Eurostars Astoria - Málaga

The first thing we noticed on entering the room was a strong smell of bleach and cleaning products. It was only later that evening that we realised this was probably to cover up the strong smell of sewage. I couldn't quite understand if it was from the toiler itself, the sink or outside but there was a very unsettling smell of blocked drains. Our room was at the back looking onto a dark and ugly courtyard. Luckily we only stayed one night as a stopover before our flight from malaga airport. Avoid this room at all costs, unless u don't mind the smell of sewage! A plus is the helpful staff and the room price seemed ok but no room should smell like that!

Very clean hotel in a quiet location near the old town with it's wonderful old streets, restaurants and historical buildings. Great for meandering and exploring the real character of Malaga. Room comfortable and compact, but not suitable for a long stay.

This hotel was close to the bus route of the bus from the airport and also close to the train and bus stations for onward travel. Clean and comfortable with a nice buffet breakfast (continental) if you want it. also close to the centre of malaga

We chose this hotel as we only had one night in Malaga. No 19 bus runs every half hour from airport to Malaga. The bus stop is less than ten minutes walk.(about two stops after bus station) Check in was very quick and self service breakfast very good. Starting from 7.30. Definitely would go back. Hotel in near the old part of Malaga which is beautiful.

The only two faults that I could find with this hotel are that it doesn't have tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms, although coffee and tea is available from the dining room in the morning, I found it expensive. Also other hotels I have stayed in, in several countries including China always provide free drinking water, this was available from the bar in the room but again it was very pricey.

excellent boutique hotel for the money. The staff was courteous, and spoke English. The hotel was clean. The only negative was finding the hotel. Although there is a top floor lit marquis, it was still difficult to locate. Overall, worth it!

I found the Astoria good value for money. Accessible, even quiet. Clean, comfortable room - mine was a good size and looked out over the Guadalmedina. breakfast provided an excellent choice, although it was !0.50euros. Pity that my impression of the hotel was spoiled by the staff in reception who clearly were not interested in their guests. I even failed to get a 'Goodbye' or 'Have a good journey'! as I checked out!

Hotel was very hard to find - signs to the hotel we found misleading. there was no cart to bring our luggage in. No coffee in the hotel at all - we really missed that in the morning. the rooms were not that bad - but could not connect to the internet. I would try to find a different place next time.

Overall the hotel was fine - good location, near the subway. The building and rooms were clean however there was this strange order in our bathroom that smelled like sewage. It wasn't continuous but when it was present you definitely noticed it. Also the shower seemed to leak all over the floor everytime we used it which caused a bothersome collection of water all over the bathroom floor. The side of the tub has wood panels which appear to be rotting as a result. We travelled with two other couples who had similar problems with the leaking in their rooms, though they did not complain of any strange odors in their bathrooms. Their breakfast was okay. I found a fly in the OJ pitcher which of course was a turnoff. The scrambled eggs looked pretty questionable but everything else was fine.

Great room for the money!

Very clean, spacious and well equipped. Very freindly and helpful staff.

The hotel has a good location, very close to city centre. It might be some traffic noise for some rooms, because it fronts one of the roads out of the city. My room was at the back so there was no problem. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was ok.

Rapporto qualità prezzo veramente ottimo; l'hotel è a 5 minuti a piedi dal centro, camere ampie molto curate, idromassaggio, terrazzino... Parcheggio custodito (extra di 15 euro/gg) a disposizione a 50 metri dall'hotel.

Jag såg ett smutsigt mensskydd in i toahinken som luktade illa, vilket var katastrofallt för mig från början. Synd.

Hotellet var i den billigere ende, men standarden var stadig i top. Jeg har boet på andre hoteller i Malaga til ca. samme pris, men de var ikke i nærheden af dette. Værelset dejligt rent, der var diverse luksus-ting såsom boblebad etc., og personalet var meget behjælpelige med alt. Herudover var morgenmadsbuffetten også ganske glimrende, igen set i forhold til andre hotellers ditto. Og endelig var hotellets placering perfekt i forhold til byen, og uanset om man skulle den ene eller anden vej. Alt i alt var det et hotel, jeg uden tvivl ville søge efter igen, hvis jeg skulle overnatte i Malaga.

Parkeren is lastig, en duur. Kamer ligt op een goede locatie op loopafstand van alles in het centrum.

rent o prydligt. Dock en liten besvikelse att det vid bokning på nätet stod att frukost ingick, vid framkomst var det inte så utan ett dyrt tillägg! Centralt bra, trevlig personal.

Hotel bien mais accueil distant, aucun signe d'intérêt par rapport aux clients ; si ennui aucune aide .

Das Hotel hat unsere Erwartungen deutlich übertroffen. Hatten sonst immer nur 4 Sterne gebucht, aber in diesem Hotel mit 3 Sterne war vieles besser als in anderen 4 Sternehotels. Ist sehr zu empfehlen, deshalb bekommt es von uns ****

Hotellet lå nær handlestrøket. Nær jernbane og busstasjon.

War echt nicht so der Knaller, aber auch nix wo man sich hinterher ärgert. Wohl eher was für Businesspeople die auf die schnelle eine vernünftige und preiswerte Absteige suchen. Parkplätze ist echt kritisch.

Hotellet ligger perfekt om man vill ha nära till buss- eller tågstation. Man promenerar dit på tio minuter och till gamla stan på tio minuter. Det enda vi var missnjda med var att luftkonditioneringen fungerade dåligt och det var väldigt varmt i rummet.
