Todos los hoteles en Bayswater - Paddington"very convenient and friendly hotel sat great location"

We spent five nights at this hotel on the begining of September. The hotel provided everything we needed - hot water, fluffy towels, cleanliness, free wireless (Wi-Fi) for laptop in the room 9which was a nice surprise, I thought I'd have to pay) and a friendly stuff. Breakfast was good, not included, and I recommend booking it (for extra) in advance, I think it's cheaper that way than what we paid (5.90 pound per person per meal). The room is very small but it didn't matter to us. There was no air condition in our room, but at this time of the year it wasn't necessary. Notice that the desk in the corner of the room is attached to the wall; I dropped a ring by mistake between the desk and the wall and couldn't reach to get it out by myself, but the cleaning lady very efficiently helped getting it out. We would definitely stay again. The hotel is located on a very quiet street, and for some shopping and restaurants you can go a few metres to the parallel st., Queensway, where there are also two tube stations. We liked the "Bella Italia" restaurant (we ate in the one that's located closer to Bayswater Rd., there's another one down the street). If you go to Westminster area, you can take route 148 from the same station, it's not on the Key bus routes map.

I stayed at the Hyde park towers hotel for one night. for the price range this hotel is in it is of a good standard. You do get some noise from the tube but its nothing a pair of ear plugs wouldn't solve. The breakfast is ok for the price, and the location is excellent (only 3 tube stops to the centre of London) i would deffinately stay again.

Me and my fiance stayed here on the 23rd August on a trip to london to see family. The hotel could do with a lot of improvement. We could hear everything that was going on in the hallway in our room, which was incredibly irritating especially when the cleaners did thier rounds at about 9 in the morning. The bathroom was terrible, so small you could probably use the toilet, brush you teeth and wash your hair at the same time! The hallways were also very narrow, which especially became a porblem (not to mention a bit of a H&S hazard) when the cleaners left all of thier products and rubbish from the rooms across them. To me it seemed as if the went thorugh a lot of effort to make the entrance and reception look very welcoming and attractive, however as soon as you go up the lift it seemed as if we were in a hostel. The restaurant was also a disapointment, we sat down in an empty restaurant and waited for 10 minutes to be served, only to then find the waitress who was supposed to be manning the restaurant chatting with the other staff at recepetion. Another problem was that none of the staff spoke adequete english meaning that it became very difficult to communicate as neither of us understood each other. However, the location was great as we were a 2 minute walk from Bayswater tube station and Hyde Park was right at the end of the road. Overall, the hotel was fine as a cheap place to stay for the night, but neither of us would stay again.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. The problem we had was that no-one had warned us about the noise from the nearby tube line/station.At 1 point we thought the trains were coming into the room. However when I asked to move rooms the staff were more than helpful and moved us up to the 3rd floor which was much better.

Overall a lovely hotel, very close to Bayswater tube - ideal location for sightseeing in central London. Good apearance from outsidewarm and impressed with warm reception and service throughout the stay. Room clean if a little basic and maybe ready for a lick of paint? Unfortunately didnt have a view - but didnt expect it for the price, personally didnt mind this as was looking only for a clean room to get a comfortable nights sleep. Would recommend the opting for the continental breakfast. Would stay again for sure.

I am told that "London Standards" in terms of hotels stays are not like our American Standards... but I did not enjoy our hotel stay at this place. Cons: Room was dingy and small. Carpets were in terrible need of replacing. Windows were awful and provided no ventilation. TV was practically on the ceiling and was not conducive to actually watching. Minimum of 4 channels was appalling too. The bathroom was so small, that my father (who has a bit of a belly) could not turn around in the bathroom... he had to 'back in' to the toilet. I could use the toilet and brush my teeth at the same time... that is how close the sink basin was to the toilet. There were no pictures on the wall making the room so dreary looking and noticed the horrible paint job. Minimal walking space to begin with, but after you put your luggage down... no room at all! No luggage trolleys or bell boys to help you with your bags! The buffet breakfast was completely overrated for what they were charging. A bar was open pretty late. The concierge arranged for me a taxi to the airport for 45 pounds... and then i found it 10 pounds cheaper 1 block away using a third party... I felt taken advantage of. The only good thing was that there were 2 rental laptops (very small and slow), but they were equpipped with wi-fi and spent a few pounds for an hour. The location was close to Hyde Park and 2 tube stations. Location was the only thing this hotel had to offer... and I'm used to staying in motels, so my standards for comfort are minimal!

I was looking for an affordable hotel, so I knew this hotel wasn't going to blow me away. It felt safe, clean and there were a lot of travelers there - so I felt comfortable. There was also a concierge which was surprising. My only complaints are that it was listed as having AC in the rooms, which was not true, and my window didn't lock. It was on the ground floor and being a single girl it made me a little nervous - although there were bars over the window. Finally, the train ran right under the room, so every 10 minutes or so the room would shake, really hard. Obviously not a problem during the day b/c I was out, but it did wake me up in the mornings. Overall it was clean, the staff was responsive and if you got a room that wasn't ground level I think all of my complaints would have vanished.

Good impression walking in - lobby is quite nice, but then I was told my room was LG! And it was - in the basement! No help offer with luggage. I got to the room past and over 4 large piles of laundry and this was 3.30 in the a/noon!I'd booked a DBL but oh dear the size was very small - infact I was so shocked and disappointed that I called reception and asked if the room was a joke!! Eventually they offered to move me next day - but I had to push for it - no one showed much willingness to help. Went I commented that surely rooms that had been booked, and paid for, months before should be given the best available I was told "No it doesn't work like that!" In their favour I will say - the bed was comfortable and the linen clean and fresh. Breakfast was another difficult area with no one willing to make a decision and realise that the customer comes first and their business pays the wages. OK the location is very handy for 2 Tube Stations + lots of little convenience shops and a couple of I/net places.....BUT, never again will they get my booking - or recommendation - good price or not!!

The hotel looked okay from the outside but once you got in, it looked tired and run down. We were staying in a twin room on the first floor. The room wasn't clean at all, the carpet had black stains near the desk (which also was rundown and chipped), the armchair was stained with bleach, the carpet at the bathroom door was stained yellow/orange colour. In the bathroom it was tiny with hardly any room to move. The door frame had flaking paint and was dirty and the ceiling had blistered and peeled away, again it was stained with black patches all over. I was very disappointed and I would now pay more to stay in somewhere clean with a better service.

Could not be happier for our first time visiting London with the courteous and helpful staff. The location was tops for all the must see sights, and the concierge arranged a tour of surrounding sites to pick us up at the hotel. A good complementary continental breakfast was had by my wife each morning. And the cleaning staff did the best they could with what they had to work with. That being said I have never paid so much for a dirtier, grungier, wore down, small room in my life. I am not a complainer, but when my feet stick to the carpet and the floor felt like you could fall through to the next floor that is pretty bad. When we are afraid to walk in our room barefoot that's pretty bad. The ants around the tea pot seem to enjoy the room more than us. It was definitely more their size - only room for one smallish ant and one average size person to cross the room at the same time, that's pretty bad.

I stayed at the HPTH for six days in February. Since this was an off-peak date and possibly due to the tanking economy, we got an insanely low rate for London. Yes, the rooms are small by US standards. Yes, the carpets need to be replaced. But really, are you going to London to hang out in your hotel room and stare at the carpet? What's nice about the hotel is that it is about two blocks from one tube station on the circle line, and only about 4 or 5 blocks from a station on the central line. All of London is therefore readily accessible. The hotel is also about a five minute walk away from Kensington Gardens, through which one can walk to many major attractions such as the V&A Museum, the natural history museum, Harrod's, etc. I paid the extra few pounds for daily breakfast, and it was worth the money to me to be able to come downstairs and have OJ and some fruit for breakfast. Don't expect Denny's though; if you want a hot breakfast, you have to pay for that. The staff was attentive and the room was adequately attented to every day. I may be more easygoing than most folks, but I really have no complaints with this hotel.

I had actually stayed at this hotel in September and chose to stay there again. Although the room was small it was more than adequate for my overnight stay and the free internet really closed the deal. My stay in September and the hotels location are great, hence my interest to stay there again, especially at the price I was able to get. Unfortunately my February stay was awful. The put me in a tiny, damp, cold room in the basement surrounding by smoking rooms and a hallway that reeked of cigarette smoke even though I requested a non-smokig room. Although they had a seperate space heater in the room it was virtually impossible to get warm and the internet did not work at all. The manager was unwilling to move me to another room. Although I like the area and my first visit to the hotel, I would have a hard time recommending it or ever staying there again.

As others have said plenty of restaurants nearby and also a shopping centre that has a M&S Simply Food and a Tesco's opposite it, so plenty of places to get things to eat. Room was small but adequate, was cleaned well and comfortable. Only downside was the window was very old and wouldn't stay open on its own. Staff were very friendly and I would definitely stay there again.

The price was good and the location, But the first night, they put me in the basement in a smoker's room. I have never been a smoker. That in itself was not a big deal because the room did not smell like tobacco. It did, however, smell like sewer gas in the bathroom. I was tired and thought it was temporary. So I went to sleep. The next morning when I opened the bathroom door, however, the smell was so bad, I gagged and wretched. I got out of there and set about doing the things I had come to London to do. When I returned in the evening, the smell was still there. I politely told the desk. She said she would have the maintenance staff look at it in the morning. The she got her "colleague,' who I assume was the night manager. He went down to the room with me. First he said there was no problem, he didn't smell anything. Then he said the bathroom vent was on, implying that should take care of the none-existent problem. Then he asked if I wanted some "spray." He returned with a spray can of Glade. That masked the odor temporarily. I asked him if there was any danger from the odor, as I recognized it as *sewer gas." He agreed to move me -- but not until the next evening. They did that, to a room on the 2nd floor and it was much better. I had to go up north for four days. When I returned (I already had reservations and could not afford to move), they put me in another below-ground room. Same problem but not quite as severe. I kept the bathroom door closed and that helped some. When I got back to the US, I discovered that sewer gas doesn't simply smell bad, it is *toxic." We stayed at this hotel for 3 days. The room was all right, since we were only sleeping in it. However upon our arrival, the elevator was broken. The front desk clerk asked us to wait while she called someone to help us. He eventually showed up and proceeded to stand around while we hefted our luggage up to our room. While it was on the first floor, we had to go up a series of little steps and turn to get to our room. Once there, we noticed that the pack n play, which we needed for our 1 year old toddler, was not there. When I passed the front desk with the next load of luggage, she said she would take of it. By the time I was heading up the stairs, a cleaning lady popped out of a door (nearly scared me to death) and informed me that the pack n play would have to wait until the elevator was fixed - she told me this as I was hefting three bags of luggage on a staircase. I told her that was unacceptable and she needed to talk to someone else because I didn't care to hear it. It was 4:00 and my child needed to nap asap! Check in time was at 3:00 so as far as I was concerned, they had plenty of time to carry the (small) pack n play up the stairs. Once inside, they did bring the pack n play (after I spoke with a few more people about it) but the carpet was appallingly filthy, the bathroom was barely large enough to enter and close the door (the sink was behind the door - you almost had to step into the tub to get to it) and was less then impeccable. There were no sheets on the bed, just a comforter (duvet), and even though it was comfortable and down, the fact that there was very little between myself and previous guests grossed me out quite a bit. Another note on the pack n play (portable crib): the sheets that were brought with it were twin sized bed sheets. As I have a toddler, I was not concerned, but this is incredibly unsafe for infants and really shocking. Because of the high risk of SIDS, infants need tight fitting bedding at all times. The hotel is very conveniently located close to Basewater and Queensway tube stations within a block. The trade off is the noise from the subway. After the first night, I start to get used to it. The back street, queensway, has tons of souvenir shops and restaurants with very reasonable prices. You have Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Russian, and Middle Eastern restaurants all within 2 blocks. Clothing stores with bargain price are also nearby. Banks and currency exchange stores are also close by. They even have a shoe repair shop close by in case your ladies' high heels need some services. Tesco, a UK equivalent 7-11 store is within a block and does open from 7am to 11pm. Sandwiches and pastas are very fresh with very reasonable price. A supermarket is in a shopping building with aisles of desserts. The room I stayed in is a double room. The bathroom in my room is in a fairly good size according to American standard. I get a bathtub with shower head so no body turning issue. One desk, one chair, one nightstand, one clothing cabinet and a double size bed in the room leaves only limited room for movement and 2 pieces of big check-in luggage. We have to put 2 carry-on cases in the clothing cabinet to give room to lay down and open check-in luggage cases. Housekeeping is very good but the fresh changed towels have a strange smell maybe resulted from cleaning solutions. Continental breakfast taste very good. Overall experience is very good.

I booked two twin rooms at The Hyde Park Towers Hotel for my family's recent visit to London. I chose this Hotel for its location, round the corner from the Bayswater Tube Station and a short walk to a varied selection of restaurants. We booked in for a two night stay. Our rooms were on the second floor, spacious and well presented. The only downside were creaking floorboards from the room above - the occupant was keen to do a clog dance in the early hours! I would recommend the hotel try and put in extra insulation between the floors and nail the boards down more securely. Apart from that, our stay was very enjoyable, the hotel was very comfortable. We had a cooked breakfast in the hotel on Saturday morning which was adequate, the service a little slow, due to excess people booked in. We enjoyed the location of the hotel, after breakfast we walked all the way down Bayswater Road to Marble Arch and into Oxford Street, which took about twenty minutes. We would certainly stay at this hotel in the future and recommend it to friends.
