Becquer Hotel - Sevilla

I cannot fault the hotel or Seville in the slightest. The staff at the hotel were excellent, friendly, helpful and obliging. The location of the hotel was superb within walking distance of all major sites. I can't wait to go back!

This hotel is excellent. Set in a great location close to lots of local attractions, in a very pretty area. The satff were very helpful and the hotel is extremely clean I would definitely return.

Hotel was iin excellent location within a five minute walk to the Giralda as well as the main shopping areas. Santa Cruz was a further 5 minutes walk, this area was excellent for eating local dishes.The rooftop pool afforded us with a impressiveview over the city and a direct view to the Giralda. It was most beautiful at sunset. Staff in the hotel were frindly and assisted with recommending places to eat etc, as well as giving the directions. There were six within our group and all of our rooms were a great size, equipped with all you would expect from a four star hotel. Rooms were very clean and bathrooms were large. Would stay there again.

A very pleasant experience.The hotel is conveniently located close to all the main tourist attractions.The rooms were very comfortable and the a/c dealt with the unseasonable high temperatures very well.The pool on the roof was refreshing after this very hot weather.

Overview of the hotel far exceeds the reality. Reasonably well maintained but very old furnishings and amenities. We found the staff to be noticeably unhelpful. Of note, the major construction occurring in the hotel during our stay was a somewhat unexpected surprise. Our trip to Seville was unfortunately diminished by our experience at the Becquer.

The hotel rooms are well appointed, spacious and comfortable. Very quiet despite being on a major street. The staff was very helpful with recommendations and reserving shows and restaurants. Easy walk to major sights - the Giralda, Alcazar, as well as the river front on the other side. Convenient access by car if you are driving.

We honeymooned in Seville...The hotel was awesome---great location, great room, we had a private balcony---Room 602---great view of the city. Clean, relatively quiet at night considering such a busy street. Front desk was agreeable but not especially helpful. And the A/C was weak in our room but tolerable...But neither took away from our wonderful stay. The restaurant downstairs and room service food were both fantastic! I definitely recommend this hotel.

The size of the room was great. Although there was construction and we could hear some noise from the neighbors -- several other reviews had mentioned this -- it was more muffled than I thought. The front desk was lovely and helpful, and the hotel is right in front of a taxi stand.

The Hotel Becquer has a great location for touring Seville. Located next to the river, you can walk across the bridge to Triana for great dining. You can walk to the bullring, the Archealogical Museum and most of the shopping and great restaurants. When you get tired of walking, you can catch a ride back to the Hotel Becquer on one of the hundreds of horse drawn carraiges that navigate the streets in Seville.

This hotel is in a great location to walk the more touristy areas of Seville. Very close to shopping, the Cathedral, Alcazar, the Bull Ring, and a river crossing bridge. Some good quaint tapas bars nearby, and the restaurant attached was nice for breakfast. I would recommend this hotel and I would probably stay there again.

We stayed here in mid-Sept '08. It was a fantastic location for sightseeing which can all be done on foot in Seville. Great bars and restaurants nearby. Only minutes to the Cathedral and the bullring, and of course shopping. Some great shops, with Spanish designers, in Seville. The pool on the roof is a brilliant asset in Seville's hot weather

Car parking exellent,Staff could'nt be more helpful,easy access to rooms. Website very helpful and easy to book your stay,within walking distance to main attractions.

We enjoyed our stay

Becquer is a good hotel; not outstanding but good. We were given a large-by-Euro standards room with working A/C (Rm. 214). Everything was fine until the day of our departure, a Monday. Early in the morning we heard a lot of noise and wondered what was going on. Apparently they had decided to remodel the entire 2nd floor. Workmen were carrying pieces of frames and other parts out of the rooms on the second floor and it appeared we were the only guests left there while everyone else had checked out on Sunday. Since the checkout tme was 12 and our flight was at 2:30 pm we had to go out and kill time until the checkout time. This may or may not happen again but if they decide to renovate all the floors, one by one, there will inevitably others that will find themselves in the same situation. The hotel has a pretty good restaurant with access from the street apart from its in-house restaurant which we didn't try. The location is excellent. There is a small pool on the 7th floor where you can enjoy a decent view of the surrounding areas.

the hotel was within walking distance to all the major attractions. the front desk was helpful. The hotel doesn't look like much from the outsdie, but the rooms are great.

Not bad, but nothing special either... the location was great and the rooftop pool was a nice extra on a hot day!!!

The location was convenient, which is why we chose this hotel. It is about a 5-10 minute walk from the main square in Seville. Our room had a mildew smell, though it wasn't terrible and we just ignored it. The beds were not particularly comfortable, but the rooms were nice enough and the hotel lobby was nice looking. The staff spoke English and were helpful.

This hotel has a great location for seeing the sights of Seville. Loved that it was walking distance to shopping, Alcazar, etc. However, it lacks in service in the kids department. The restaurant closes around 4 and doesn't reopen until 7:30pm (inconvienent if you have little ones)- not much room service selection, and the staff is not too accomodating when it comes to parking, extra needs, or information. If you have no kids and don't mind late dinners, this is a great deal for the money.

Dejligt hotel- med store flotte og rene værelser. Dejlige store senge. God morgenmad og effektiv men absolut venlig betjening. Beliggenhed godt centrlat og god tilkørselsforhold.

Attention hotel à Grenade et PAS Séville. Très bon hotel, propre, service parfait. Piscine sur la terrasse bien agréable quand il fait chaud ! Seul bémol : difficulté pour comprendre la subtilité entre les 2 types de petits-déjeuners proposés. Prix du simple au double sans explication de la composition desdits petits-déjeuners ! Prix parking très cher 15 €/nuit

great location, hotel a little dated, but service excellent staff terrrific, room fair sized, double beds, had problems with computer while there, but it is walking distance to everywhere. new very nice bathrooms as well. nice little spa with excellent massuse, cheap only 32 euros with use of spa. nice pool as well, not large but when not super busy, it was great.. went in august and it was 47 degrees c....not a super 4 star like in America, but nice.and convenient.

Excellente situation proche du centre ville, la possibilité d'utilisation gratuite de café thé ou tisane régulièrement alimenté est une bonn chose. Pour le buffet petit déjeuner, rien à à dire, pas pour les horaires, dimanche matin 10H40 service à la "va vite" avec un personnel à la limite du correct, trop vite empressé de satisfaire son déjeuner en salle clients !!!
