Piave Hotel - Mestre

I thought this was in a good location and only about a 15 minute or so train ride to Venice. And the employees were very friendly.

we had read reviews before we reserved, we took a chance and if paid off, very clean, although small, but that is normal in europe. the ac worked great. we dealt with 4 staff that were all very pleasant and helpful, they spoke enough english. it was close to the train station, and to a nice supermarket, the breakfast buffet was extra cost, but well worth it.. fresh croissants and cappucinno every day! we felt relatively safe walking in the area, the train station is a short walk. the only downfall maybe there were not too many resturants in the area.

The place was depressing. The guy at reception was rude and not very helpful, and after we got to our room, we discovered that we had no hot water. After complaining, we were eventually able to take a lukewarm shower, but in mid-March, even at the warmest temperature setting, the weak flow of water kept us shivering the entire time... The tub was leaky (the plug didn't work) so that was also out of the question. Fresh towels were in the bathroom for us, but before we were ready to use them, a mound of dust had accumulated on top - apparently the room hadn't been used in a while, and turning on the light (and fan) in the bathroom had caused the junk in the fan to come falling - disgusting. In addition, the shutter outside our window wasn't working very well, and opened only partially. It claims to be 3-star, but was much, much less.

A noisy night with loud neighbours and thin walls "Humorous" staff - friendly or not? Difficult to tell!

I stayed 2 nights in Hotel Piave but because of nature of my trip I didn’t really stay in hotel. There was no breakfast included (which for the price was surprising) that I could comment on but people on front desk nice and helpful. My room sure was clean but extremely small which for longer stay would be a problem. Getting to Venice was easier than I expected because it takes 10 minutes on the train and hotel is very close to train station.

We spent 3 days at Hotel al Piave in May 2008 and thought the accommodation was excellent. It was easy to locate, and it is well situated being only a few minutes walk from St Marks Sq. and the vaporetto stop at San Zaccarrio. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel, although small, is of very high quality. The standard of the decor throughout was excellent, as was our room and the breakfast was very good. We had absolutely no complaints and I would certainly go back to this hotel.

Nice hotel in close proximity to St Marks Square, little tricky to find but worth it. Rooms basic but very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast too, meats, cheeses, cereals, breads and plenty of cappacino. Would definitely go back!

as long as you are armed with a good street map not hard to find. friendly staff, good breakfast perhaps could be varied day to day. clean rooms and fresh towls daily,was fairly small and bit noisy but perfect for short break. ideal location central but off main tourist routes so less busy but still in nice area. i would recommend for short stay.

Room was very small, but clean and adequate for my needs. It was close to the train station which made going to the Venice S. Lucia station and waterbuses very convenient. Hotel had a good breakfast buffet.

This hotel is truly lovely and I cannot recomend it enough for small groups and couples. The service is proffesional and unobtrusive and the rooms we stayed in were beautifull.

Malgré un surclassement à l'arrivée, cet hôtel nous a surpris par sa multitude de services non inclus et payants comme le parking, le petit déjeuner, internet ce qui a fait s'alourdir notre facture finale. Le confort est sommaire mais un effort a été apporté à la décoration, le personnel parfois occupé ce qui le rend peu disponible malgré une présence continue à toutes les heures de la nuit (appréciable par les gens qui rentrent tard). L'hôtel est tout de même une excellente alternative pour amoindrir le séjour sur Venise il est idéalement situé à moins de 5 mins à pieds de la gare de Mestre.

Fantastiskt hotell för att vara trestjärnigt! Rummen var rena och fina och städades noggrant varje dag. Bekväma sängar och fräscht badrum med riktig toalett. Klimatkontrollen/airconditionen på rummet var guld värd i juli! Receptionen är enligt utsago från portiern, bemannad till omkring midnatt varje dag. Frukosten på hotellet är ganska basic men helt ok och fylls ständigt på. Man får även kaffe/choklad speciellt brygd till en, stort plus! Sparar många slantar! Det är lätt att ta sig till hotellet/flygplatsen och läget är bra med massor av sevärdigheter inom en kort promenad. Hotellet ligger dock på en lugn gata och man kunde somna utan problem.

Per quanto noi abbiamo effettivamente usufruito dell’hotel(punto di appoggio per visitare Venezia) possiamo tranquillamente dire che,posizione perfetta ,bus e treni praticamente dietro l’angolo(130m,2€ a/r xP), la camera si presentava pulita ed abbastanza “abitabile”considerando che eravamo in 4,la colazione è risultata più che buona calcolando i 15€ che abbiamo pagato,il parcheggio auto abbastanza comodo ad un costo ragionevole (10€ ). Per finire possiamo concludere dicendo di aver trovato ciò che volevamo ad un prezzo veramente ottimo per il rapporto qualità prezzo espresso. Consigliato sicuramente come base per visitare Venezia !!

Ett okej alternativ för den med en mindre budjet.

- Très bon rapport qualité/prix - Hôtel très bien situé : à 5 mn de la place St Marc mais au calme - Accueil et service très agréables - Petit déjeuner complet et bon (juste un bémol sur le café) - Chambres nettoyées + serviettes changées tous les jours - Bons restos, bar sympa et boutique de masques magnifique à deux pas

Consigliatissimo per chi, come me, cercava la sistemazione migliore per partecipare alla Venice Marathon

Je suis sincèrement décu par notre séjour. Chambre très petite, petit déjeuner insipide. Salle de bain, de 2 metres carrés comprenant lavabo, bidet, douche et WC!!! Execrable

un petit problème cependant : l'isolation

pareti troppo sottili ho dovuto aspettare che i vicini andassero a dormire per avere io una notte di riposo.

Una struttura valida, con un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo specie per l'area ove è situato. Da tenere presente.
