Hotel Linda - Ámsterdam

This is a dreary hotel desperately in need of ripping apart and redecorating. My room was too small for the furniture - impossible to sit at the tiny desk! The hotel was generally clean, but there is little that can be done about the dust-impregnated and grotty carpets apart from tearing them out. Breakfast was fine and the staff very friendly.

The staff was very accomodating by allowing four of us to keep our luggage behind the front desk so we could still shop at a nearby street market after we had already checked out. This was a great deal for the money, however the location was a little far for walking to most attractions though if your interested in touring Heinekin you will be located within four blocks.

I don't say this without great thought, but the Linda was really bad. The room, as others have said, is TINY. The bathroom door hit the side of the bed after opening half way. There were many dead bugs in the ceiling light. Bathroom was semi-moldy and smelled. Hotel is very noisy (fire alarms went off multiple nights). Price is unreasonable for what you get. Close to a tram stop, that was the only good thing. We spent 3 weeks in Europe on this trip, and even though we are low maintenance and not picky people, the Linda was really poor overall.... especially when there are clearly so many other hotels to choose from in Amsterdam.

I spent 3 days at the Linda hotel and I have to admit it's been a very enjoyable experience. The room was small but very clean and the bed was fantastic: the most comfortable I've ever slept on! The bathroom was perfect and I fell in love with their shower!!! The only downfall was THE STAIRS: how steep were they???? But still, it was a good exercise! The only advise I would give is to put some kind of drawers or a small wardrobe in the room since it was a bit annoying to have to open the laggage any time we needed something, but apart from that it was wonderful. The staff were amazing: friendly, polite, always smiling and very helpful. A very good staff!!! Wonderful experience, I'll definitely go back to Amsterdam and to the Linda hotel again.

I booked two rooms at this hotel for the weekend. The rooms were small and basic. But I guess we got what we paid for. I wasn't very happy with my room though. It had a separating door to the room next door through which I could hear absolutely everything when the other occupant came back in. I could also smell the cigarrette smoke wafting beneath that separating door. There are no lifts in this hotel. Our rooms were on the third floor and in Amsterdam the climb up the staircases are very steep. So be warned. The room I was in appeared to overlook a tiny inner yard area. Very noisy at night.

the hotel was clean and the people where very pleasant, on arrival i had to pay a tax fee? no questions asked the money was paid and onto the room, the room was light and clean when we arrived, we noticed that the curtains where a bit stained and brown, but other than that everything was fine. the hotel is in a convient place, easy accsess to the trams ( short walk over the road) and into stadhouderskade surround areas, a short walk to a local supermarket and the all important cafe's. the bedding did not get changed in our 5 days, which i am perfectly fine with as where my other holiday makers. the stairs are steep but this is the case with most Amsterdam hotels. the continental brekfast was nothing spectacualr but i enjoyed it, wide selection which was adiquate and enjoyable. the dinning area is small but clean and the catering staf where pleasent and let you get on with your self service. i throughly enjoyed my stay at hotel linda and would book it again today!

The room was quiet, clean, and well located if you like to be near the Centrum.

A decent hotel for a city break if you do not intend to spend any time in the hotel besides sleeping. Room and bathroom were very small. Breakfast was not pleasant. Service level was poor. Had window to a back alley with lots of flies and moscitos which came into the room. Fairly noise as well since hotel was occuppied mostly by younger people. On the plus side, the room was clean.

The service desk was very helpful, however checkin is only after 2 pm. The rooms are a bit small with few places to hang clothes and the floors are shaking when people are walking on the stairs. The heating element was also making some strange sounds 630 in the morning! Besides from these minor things the hotel is closely located to the center and has a general good atmosphere.

Bien placé (tramway, bateau, musées,...) parking privé, tarifs raisonnables, accueil agréable : qualités appréciables qui me feront le conseiller ou y revenir. A améliorer : confort de la chambre et de la literie

un drap taché n'a pas été changé , c'est la seule chose que je reproche. Il faudrait mettre un panneau expliquant que si on fume dans la chambre cela déclenche l'alarme incendie (3 fois en une nuit)

Treppen sind teilweise sehr steil, für Reisende mit größeren Koffern sicherlich ein Problem. Das Zimmer war recht klein, für zwei Personen mit Koffer nicht zu empfehlen. Die Matratze war recht weich. Die Nachttischlampe war wacklig (1 von 4 Gummifüßen fehlte), auf dem Minibalkon lagen auf dem Boden noch Zigarettenstummel und die Garderobenkonstruktion war lose. Dieses und z.B. die Bettwäsche vermittelten nicht wirklich den Eindruck von allzu großem Interesse des Hotels, daß der Gast sich wohlfühlen soll. Das Badezimmer war hingegen renoviert und in Ordnung. Frühstück war in Ordnung. Fazit: Für eine Übernachtung war es ok, gute Lage da einfach mit Tram (Linie 4) vom Hbf aus zu erreichen. Beim nächsten Mal würde ich jedoch lieber noch ein paar Euro drauflegen für eine andere Unterkunft.

Budgethotel mit gutem, vielseitigem Frühstuecksbuffet(v. 8-10 Uhr, ausser Sonntag von 8-11 Uhr). Die Lage ist gut. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Nebengebaeude- mit wahnsinnig hohem Treppenaufgang(man kommt sich vor wie ein Bergsteiger). Die Vorhaenge und der Teppich sind vielleicht nicht mehr die neuesten, und ich wuerde auch nicht vom Boden essen, aber von all den Budgethotels in denen wir waren, war es sicher eines der Besseren. Fuer junge Leute, die nicht viel Zeit im Zimmer verbringen wollen, kann ich es weiterempfehlen, da es ziemlich zentral liegt und man nach einer langen Disconacht kein Taxi braucht! Das einzig stoerende ist der Umsatnd, dass man das Zimmer am letzten Tag bereits um 11 Uhr raeumen muss.
