Hotel Ca'D'oro - Venecia

Because of the lower price than other hotels, I was not expecting much. However, I was pleasantly surprised! No complaints whatsoever. Don't miss the good view from the balcony/smoking area. Conveniently located near Rialto between the train station and San Marco Square. Unfortunately, I had to stay at another hotel on the second day, and the other hotel was about 30% more expensive and the room, service and amenities were not even close... I will stay at this hotel again next time in Venice.

Very central and easy to spot although the directions did not do justice when you don't realise just how small the streets are.

The hotel is wonderful and is very close to everything. Only trouble we had is to find the hotel - the google map had lead us to a wrong location. Note: there's no taxi there. Hsiao-Ling

The Hotel was small but clean and comfortable, and very quiet. Above all, as we went in December and the weather was very cold, the hotel was toasty warm at all times. Our only complaint was that there were no facilties in our room for making tea or coffee. The staff were helpful and polite, and the hotel was situated within a few minutes walk from the vaporetto which was very convenient. Highly recommended for the price we paid.

Hotel Ca D'oro was very nice in size our room had a good size bathroom a sitting area, and was very clean. We had a view of the canal that was nice and close to good dining and shops. However we had a small problem with misquetos that were getting in our room from a window that didn't shut properly. After taking some garlic pills this problem was resolved and our room was quite comfortable with nice decore. Stephanie from Los Angeles

The hotel was ideally situated for access to all parts of Venice and gave us a lovely refuge after a day sightseeing. The rooms are not particularly large but reasonable for a city centre hotel and the corner suite had a terrific view down a small canal. The staff were very helpful and always pleasant. Breakfasts were basic but more than adequate. Overall a very good place to stay.

Great Value hotel, compact rooms but spotless and a super location right on the canals... easy to get to all the main attractions, friendly and helpful staff... what more do you need.

Short trip from Venice Station and only 10-15 minute stroll to San Macro square. Great breakfast. Organised hotel. A great location with Venetian locals, good food cheaper and good range of shops including a supermarket to stock up for the dya trip.

This Hotel is within easy walking distance from Rialto Bridge . The rooms are well equipped .

The location of this place wasn't too bad. You're a 10 minute walk from San Marco and a little less from the Rialto Bridge. Walk the other way and you're 5 minutes from the casino (if that's your sort of thing). The staff speak English fluently and are quite friendly. The rooms were clean but quite small with bare eminities. We had a huge problem with mosquitoes. Over the three nights we were there I was bitten 30-40 times including on my face, back, arms and neck. Made the stay less enjoyable I must say.

This Hotel was very good and clean. within walking distance to tourist places, yet quiet and relaxing. The staff were very helpful. If you are a heavy weight person you may not fit in the shower. The shower is very small.

The Hotel Ca'Do'ra was much much more than we expected. Friendly people and room comfort made our trip to Venice enjoyable, pleasant and fun. The service was excellent as well as its location and close proximity to all areas of Venice. I had 5 other people in our party and we were all impressed with the quality of this hotel. We will definitley stay at this hotel again.

The hotel seems to be charming little place. The rooms are small, but decorated in a pretty venetian style. good for one or a couple. beds were not that comfortable however and you can hear through the walls to the hallways.

Nice rooms with beatiful sealing and walls, close to most sights in central Venice

Das Hotel verdient seine drei Sterne gut. Es liegt ideal vom Flughafen aus gesehen d. h. gut und schnell erreichbar mit Booten. Die Lage ist ruhig und man ist schnell im Zentrum. Preis/Leistungsverhälnis sehr gut (für Venedig).

This hotel has a superb location - right by a small canal where you can be picked up by water taxi, or if you prefer the Vaporetto it is an easy walk both from the Ca' d'Oro stop at Canal Grande and the stop at Fondamente Nove (with direct lines to/from the airport). It is also just 10 minutes form San Marco, and it is much more quiet around this hotel than around San Marco. We would have appreciatet a fridge in our room, though, for cool drinks. The hotel is nicely decorated, and the staff is very kind and helpful, and speaks perfect English (recepetion).

L'hôtel est bien situé, dans une rue calme, proche du grand canal et pas très loin à pied de la gare et de la place Saint Marc. La petite rue où il se trouve est calme. Notre chambre ne donnait pas sur le canal, mais elle était quand même très agréable et meublée avec soin.

Situé en plein centre ville, dans une petite rue, cet hôtel est au calme, tout en étant proche du pont de Rialto, de la place San Marco et à 3 mn des Vaporetti. Commerces et restaurants à proximité. Propreté sans faille, chambre confortable et spacieuse, le personnel est très gentil et parle français. Connexion Wi-fi pas chère (3 euros pour 2 heures) dispo dans le lobby. N'ayant pas pris de petit déjeuner, je ne peux pas le juger. En résumé, parfait !

Very good service, friendly starf and a cosy small hotel in the heart of Venice. Silent in the night and close to good restaurants that is not to expensive.

Bra läge med lagom promenadavstånd till det mesta. Rena rum där allt nödvändigt fanns. Takterassen var häftig, med utsikt över takåsarna. Dock är dessa snuskfiltar till täcken bedrövliga.. men det är ju inte specifikt för detta hotell.

Die Anfahrtsbeschreibung ist perfekt, das Hotel vom Vaporetto-Halt Ca d'oro aus in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Traghetto-Service gleich nebenan setzt zum Markt am Rialto über. Zimmer war zwar klein, aber außerordentlich geschmackvoll und gemütlich gestaltet. Das immer wieder bemängelte karge Frühstück finde ich in diesem Hotel für italienische Verhältnisse völlig in Ornung - auch die 7 Euro dafür sind nicht zu viel. Die Dachterrasse ist traumhaft schön, die Lage absolut optimal und der Service sehr persönlich und zuvorkommend. Es war ein echtes "Zuhause" auf Zeit uns wird mein Stammhotel in Venedig!
