It's not cheap, but it is a great value as you are literally right around the corner and a few minutes from Fenway. Some of the upper rooms look out onto Fenway, which is quite a sight. It was like daytime out our window from all the lights, but it was great. The hotel itself is very clean, quiet and comfortable. It is on the fancier side, yet during our 3-day stay the majority of guests were in shorts and Red Sox shirts, and everyone felt right at home. Also, before arriving, be ready for a speedy turnover to the valet (remember tip money). You pull up to the door right on the street, and you need to be ready to jump out. Lots to do and places to eat within a couple minutes. T station right under the hotel. Overall, a great first experience staying right by Fenway Park.

This hotel is in a nice area. The T stop entrance is right underneath the hotel and access to the rest of the city is convenient from there. The rooms are nice. Anything street-side naturally has the typical vehicle and motorcycle noise bleeding through the double-pane windows - more noticeable late at night. The size of the rooms are nice - large compared to NYC. The service is very good. The check-in and check-out went smoothly. The free DVD rentals are a nice touch. They deliver the DVDs in a nice paper bag along with a bag of popcorn - nice touch. Free Internet access was a plus.

Living in Boston for a few years, I had seen the reconstruction of the Hotel Commonwealth, but had never ventured past the restaurants. Going back to Boston for a visit, I chose to stay there and was very impressed. It is a beautiful hotel with tremendous service, and the rooms are very spacious, considering the location. It is the best high-end hotel I have stayed in in Boston (I have stayed in many of them). Check the Red Sox schedule before you book - it is a block from Fenway and can get noisy during games.

Hotel Commonwealth is beautifully appointed and the rooms extremely comfortable. The Kenmore Square location is ideal for visiting Boston University and the colleges on the Fenway (e.g. Northeastern, Simmons Wheelock). The rooms are very quiet in spite of the Hotel's busy location.

We wanted to treat ourselves to a better hotel and this really was a treat. The only downside that I was not aware of was that we were going to be charged 39 dollars to park our car. I wish that was highlighted when we made our reservation.

The hotel staff was courteous and very helpful. I was upgraded at check in to the next level room at no extra charge. The room was very clean and spacious. I used the valet service while I was there. Although the price seems steep, the outside lots are only $9.00 cheaper! I would definitely stay there on my next trip into Boston!

This hotel is in a great location. T is right next door but we were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to go. When we arrived we received an upgrade to two queen beds at no charge (we booked a King but had wanted two queens). The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Room was very clean, very comfortable. It was quiet. We couldn't hear street noise or other people in their rooms. We would definitely stay here again.

This was by far, the most wonderful hotel stay I have had. My husband and I were staying here to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. We love baseball - no matter who is playing - and they arranged for an early check-in so that we could make it to the Futures at Fenway game in plenty of time. Our room had an awesome view of Fenway Park. The location is great! Such a short walk to Fenway! The "T" station was right there and made it easy to get downtown for some sightseeing, too! And the staff was super friendly. They surprised us with Champagne and an anniversary card. What a wonderful treat! They also arranged to ship home all of the souvenirs we had bought and called me to confirm the ship method and carrier even after we'd checked out. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Boston. You couldn't ask for a better stay and a better location.

Very comfortable and clean room. Highly professional staff. Five minute walk to Fenway and the subway is just outside the door. The associated restaurant that is accessed by a corridor is trendy and pricey and requires a careful read of the menu before ordering. I guess in an effort to be trendy they have added or substituted ingredients that may not appeal to some. The "b" in their BLT stands for beef tongue not bacon, as an example. Another dish contained sweet breads. In the evening the bar was packed with singles, the music was loud and the lights were low. Very club like. I was also very surprised that they didn't stock Jack Daniels, I assume it was too ordinary. I was offered an unfamiliar bourbon as a substitute. The bottom line is I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the hotel again but I'll dine elsewhere.

This upscale modern hotel is ideally situated just steps from Fenway Park, hop on hop off trolley stop, and Boston University. Our room was huge with a nice view of the Back Bay lights, comfortable, clean and quiet. Rooms are available with views of Fenway Park (the stadium, not the ball field itself) and Boston proper is easily reached by trolley or metro.

I paid the premium fee to get what was advertised to be a "fenway room" -- the website clearly stated that I would have a view of Fenway Park. However, when I checked in, I was given a room on the opposite side of the hotel from Fenway Park on a low floor (2). Very, very disappointed. Additionally, I requested "turn down" service and never got it.

We liked this hotel very much. The Customer Service was outstanding! We got room service and the food was pretty good. Expensive, but good! The Foundation was a nice place to chill after a concert we went to and we didn't eat at the restaurant but would have had we stayed a bit longer. The room was very nice, linens were comfy and the mini-bar could have been more widely stocked but was decent. Cons for me were the price, we can get A LOT more for the price here in Maine, but understandable considering the location and time of year. Also, there was no bathtub. it was just a basic shower and tub, so that was a bummer. A bubblebath would have been nice. :) Also, the water pressure was ridiculous! My husband loved it, but it hurt my back and head so I couldn't really enjoy my shower either. OH! I LOVED the shampoo and skin products! Not that those are really important, but I will be buying some of my own for home. I gave it a 5 all around except for comfort...only because of the reasons listed above. I would recommend this place to others, but next time might try to find some place with a nicer bathroom.

We stayed here because of its proximity to Children's Hospital (about 1.3 miles away). We had booked two rooms for three nights, which were graciously upgraded on our arrival. I can honestly say they were the most luxurious hotel rooms I have ever had the chance to stay in. Huge and plush, with everything to make our stay supremely comfortable. The staff were ultra-professional, polite and personable. We are a well-traveled family, and have had many upscale vacation and business travel experiences, but the rooms here simply can't be topped. An amazing value and sumptuous experience. The BEST hotel in Boston!

This hotel was very nice. We were visiting Boston to attend a Red Sox game and it was only a short walk to Fenway. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping and lovely parks. I only have two downsides: I was caught off-guard by the additional steep fee for parking - although admit it may be standard with city hotels. And, the shower head was low and unstable. Neither of us could get it to stay at a comfortable height.

An exceptionally nice hotel, the staff could not be nicer and the room was more than sufficient. The room service however is a different story. The weekday room service (Breakfast) was fantastic but the following day, (a Saturday) it was not so great. The quality of the food was far below that of the previous day. Maybe the weekend chef had a hangover.

we stayed at the Hotel Commonwealth for one night, after a Red Sox game--it was everything i was hoping it would be from viewing it online. The lobby of the hotel is beautiful, the young women at the front desk was SUPER pleasant...the room was beautifully decorated...the bed linens were a great quality...the bed was very comfortable and our view (although it was just the room next door) was still pleasant. The bathroom was large and well lit--there were plenty of towels already and the shower was a nice, strong stream. The best part of the hotel (beyond how happy i was with the room) was it's proximity to Fenway Park (and all of the bars and restaurants around), but also for Eastern Standard--the attached restaurant. Although the service wasn't amazing (our waiter--the bartender was phenomenal) the food and drinks were great!!! We would absolutely stay here again--happily!

Our stay at the Hotel Commonwealth was everything we expected. Huge room, comfortable room, great location, staff treated us like stars. But for how expensive it is, it should have meet all our expectations!! Parking was very expensive too, $39 a night, you can park at the end of the "T" at Riverside for $6 a night. Then take the "T" to the Kennmore stop, which is located below the hotel. And the train ride is only about 20 minutes long. Overall, I will return to this hotel, and would recommend it to anyone who spends a little more time in the hotel room than the normal person... As we do.
