Best Western Villa des Artistes - París

The guest room was small, but the picture was accurate. The room was nicely decorate, we actually stayed in the room #509 featured. A clerk at the desk an elderly guy or at least he appeared to be elderly that was quite rude. He insisted that we leave our key at the front desk whenever we left the hotel!!?!! We had been there 3 days going on 4 and had never heard this requirement before laying eyes on him. He actually locked the sliding glass door that night when he saw us coming because he didn't have our key and he said, "again you leave here without leaving your key!!!" Thank God that was the first and last night that he worked while we were there. We stayed 7 days. We had a friend in town as well that stayed in a hotel that was more upscale for only $40 dollars more a night and closer to Champs Elysees. I would stay there again.

This hotel is perfect for a stay in Paris. It is located right beside a metro line which means no matter where you are in Paris you can always get back to the hotel easily. Breakfast was available in the hotel however we always chose to eat in any of the numerous nearby cafes and restaurants as they are cheaper. We had 2 twin rooms and they were great, very clean & comfortable the bathrooms were well stocked with toiletrees & loads of towels. Receptionists speak excellent english & are very helpful. Overall really impressed and would strongly recommend!

We only had one week to stay in Paris and wanted to see it all. It's been 25 years since our last visit and with a free round trip ticket to Paris for my husband and I though our reward points all we needed was a comfortable, quite hotel where we could cleanup, get rest and take off. Money is tight right now in so may ways. We were able to economize our stay by using the hotel room refrigerator to stock cheese, fruit and baked goods. My husband and I have food allergies and are unable to take advantage of the breakfast buffet, but that was an extra that we did not have to pay for. Wonderful bakery around the corner, great places to eat within a two block area. Metro stop, ATM machine, grocery market all within a block. Very quite at night. We slept like kittens after a full day of playing. Would I stay there again. Yes!! I need to improve my French before returning to France again, but in all we had a wonderful stay and the staff was generally helpful.

This hotel was perfect! The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was in a great location, right beside the metro station and 5 mins walk to Montparnasse Boulevard with all the shops, cafes and restaraunts. The area was nice and quiet at night which meant we had a great sleep! The room was lovely (club room), it had tv, mini bar, air conditioning etc. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as it was a bit pricey but there are plenty of nearby cafes for breakfast. We will definitley stay in this hotel again when we return to Paris.

Very quiet, clean, and newly renovated. Friendly staff. A good value for Paris. I also loved the neighborhood, safe, and very well located.

Once you get past the: no elevator for 4 days and counting, 1 day of internet and then a 2-3 month construction project in the bar which knocks out internet for the same time- why? You also have to pay for the wi-fi which wasn't clear to me from the ad .The hotel has some advantages. Clean and good size room, recently remodeled. Great neighbourhood with great restaurants and cafes, metro access and Lux Garden too. Worse part not even a "sorry for the incovenience" from the manager only "OK" if you have to change hotels- wow!

The room was clean however tiny as expected in Paris. Did see a bigger room at Hotel Mercure around the corner for similar price. Since there is not a front desk person round the clock, getting into the hotel after hrs or early morning can be a bit of a problem if the attendant does not answer the front door. The overall area where the hotel is located is pretty decent, however if you are a first time traveller to Paris, would recommend staying in the Montmatre area. That area is more character to it.

The Room is'nt large to American standards, but all you do is sleep in it. The bathroom was clean and fully functional. The shower curtain was to small and the floor got wet alot. Quiet area, no real noise problem. Front desk people were very helpfull and pleasent and spoke good English. Very close to restaraunts and cafe's. The Vavin Metro is one block away, very handy indeed for those longer treks around Paris. USE the METRO!

My stay at the charming hotel was great. It was right in the middle of the city center, near restaurants and shops. Located on the Left Bank of the river, it is a perfect place to stay to get in an around Paris for not alot of money. The metro stations are on the next block. The room which I had was small (single) but clean. Front desk was nice enough to assist me in getting a transportation to the Airport.Front desk spoke english which was helpful. Would stay there again when in Paris.

All of these ratings are based on moving to a more spacious, quieter, non-smoking room. The first room was small with a noisy refrigerator. However, the staff was very helpful in moving us to a better room.

Petit hotel sympa à quelques pas du jardin du Luxembourg et de plusieurs 'métro' (Vavin, Denfert-Rochereau, Montparnasse). Au coeur de St-Germain des Prés et les bords de Seine en 20-30minutes à pieds en passant par les rues sublimes du 6e. Hotel très propre et acceuillant. Calme car un peu en retrait des grandes artères et assez bien insonorisé.

Vriendelijke en ontspannen ontvangst, kamer niet al te groot, maar wel goed, netjes en licht. Ontbijt tot 10.30. vlak bij de Boulevard Monparnasse.

Godt gedigent hotel. Fine rene værelser og beliggende, så man ikke generes af gadelarm. Venligt personale der er fint diskrete, men virker nærværende og oprigtigt høflige. Beliggende med adgang til 3 metroer og RER indenfor få min. gang og med Jardin du Luxembourg i "baghaven". Gåafstand til latinerkvarteret. Ligger på grænsen mellem 6. og 14. arr. Perfekt til en forlænget weekend. Et lille minus er måske, at vi kunne høre, når dem i værelset ovenpå rumsterede, grundet knirkende gulvbrædder. Men i det hele taget en positiv oplevelse af hotellet.

Supert hotell. Hyggelig betjening. Meget bra renhold. Stilt og rolig nabostrøk. Ypperlig utgangspunkt i gangavstand til de fleste av Parises severdigheter.

Actuellement en travaux à l'étage où j'étais. je me suis retrouvé coincé dans l'eascenseur.

En plus de sa situation ideale, l'hotel possede qques chambres "arty" au decor recherche et moderne sans etre pour autant pretentieux. Les chambres sont petites mais confortables. Nous n'avons pas vu les chambres standards. Petit dejeuner a 15 euros non inclus, copieux et varie.
