to a cacophonous refuse collection from 7am. That apart, highly to be recommended and much more reasonable than the trendier art'otel berlin mitte.

Art'otel was a little bit difficult to find as it was not as near to the Zoological Gardens station as we thought. Indeed there is another Art'otel nearer which confused us. However when we arrived we found the staff very friendly and efficient. The hotel seems very new and well looked after. The room was well decorated (the hotel is a homage to Andy Worhol) and tbd fitti he were modern. I requested a twin room for my daughter and I, I there was no gap between them. German pillows are. Very large and square which I found uncomfortable. Bathroom was fantastic! Room service was efficient but would have liked a a way of preparing hot drinks, the mini bar wasnt touched by us! The tv was limited in choice and I was shocked by what I found on channel 31! Be careful if you leave the kids with the remote control. Located in a good part of town, shops and cafes easy to find once you got your bearings. The zoo is well worth a visit.

We really enjoed our stay here. The hotel was very clean and modern. On our first day we arrived after breakfast was served and they put a plate together for us anyway. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the metro though it is a huge plus being by the Zoo station where many trains pass through. The neighborhood is very cute. Great for shopping!

This hotel would be good perhaps for 1 to 2 nights. A tiny closet. Totally impossible key system that drove us both crazy. Only one elevator so waiting was just part of the deal. Nointernet as promised for the firstnight but was fixed by the second.

Das Personal ist freundlich und die Zimmer sind stylish und sauber. Ein sehr nettes Hotel. Wuerde wieder dort uebernachten.

Zentrale Lage, U- und S-Bahn gut zu erreichen. Nettes Ambiente, sauber, eher weichere Matratzen.

Godt hotel til prisen, der er yderst rimelig. Smilende personale. stor renlighed overalt, gratis opkobling til Internet, hvis man selv har medbragt computer. Beliggenhed i en parallelgade til Kurfürstendamm, tæt på Europa-platz og Zoo.

Zeer positief over dit hotel. Opvallend veel vrouwelijke gasten in verhouding tot manneljke. Ruime kamer, zeer ruime en goed voorziene badkamer, centrale ligging, open, gastvrij en behulpzaam personeel, meer dan uitstekend ontbijtbuffet, alles steeds vers aangevoerd. Een van de prettigste hotels waar ik ooit heb verbleven, zeker gezien de prijs/prestatieverhouding. Absolute aanrader

Flotte rom, nydelig morgenmad, god service og super beliggenhed. Vil uten tvil velge det samme hotellet hvis jeg skal tilbake til Berlin.

Es war für uns ein angenehmer Aufenthalt, wir waren auch schon zum 2.Mal im Hotel

Das Hotel liegt recht zentral. Es lässt sich durch einen kurzen Fussmarsch die S-Bahn erreichen, die einen überall hinbringt. Kleiner Haken ist jedoch das das Fachpersonal zur Reinigung ungefragt morgens reinplatzt, jedoch auch schnell wieder geht wenn es bemerkt das das Zimmer noch bewohnt ist.

Zimmer relativ klein sehr zentral gelegen gut klimatisiert bei 30 Grad wichtig. Service kompetent und sehr freundlich für Kurzreise jederzeit wieder

Spændend og fornyende koncept

Vi bodde tre på ett rom. Vi fikk derfor et superior room som var stort, rent og stilig. frokost var ikke inkludert, men vi valgte å betale for frokost på hotellet. Den anbefales og var vel verdt pengene.

Bare positivt å si om hotellet bortsett fra at låssystemet var komplisert. Flere i gruppen måtte ned i resepsjonen for å få hjelp til å låse opp døren til rommet.

Vi var fornøyd på alle måter

Personnel très sympa et serviable, hôtel bien situé, très bon petit déjeuner. Forte odeur de cigarette dans les chambres des étages fumeurs, sinon propre et joliment aménagé (design Andy Wahrol).

Das Hotel ist ein Neubau, sehr zentrumsnah am Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten. Die Zimmer und das ganze sind sehr sauber und künstlerisch modern eingerichtet. Personell sind an der Rezeption alles junge, sehr freundliche Angestellte. Nachteil trotz Klimaanlage: Bei geöffnetem Fenster ist die Nacht sehr laut durch Straßenverkehr, ansonsten Isolierfenster und ruhig. Frühstück sehr teuer.

Hotel liegt zentral. U-Bahn in der Nähe. Preiswerter Parkplatz für 6,-- euro pro Tag ebenfalls in der Nähe. Preise an der Hotelbar leider unpassend. Da geht man lieber in der Nähe etwas trinken für einen Bruchteil des Preises. Schade, wir hätten gerne abends vor oder nach dem Ausgehen mal was dort getrunken.

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, Zimmerausstattung normal, Einrichtung mit Gebrauchsspuren (unser Zimmer), aber ansonsten sauber. Bad ausreichend groß und sauber. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist o.K., Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen.

Sehr kleine Zimmer. Nicht sehr sauber. Im Doppelzimmer lediglich ein Hocker als Sitzgelegenheit. Freundlicher, hilfsbereiter Service.

Hôtel très bien placé, dans un quartier calme, d'une propreté rigoureuse. Personnel accueillant ne parlant pas français mais faisant tout son possible pour nous comprendre et nous satisfaire. Le restaurant est à conseiller. Grande chambre, grande salle de bains, très joli décoration.

Hotel gelegen in West-Berlijn, vlak bij Gedächtniskirche en KDW. Oost-Berlijn is interessanter (musea, Reichstag e.d.) Kamer a.d. zijkant met behoorlijk veel verkeerslawaai, kamer a.d. achterzijde aan te raden. Mooie kamers, met gerieflijk bed. Jammer genoeg zijn ons verblijkf van vier nachten de lakens gee enkele maal verschoond, ondanks ons verzoek! Wonderlijk is ontbreken van shampoo in badkamer. Ontbijt voortreffelijk. Vriendelijke staf

Der Service des Hotels war prima, die Leute an der Reception äußerst hilfsbereit. Die Lage war optimal - 5 Min. Fußweg zur U-Bahn-station. Die Zimmer waren hell, freundlich und sauber.
