Hotel De Gerstekorrel - Ámsterdam

The hotel is central located right by the Dam Square. There is 24 hour reception. I would recommend the hotel if you are just staying a night or two. If you are spending more than 3 nights in Amsterdam, I would recommending upgrading hotels. The hotel would be comfortable for one or two nights, but climbing the steep stairs after 3 nights can tiresome. Overall the hotel is a good value for the location and the price we paid. There was some construction going on, however there is a lot of construction in Europe right now. Avoiding the noise may be unavoidable.

Lived 2 adult and 2 children for 2 nights. Met our expectations for a 2star hotel. Internet was out of function.

This hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. They have a second building so for some reason this means one building has to be no smoking and the second one can allow smoking. This was a big plus for us! The hotel is well situated. You can walk to the train station and most of the attractions. The only negative I have is the very steep stairs and absence of an elevator. For a budget hotel it really is exellent.

We arrived at 6:00 AM, 8 hours berfore check-in, and were allowed to check in early. Very friendly and helpful staff.Had two different stays. First room was very small (should be expected in Amsterdam), but bed was very comfortable.Second room was much bigger and had a great view of the street.Stairs were intimidating, but manageable. Very good location.

The hotel was situated in the best of places - we didn't take public transportation once! Though small and a little noisy (well, Amsterdam is a noisy place anyway), the service and staff were absolutely wonderful, and I feel like i got a good deal with the price I paid. I would recommend this place to anyone that is hitting the Dam to have some serious fun!

Hotel is very tidy. Standard is low, but everything looks like new. The worst thing is staircase, trip to fourth floor takes ages :)

This hotel was given a 4-star rating on the internet. Based on that along with the amount of money which we paid for our stay, we expected a decent and comfortable hotel. Instead what we got was a small so-called hotel, which had 4 floors and no lift where we were sick having to bring all our luggage to the fourth floor with no assistance offered from the hotel. The rooms were very claustrophobic and the bathrooms were very small and the doors would not close properly on them.

Til tross for rene senger var ikke dette noen hyggelig opplevelse. Vi bodde i en tilleggsgård, og her var det ikke rene gardiner, og ikke varmt vann i dusjen! Til tross for ikke-røyk var det eim av luftfrisker da vi kom på rommet og askebeger utplassert. Da vi gjorde oppmerksom på varmtvann ble vi avfeid med at "da var vel vannet brukt opp" fra resepsjonisten. Anbefales ikke.

Varmt och kvavt på rummet, gick ej att öppna fönstret fanns enbart en fläkt som lät som tusan. Otrevlig personal i receptionen, dessutom fanns det ingen hiss så jag fick släpa upp väskorna två våningar. Ganska äckligt hotell generellt sätt, inget jag rekommenderar...

Hotel personal was ok. Hotel is quite cheap, right in the center, very good position, only little bit noisy, but that is the tax for position. Rooms and bathrom are small. and clean.Furnishing quite old. Conclusion, good low-cost hotel. I would recommend it.

Hotel basique, simple, les chambres sont propres il n'y a pas de superflu mais au vu du prix on s'y attendait. Son réel avantage est qu'il est au plus pres du red light district ( meme pas 300 m ). Seul defaut, il y'a deux parties dans cet hotel une qui beneficie du wifi et l'autre non...ca aurait été sympa d'etre prevenu avant...alors demandez a etre dans la partie ou il y'a la connection. Voila 3/5 pour pas mal du tout sans casser des briques.

on a vraiment passé des purs moments. chambre simple avc salle de bain, avc vue sur la rue, un peu de bruits la nuit, mais bon, secondaire face au confort des lits. matage de clips avc la tv avc le son un peu fort et pas d'ennuis par rapport a sa. pas d'horaire pour bouger, cet hôtel vous laisse vivre comme vous le souhaiter sur amsterdam. en plus emplacement très pratique dans les instants de flèmes les coffee sont pas loin et un fast food chinois dans la mm rue.

Globalement plus que positif! Les personnes nous accueillant se sont montrées très disponibles et disposées à nous renseigner. La chambre (literie et locaux) et la salle d'eau étaient très propres. Le seul inconvénient fut la chaleur des locaux malgré la présence d'un ventilateur... Peu de possibilités s'aération car petite fenêtre qui ne pouvait pas s'ouvrir totalement en raison de la présence d'un cran de sureté. Enfin bon, c'est un petit inconvénient pour ceux qui comptent passer des vacances sans forcément passer leur séjour enfermés dans leur chambre, surtout que vous êtes en plein coeur d'Amsterdam en étant en même temps au calme...

Gemessen an der Zimmerqualität viel zu teuer! Das Zimmer war äußerst einfach eingerichtet und die Matratze viel zu weich - ich konnte beide Nächte nur sehr schlecht schlafen. Dann auch noch Zimmer in der 4. Etage mit engen Treppen. Personal war freundlich; keine Frage. Aber das kann den Rest nicht aufwiegen. Dieses Hotel werde ich nie mehr besuchen.

centralissimo ma poco confortevole. stanzetta piccola, materasso non comodo, bagno senza piatto doccia e con areatore che creava bassa temperatura quando ci si recava in toilette.
