The hotel is located right at the heart of the tourist area. It is close to all you want to see in Prague. The price is very much worth what you get for. The hotel is newly renovated. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and cooperative. The rooms are very clean. You feel at home. I would go there again if I go to Prague.

This charming and comfortable hotel would be great for a couple who wanted to be right in the middle of the tourist area and did not require internet access. Unfortunately, my partner and I require wifi or at the very least, internet access for two in our rooms due to extensive internet-based work demands. I spent several hours researching hotels in Prague to ensure that this demand would be easily met and Hotel Rott assured me it would be. When we arrived, drenched from a downpour, we were greeted by the friendly, front-desk agent who provided us with our room very quickly. At check-in, I inquired about wifi access in the room and was told that, in fact, wifi was only available in the reception area and the room itself had only a single plug-in – not what I expected based upon the research conducted on their website, hotels.com, and tripadvisor.com. We spent several hours in the evening in the reception lobby. It was not very comfortable but at least we both had connection. We listened to the front desk clerk all night responding to guest questions. Now that was an experience –very telling of the hotel itself and a bit of the agent’s personal values. I say this because the outcome was not at all flattering and we decided to stay at a different hotel for the remainder of our stay in Prague. The rooms themselves were nicely appointed, managing to fit a desk, mini-refrigerator, TV, and bathroom with towel-warmer – even in the room with the sloped roof that we were assigned. Our bathroom floors were supposed to be heated but we couldn’t get that to work – not a big concern in July but it would have been nice. The breakfast buffet in the Romanesque cellar of the hotel was terrific. There were quite a few choices: bread, toast, fruit, bacon, sausage, sliced meat, cheese, eggs, yogurt, cereal, cakes, juice, coffee, tea, and more – something for everyone it seemed. This hotel is definitely the oldest one I’ve stayed in – begun in the 1200s. The history is quite fascina

You cannot have a better location in PRG. The hotel is nice, with good service. They learned from the registration card that we are staying during my wife's birthday and sent a bottle of champagne to our room to greet her. WiFi inernet works fine. We had a roop at the top floor with no actual windows but a skylight. It worked just fine and reduced the street noise coming in.

This hotel was in a wonderful location, close to restaurants, historic sites and walking distance to the train station. The air conditioning was difficult to operate and had no instructions. The biggest problem was a persistant banging heard all night. We finally figured out that it was the elevator. I would stay here again, but request a room away from the elevator.

This hotel's location right in Old Town Square was great! The room was a decent size for Europe. The people at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. Overall a great place to stay. Well worth the price.

The location of this hotel was brilliant, literally 2 minutes walk from the Old Town Square and about 10 minute walk from Charles Bridge. The hotel was lovely but we had booked a twin room and the layout was very odd as the 2 beds were head to head, the room was long and narrow and quite claustrophobic. We asked to change to a different room but there were none available and the hotel staff could not understand why we didn't like the room. Despite all this, i would recommend this hotel, purely for the location.

I agree with most of the reviews I read before the trip. This hotel is the greatest location. It is situated right between the main square and Charles Bridge. As I had read before, the beds were not very comfortable, but for the price and location I was happy. Some of the rooms were being renovated but I didn't hear any noise because of it and hopefully that means that in the near future there will be more rooms. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I hope I get to go back some day.

Taking into consideration that you are staying directly in the middle of the most tourist centered location in the city, it couldn't have been a better base for us while in Prague. There were a couple nights that we could hear tourists enjoying themselves outside in the square, but aside from that the room was comfortable for two, the hotel is beautiful and with an included breakfast at this price it is an absolute steal. The staff was helpful and very friendly. If we come back to Prague, we will be staying here.

Hotel Rott is right around the corner from the Old Town Square so the location is perfect! The people at the front desk were always very friendly and helpful. We requested a room change when we arrived because we could hear EVERY word being said in the room next door to us. They were happy to help us and moved us the next day to a quieter room.

A truly wonderful location right in the centre of everything - 2 minutes from the Old Town Square and less than 10 minutes walk to the Charles Bridge. We are a family of 4 with 2 children ages 8 and 10. We had an apartment room that had a very comfortable double bed for the adults and a rather lumpy sofa bed for the kids. They didn't complain, but we wouldn't have slept on it! As many previous guests have commented, the shower is virtually unusable for anything other than rinsing your hair - impossible to have a shower in the morning as no curtain and is positioned less than a metre above the bath! Having said that, these are our only gripes. Staff were attentive and helpful. Tables cleared quickly in the morning at breakfast, although an early arrival is recommended to ensure there's something left worth eating! Breakfast was fine, if a little crowded at 9.15am. On the whole i would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a prime location at a reasonable price. Very good choice of (italian inspired) restaurants around the hotel, but avoid the Old Town Square for food as overpriced and of questionable quality. If we revist the wonderful old city we will stay in the Hotel Rott again.

Nice hotel with an excellent breakfast. Location second to none just off the Old Town Square. My room was located right by the bar next door which had loud music playing til about 2am, but others in our party were at the other side of the hotel with no such problems. Beware the minibar, though! Prices were astronomical. CZK195 (About GBP6.50/USD12) for a bottle of water!

We had a wonderful stay in prague. The hotel was in a very convinient location next to the old town square and astronomical clock. It was very atmospheric especially at xmas. Hotel was very smart with lovely cafe and restuarant attached. Room quite narrow but very smart and everything you need to hand. Staff attentive and friendly. Above all though the location is spot on especially for sights such as charles bridge, jewish quarter and national theatre.

This is a great hotel for a couple of days sight seeing in Prague, it's at historic centre of the city and within 5 minutes stroll of every major sight, the Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, Jewish Quarter, Astronomical clock, with the Castle and Wencaslas square only slightly further away. The hotel is an older building, the rooms are a generous and airy, the service is friendly and on the whole everything is clean and tidy. On the downside, the difference between good and excellent is in the detail. As it is an older building there are some signs of age, the windows are just a touch draughty, the tiling in the shower has gone a bit manky on grouting, the floor is a bit creaky, none of it is enough to say that it really detracted from the experience but just enough to be able to say I have seen better, for preference my wife would have preferred a bath rather than a shower and it was difficult to see if many of the rooms had one or the other. I'd describe it as semi-skimmed luxury rather than full fat but worth it all the same.

We arrived on the site and were very inpressed by the professionalism of the staff. Our room was a suite, with separate bedroom, and a good sized bathroom. The continental breakfast was wonderful, a lot of choices. The staff was on hand 24 hours a day to help with any thing that we needed. This hotel was in a great area for sight seeing.

Eğer tekrar prag a gidersem kesinlikle burada kalırım. Herkese tavsiye ederim.

This hotel is a really good option if you want to live close to everything downtown Prague. Really good service and helpful hotel staff. Cozy and romantic old style hotel with a soul. The breakfast in the basement have whatever you want, and everything is fresh and tasteful. Only missing a curtain in the shower so that you dont wet all the floor in the bathroom.
