Citadines Apart'hotel Paris Bastille Marais - París

We stayed at the hotel because a friend was also staying there. While the sofa bed in the studio apartment was not the most comfortable and while there was street noise to contend with, there was also air conditioning on a very hot day and with the windows closed the street noise was tolerable. The staff was English speaking and reasonably friendly. The location was very central and close to a metro stop. It was nice having a small kitchen in the room and the bathroom was clean! Considering that Paris is a rather expensive city, I thought the hotel was a good value for the money spent and I would recommend the hotel to others.

The hotel is very nice and clean. If you are a Simenon fan, remember Maigret's apartement was on Av. Richard Lenoir. It is not exactly the part of Paris where everyone goes, so you won't see the crowds that frequest the Latin Quarter or Champs Elysees. However, it is close to the metro and pretty soon we got the hang of switching metros and going to all the places we wanted to. The kitchen is a very nice feature. We were able to cook some wonderful French cuisine and enjoy an evening in. The highspeed internet worked okay (some problems with VPN -- remember to follow their written instructions carefully) We came in from Gare du Nord and had a trip planned to the South from Gare de Lyon. Both the stations are easy to reach from here. Overall, a very memorable experience. The only slightly negative thing is that if you like being in the thick of things -- from here you have to either walk or take the metro. But, hey, you in Paris!

This was an apart'hotel. The thing that caught my eye was the kitchenette. I liked the idea of preparing my own food to save money on restaurants. The problem was the don't have maid service except once per week! I only stayed four nights. That means four nights with the same bed sheets and towels! Also the heater didn't work the first two nights and we only had one small blanket. At any other hotel you simply ask for another one. This one wants to charge you extra! We also ran out of hot water one evening. That never happens at a nice hotel. Oh well. Live and learn.

The room / apartment is conveniently located, about 200 metres from the nearest Metro (Richard Lenoir ) and close to two other Metro stations (Bastille is 7 minutes walk away) and a very close bus route. The apartment was at the rear of the building - no view but quiet. Reception was helpful, polite and efficient. The free broadband Internet service in reception area was an appreciated service. But note that familiarity with a French computer keyboard would help users! The room was rather soulless and with only one upright chair and one easy chair, eating at table or watching TV was not easy for two. It gave the impression of being eqipped for a single traveller rather than for two people. The tiny dishwasher was not needed - since it was out of order. Incidentally, travellers should not forget dish washing detergent and the basics of ingredients (salt, pepper, cooking oil) for cooking. Cutlery, pans, pottery and drying cloths for utensils are provided. No cleaning / bed making service was provided during the five night stay and the beds were two singles ( not easy to open / close.) rather than the double anticipated. Since we were out from early morning to late evening we hardly used the kitchen at all. The price was high and since I did not have acccess to a promotional; code, a more reasonable price was not available. I doubt that I would book again since in terms of value for money I believe their are better alternatives.

Visited and stayed in a studio apartment with my 9 year old son in August 2008. Very well equipped - microwave, hairdryer, even a little dishwasher! Only downside was transforming the sofa into beds every night (and back again in the morning) but not a big deal. Also quite noisy, so we had to keep the windows closed at night, but only to be expected in the centre of Paris I suppose. Would definitely return, but to a larger apartment. Staff v. friendly and helpful.

Check in was far from smooth as the electronic cards would not open the door, after 3 returns to reception a member of staff came up and we were then allocated another room. Again, the lock mechanism would not work and we had to return to reception - other guests had similar problems. After getting in some 30 mins after arriving the room itself was nice enough, but the drunks and beggars in the area adjacent to the hotel did not make it a pleasant stay. We are regular visitors to Paris and usually stay at the Ibis Bastille (in the same Accor Group) or the Cittadines Bastille, both are far more basic. We will return to Paris again but next time it will be back to one of the latter two, both which are clean but simple and in far nicer sorroundings.

Dishwasher & coffee maker did not work and hotel did not address the former and took days to address the latter - shower had no curtain - washer/dryer facilities were overly expensive - day front desk staff very helpful - night front desk staff not helpful at all - does have 1 computer avail for internet

Room was reasonable and clean, and the hotel has a luggage storage room. We were able to check out, and leave our luggage for the day to continue sightseeing, then reclaim our luggage later and head for home. Close to the metro, and in a quiet neighborhood. A short walk to the Bastille monument, shops, and restaurants.

superbe accueil, j'y suis allée seule avec ma fille le personnel très attentionné. La chambre très bien équipé, situation impecable, près de plusieurs stations de métro et un arrêt de bus interessant.

Vi var meget tilfredse med vores 3 dage på dette hotel, som ligger godt i nærheden af Bastillen og Marais kvarteret.

Hôtel bien situé à proximité d'un métro et de commerces. Endroit calme. Appartement spacieux même pour 4.

Bon hotel, bien placé, bon service. Le principe de mini studio est très intéressant. Petit bémol sur la literie, et sur le fait qu'il ait fallu attendre 3 jours pour faire changer le flexible de douche. Nous avons tout de même apprécié l'hotel, peu de bruit, studio fonctionnel, propre.

Concept pratique s'il l'on ne veut pas manger tous les jours au restaurant ! On peut se faire un petit repas dans la chambre

hübsches Zimmer, Doppelbett ist ein Schlafsofa, das bei längerem Liegen etwas unbequem ist. Die Anbindung an U-Bahn und BUs ist gut. Mit der 69 kann man bis zur Endstation Quai d'Orsay fahren und unterwegs die Stadt besichtigen. Schnell zu Fuß im Marais, an der Bastille, bei der Ile St. Louis. Sonntag Morgen Wochenmarkt

geräumige apartments mit kleiner küche, kleinem flur, badezimmer. etwas umständliche klappbetten. praktisch zum ausgehen, bastille-viertel auf der einen, marais auf der anderen seite. metro und velib station in der nähe. unbedingt hochgelegene zimmer oder nach hinten raus buchen, wg auto- und metro-lärm
