Hotel Helios - Juan-les-Pins

I stayed in Helios for 5 days in September and really enjoyed my vacation. In comparison with other hotels rate was very good. Location was not bad - only 3 minutes to the beach. 2 stored parking but not convenient if you have a long car. Breakfast does not include in rate.

We had a great time. Great location convenient to everything Juan Les Pins has to offer as well as super convenient to the Train and Bus. Service was very good and very friendly, they coped very well with our poor/non-existent French. About as good as you could hope for the money. Plenty of food close by at all prices, Boulangerie next door, Supermarche a few doors away and dozens of restaurants within 200 metres.

I enjoyed the kind hospitallity of the Hotel's staff. and I had a very good time during my stay in Hellios Hotel.

we booked this long weekend break for the 25 nov till 29th nov 2008. when we arrived at the airport, we enquired from shuttle service rep's if they went to the hotel . they looked up their list and said it wasnt on their list, but took us to the driver who said it was on his way. we were taken to the hotel and it was complementary, gr8 start, the hotel was a few meters from the beautiful beach . we got a room with a sea view and balcony . a bus service ran near the hotel bus 200 and it ran between nice and Cannes cost per ride was 1 euro, some people were charged between 45 to 65 euros on a taxi. so we used the bus a few times to go to nice and Cannes for over a very pleasant stay gr8 bars and restaurants very close and we will be going back again < very friendly and helpfull staff at the hotel.

I've never traveled to this area before, so this is new to me. My review will contradict Jefri's a bit. We do not speak French and found that the front desk did not speak very good English. However, they spoke enough to get by. Sometimes it took some time to be understood by them or us. But it was manageable. Jefri also indicated that they need to work on the air conditioning. Our room was like a freezer and we couldn't find a way to adjust the temperature. But asked at the desk and found that there was a remote, so all was well with the temperature of our room. Helios is not on the beach but is only a short walk. We found the beaches to be great. Somewhat small and crowded on the weekend, but still wonderful. The restaurants on the beach were fabulous. Great atmosphere and the food was good. Shopping in Juan les Pins was only OK, but it is only a short way to Antibes which was a beautiful town with great shopping. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We sent some laundry and my husband's favorite white shirt came back with a track of small rust spots going all the way down the shirt, so I don't recommend their laundry service. One other concern is that the door to the balcony locks automatically if you close the door. My husband got locked out. Fortunately I was in the room to let him in. But our neighbors got locked out and had to yell for help until we heard them and called to the desk to have them come and let them back into their room. So, stay away from their laundry service and don't lock yourself onto the balcony and you will have a great say at Hotel Helios in Juan les Pins!

If your traveling in the South of France and you can't afford Cannes or St Tropez then Juan-les-Pins is a good moderate choice for you. Great places to eat and good shopping their beaches are just ok but the Hotel Helios has a partner on the beach with a great restaurant. The one good thing about staying in Jan-les-Pins is its location. Every day we traveled some where new. The Hotel management all speak very good english and can direct you. They need to work on the air conditioning. I'm 45 and live in NYC and a world traveler so I expect the best. Never go to the South of France during the Cannes Film Festival and the Grand Prix if you do you will find yourself in the mix of millions of people. JIG

100 meters to the beach, kind, polite and service minded staff at Hotel Helios. Nice restaurants and good shopping near the hotel.

Et hyggeligt hotel med gode værelser og venlig betjening og god beliggenhed. Med egen plads på stranden med solvogne, suppleret med en god strandbar.

Hotellet hade hög standard med fräscha och rena rum, 24-tim service, oerhört trevlig och hjälpsam personal och slutligen ligger hotellet väldigt bra til - närhet både till den underbara stranden samt till hamnen etc.

Hotellet ligger svært sentralt til. Service ved hotellet er god. Særlig er den hjelp du får i resepsjonen god. Resepsjonistene snakker godt engelsk og er svært imøtekommende og hyggelige.

4stars seems optimistic. Cleaning could be improved. Standard rooms needs maintenance painting. Excellent location in peaceful area near the beaches.

L'emplacement est idéal, pas de vue sur la mer, mais situé à 200 mètres de la plus belle plage de Juan-les-Pins. Places de parking nombreuses à proximité (la nuit). Chambres spacieuses et literie très confortable!

Koselig hotell, meget hyggelig betjening. Prima beliggenhet i et koselig område.

Geweest in Mei 2008. Prima hotel, goede ligging met eigen strandtent (tegen betaling maar de prijzen liggen in lijn met de rest van Juan les Pins). Beetje verouderde inrichting (veel bruine tinten, doet erg jaren 70-80 aan). Wel netjes, alle voorzieningen aanwezig. Ruime kamers met airco en ventilator, ruim balkon, goede bedden en twee stoelen binnen en twee op balkon. Er zijn vast goedkopere hotels en ook veel duurdere. Dit is een goede middenweg

L'accueil est agréable, le personnel sympathique, la situation de l'hôtel et son parking très appréciables. Par contre le balcon souillé par les fientes de pigeons n'a jamais été nettoyé. Beaucoup de bruit le samedi soir.

Het hotel is prima gelegen in het Centrum van Juan Les Pins. Zij zaten aan de voorkant op een van de bovenste verdiepingen en hadden daardoor een prima uitzicht op zee. Kamers zijn prima, personeel behulpzaam. VOor je rust is dit niet de lokatie. Zeer veel lawaai van feestvierende jongeren. Dat zorgde voor behoorlijk wat overlast. Mocht je het treffen zoals wij dan zijn je buren ook nog nachtbrakers. Diverse keren om 1 uur 's nachts mijn bed uitgegaan en gevraagd of ze stil konden zijn.
